Best hotels & accommodations in Bolivia

The hotel is very convenient and stylish, the room is very big and clean. The hotel boss and staff are very helpful and niece. We have been stayed in Bolivia for 5 days but can only booked 2 nights but they are very helpful to keep an eye on it if there is any room for us to stay for 3 nights more.

Location: The hotel is just 5 min walk from Sagarnaga Street, so it's basically close to many things a tourist need. Staff: The staff of the hotel have been extremely helpful. During our stay in La Paz, we had one flight and one cross-border bus cancelled. The staff have tried their best to offer help and showed their support to us. Decorations: Set in a restored...

First of all, we chose this place because it is just few minutes walk from the bus drop-off point. we know our bus ride will arrive early in the morning from La Paz, thus, we chose a place that is very accessible by foot. We wish to have a rest immediately since we only plan to take the Salar de Uyuni tour the next day. We were delighted by the hospitality of the male...

we stayed twice in this hotel, before and after trip to national park. We love this hotel that all made from salt include wall, ceilling, tables, even bed! Hotel provides decend hot shower and heater which is really important when you travel here in winter. We didnt like the shower pressure in our first stay (water can change from hot to cold constantly), so we mentione...

Staff were rude, especially if you didn't speak spanish. They wouldn't let us check in until gone midday despite arriving on an overnight bus at 7am- if this was hotel policy and universally applied we would have accepted it, however we saw other people checking in as soon as they arrived - hours before this time. There were rooms available on the day we arrived as we ...

A wonderful little oasis in a freezing cold Uyuni. The room was extremely comfortable mainly thanks to the electrical blanket! Would have struggled without that. Clean toilet and okay breakfast. Great staff who made sure I had a taxi early the next morning to ensure I made it to the airport when a taxi strike would block roads. Highly recommended.

After having read reviews that the garden rooms were quieter, I was glad when I was taken there but it did not last long. The showers are far far away (and as it was raining, you get wet to get to them and wet again to go back to your room). The room (1 big comfy bed) was so humid that it smelt of mould and of course no heater. Your towel cannot dry and you can't leav...

I think this is the best hostel in Uyuni considering price. Staffs are really nice and helpful. They have warm ...

Walking distance to center, markets, restaurants and 2 Teleferico stations. Nice, English speaking staff. They store luggage during trekking trips out of town and deliver quick laundry service. Breakfast is very basic but sufficient to get the day started. Felt very safe & secure there.

great staff and nice room - the few negatives are cold water shower, toilet paper cannot be deposited in toilet, hotel is up approx. 3 stair levels high with no elevator, and very slow wifi - but friendly and accommodating staff strive to please and that is very important

We only stayed one night as we were passing back through La Paz. We had stayed in two other places in La Paz previously. This was the best for location and room had everything you needed, we were high up so it wasn't that loud which was great. Wifi in our room. Hotel staff helpful. Room was clean but bathroom was cold, no biggy. Room was ok size, TV worked well. Check...

Good choice if you just transfer in La Paz. It may cause you 5 US dollar for taxi. Quite clean compared to other hotel in Bolivia. But when you pay by US dollar, they can only give you Boliviano, and don't accept visa. This is troublesome for me, they gave me Boliviano value 60 US dollar....while I will leave this Bolivia after few hours.

Koala Den has a great atmosphere and was a good place to meet other travellers. The staff were super lovely and helpful and the location was great. Shower was good, breakfast was good. The only problem was the pillows which were like sandbags: massive and hard. There was no way you could sleep with them unfortunately. But I’d stay here again.

This hotel was a bit more expensive than other hotels in the area but it had hot water and a good breakfast. They did turn off the internet at 10 pm which was annoying for those of us that stay up later. They offered a heating unit but ours did not work. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was more than most hotels had offered in Bolivia.

The little rooms are hardly enough however, the big room we stayed in was generous (we did not stay in the wagons). The location of this hotel is perfect, its walk able to everything, and right in front of all the tours organisers you will need to spend your time in Uyuni. Ask Chris to point out the best operators to book with. The staff are friendly and you can ask C...

Very helpful staff in a beautifull hotel with HEATING! Rooms are spotless and probably have the hottest showers in Bolivia. Breakfast includes fresh juice, eggs, local bread, cereal, cheese, cookies, cafe, ect. We decided to treat ourselves to this lovely hotel after backpacking for 6 months and couldnt be more pleased. Great place to stay in La Paz, would highly recco...

No matter what you need, Stannum will provide it. The staff are the best in the world. The ambiance, the design and comfort of the rooms and the location are perfect. The wifi works perfectly. I've been to 80 countries and stayed in more hotels than I can count and Stannum is the best.

Positives: There were eggs at breakfast which was a welcome change from the norm. We spent a few hours after check-out in the seating area on the roof to sort out a fee things online. Negative: The hostel was kind enough to store our backpacks while we went to Isla del Sol for a night, however, when we picked them up on our return, the bottom of the bags were soaking...

The biggest plus was definitely that it was absolutely clean. We had a shared bathroom with two toilets and two showers. All of them were cleaned regularly and there was also hot water. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We didn‘t but it is also possible to book tours over them directly. The price is more than fair for what you get. Teleférico naranja, as well...

Suited my budget solo backpacker needs perfectly. Gorgeous building, great kitchen (one on each floor! Good for those on a budget, Sucre restaurants aren't cheap), good wifi, friendly and attentive staff, hot shower. The windows in the rooms are the only minor downside, they're odd in that they don't close entirely - not great in a city that is cold at night, with nois...

Room was mostly clean except duvet covers. Rooms very cold and shower only luke warm. Mattresses very thin but turned over was ok and plenty of blankets on bed. Breakfast basic but good. Bread, butter, jam, cereal yoghurt teas and coffee. Wifi intermittent but when working is ok. Only works in communal areas. We did the mining tour through the hotel. Good fun but no re...

We strongly recommend this hostel. As mentioned in the previous comments, it's owned by a local family which are quite welcoming. Some advices mentioned that the hostel it's cold. Uyuni is cold in general, in every rooms thick wool blankets and a heater are provided. We picked a room without window and we really slept well, it was even too hot for my girlfriend. ...

standard hotel, very clean, nice breakfast with real orange juice and above average (for bolivia) coffee. free wifi, even in our second-floor bedroom but not very fast. local tours available, 3-hour horseriding took a long time to get to but was good value. the biggest issue was that we booked online through agoda requesting an early check-in as we were arriving by th...

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was cozy, clean and good value for your money. The property is very secure and maintained. Keep in mind this is a hostel so the facilities are basic. The area is said to be not the greatest but we had no issue. La Paz is an “interesting” city so I think it’s the same everywhere you go. The staff will help you with anything you need. Th...

The only good thing in this hostel is the staff which is really helpful, nice and really lovely. Moreover, it's really closed from the bus station (less than 10min walk). Apart from that, I don't know where to begin...there aren't plugs in the dormitories (or just two for 8 people and it's not working well), so you have to go in the common areas to refill your phone o...

Hotel shared room dorm situation was just me, for two nights, midweek, in what appeared to be a converted conference room, into what could sleep 16-18 people and I was alone, with shoddy wifi. Front desk staff had difficulty answering questions about when very well known places are open, or even where they are located, e.g., currency exchange.

I was a bit afraid when I read the reviews but this hostel is really good! Confortable beds, hot showers, wifi doesn't work sometimes and is bad in rooms but it's quite good in the receptiob. Good breakfast. Quiet location, not central but just 5 minutes walk from the main street

Perla Negra is located very close to the Bus Terminal atop a hill. The rooms are kinda small and the Internet is ok. Breakfast is basic and the rooftop restaurant is gorgeous with fabulous view of La Paz. It is cheaper to pay in Bolivianos direct (90 a night).... Front desk staff speaks limited English but very helpful set of young guys. The rooms can be cold at ...

Staff speaks english, and are friendly. Comfortable beds, clean enough place. Simple breakfast provided. Shared bathroom for both genders with cubicles unable to lock so main door to the bathroom is usually locked when someone showers. Lots of shops, eating places and tour agencies around. It can get quite noisy at night along the street.

For the price paid this was a good spot to stay in Copacabana. The room and facilities were clean and everything in Copacabana is within walking distance. Breakfast was typical Bolivian bread and butter but at least the bread was heated up which was a nice change. Only cons were the communal bathroom is outside. Showering in the morning is cold and umcomfortable with...

We booked a double room but ended up a huge apartment. Best value for money place we stayed in in all of South America. Not all staff spoke english but we managed to get by only speaking a few phrases in Spanish. Really fast wifi - we spent a day watching movies online. Not a lot to do in Potosi itself but if I ever went back I would definitely stay here again, it wa...

This hotel was a bit more expensive than other options in the area but we felt it was worth it. There was a much more peaceful vibe here but there was definitely an older crowd. It was very comfortable and the food was good. The internet was sometimes slow but it got the job done. You can't beat the views here.

We loved the way the hotel was right down town where we could find whatever we needed. It was very clean and the people were extremely helpful and kind except for one guy who was trying to help us park in this pathetic little spot. The front desk people were extremely kind and helpful. The pool was clean and warm. We always had hot water for showers and enjoyed our...

A great hotel in the heart of a sometimes crazy city. The staff were very helpful and even allowed me to check into my room at 5am (check-in time was 2pm). There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel and it is easy to organize tours in the area around the hotel.

We had a very short stay in the hotel however it made us feel really relaxed to see a clean and big apartment hotel. The location was right in the center of the city. The hotel provided a city tour but the driver could not speak english. Despite that he brought us to the major touristic places and for a good price as we were traveling as a group anyway. The staff were ...

Oruro is not a touristic places therefore lacks accommodation options. Eden is probably the only acceptable hotel for people from developing world with decent rooms, cleanliness, amenities.. however, as everywhere in bolivia, the wifi is extremely slow..

The hotel was quite nice and the stafg were very diligent and polite but this was to be expected from a hotel of this calibre. The dinner was excellent and reasonably priced however Mrs. Kelly was somewhat irked that we were not informed of the kitchen closing and so we had to go without dessert. Myself I was most disappointed with the gym facilities and Jacuzzi as...

Hotel is nicely outfitted and the staff are very friendly and accommodating (especially Lisa). Nice interior courtyard space and the breakfast is made fresh with omelettes and a variety of local fruits. Rooms are modest but quite chic, and there are lots of outlets to recharge your mobiles. The beds are good and the shower is very welcome after a long day of travellin...
