Best hotels & accommodations in Madagascar

We were there for our honeymoon. Overall the hotel is beautiful, the room are clean (except of some bugs, insects and snakes) BUT The hotel’s location is really bad - nothing around to go and visit and see. No other restaurants - and if you want to take a “tuk-tuk” the hotel charges you 3 times the real price! The beach is un-inviting and dirty and so is the pool. The...

The Louvre staff met our every need. The air cond itioning allowed good sleep. We unwound from travel in the pool to stretch our limbs, super relaxing at the end of the day. The doorman provided great assistance with the hawkers of goods outside the door; the front desk desk and our cab driver — whom we met at the airport upon arrival and telephoned subsequently for...

The staff were very good. The cabins were top notch, food very good and they have a dive center. The hotel is now under the management of Constance hotel group and has lost some of its personality and identity since last we were there. We were the first Americans to ever visit Tsara when it was first opened. We had our names engraved into the bar this last trip being t...

Hotel is Good Location in City Center Hotel Near Local Market and Railway Station Staff very nice good Information and can speak English Wifi OK room is same African Styles Restaurant very near Hotel Night time very Dark but No Phoblem for walking

The lodge is located around an absolutly idyllic bay. Within the bay, you can watch a variety of stunning corals and fish. Snorkeling and kayaking equipment can be used for free. Food is fresh from the sea and fantastic. Severeal pet lemurs walk around the location, being a great company. The owners usually go to the city centre once a day, and take you for free. They...

I couldn’t have been happier with my stay here. It’s an old traditional building but the rooms have been tastefully decorated, the beds are very comfortable and despite being very close to the action in the city the rooms are quiet. The best food I tasted was in their restaurant and all the staff, particularly the manager could not have been more helpful.

I spent a week and a half here and it was very relaxing. If I wanted to do something - rent a scooter, go diving, trip to the national park - the owner was very helpful in arranging these. If I wanted to just take it easy, I could relax by the pool or take the short walk to the beach.

The staff, view, prices were all great but I also learned that I'm not one for living in a hut with no wifi in rooms and no tv. It's too quiet and au naturel for me. The isolation creeped me out. The ocean at high tide made blasting wave noises against the wall by my hut and kept me up. Some ppl like this but think if you are one of those people...The set dinner is ove...

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and exceeded the standards I came to expect in Madagascar. The staff was relatively friendly and helpful, and they let me store luggage between two different stays at the hotel. The food was decent although much of the menu was prepared off-site. The location was good near the government buildings on a hill above the fray of Tana.

I arrived at around 2:45PM and departed at around 5:00AM the following morning. Just wanted somewhere to sleep near the airport. I found the place easily, check in was simple, the room was basic but the bed comfortable enough. No complaints really. Some things to note: The alley way to access the hotel is quite small and I'm not sure I would feel comfortable accessing...

The location is nice in rich and safe area so you maybe dont get in troubles. To the market, 5mins by walking. From airport, 30mins u need if the traffic is good. The staff are super nice. And there are parties now and then. Just the bath room is mixed and the curtain is near to transparent that I m not sure I use to it. Now matter where u are, outside or indoo...

The property is a long standing hotel converted from 4 story townhouse. It is located up the hill from Lake Anosy, downhill from government/banking offices, across the busy little street is the President's palace gardens. There is a ShopRite, downhill going right for a couple block then cross street to the supermarket. The hotel room are on the top level. There is a pl...

The hotel is well located, within walking distance of some of Tana’s most exclusive hotels and restaurants, as well as the L’Avenue de Independence. The hotel is spread over two or three buildings and a wide range of room types is available. The restaurant is good. I stayed in a comfort double room, and although far from spacious, it is comfortable and quiet. In Ta...

This hotel is about 8 Kilometre from Ankorondrano Airport in Madagascar. The drive will take between 20 minutes and 1 hour along very narrow busy streets that were congested but clean. The hotel is a bit dated but the staff were very friendly and the rooms were large with a very nice big corner bath although the fittings were old. There was a big new flat screen TV in ...

stay was very very good. we stayed here thrice in a week and had an amazing time. we used this uohel for its central location. the rest of tana isnt very safe but this area was very safe and hotel provided security. would definately recomend this hotel for anyone going to tana

There is potential to be a really good hotel. They kept running out of water, a pool that made the kids sick, had power drop outs constantly and seemed to attract more mosquitos than anywhere else on the island.... If you have young kids.... Move on If you don't ........ It's probably good value

I stayed in the hotel for seven days and this was my first time to Madagascar .This was a clean and comfortable hotel located at the heart of Tana city. The staff was friendly and helpful. It can easily assess to anywhere. However, the breakfast was pathetic and the restaurant food was also not very good. Would recommend if you just staying for a few days.

The hotel is primitive with no internet, in-room hot water, air con, and electricity for only a few hours a day, but if you are looking to get away and enjoy a beautiful jungle beach this is a great place to go. The rooms were in generally good condition, the food was good, and the staff were very helpful.

Formerly the hotel Emeraude, this one run by the same people who own the Le Ribaudiere iin Tanarive. Nice decor throughout and in rooms. Comfortable sleeping conditions, no street noise. Good AC, except doesn't run on the generator (which hotel uses when ower cuts out). A couple of easy blocks walk from the center, location good. Next door to a good bar restaurant, t...

Beautiful garden and house. Rooms are lovely. The staff are wonderful. Hard working who never seem to have a break. Always smiling and cook the most fantastic food. Guests all sit together to eat (if you choose) which is a great way to meet people, get travelling tips and compare Madagascar stories. Linette, the manager, is friendly, kind and great company. We rocked up about 36 hrs before cyclone Ava and had paid no attention to news or alt media as busy planing a wedding. Ava did a bit of deroofing and we lost water, air con, and light and flush power as wel as pool access obviously but generator helped and staff were excellent throughout, boss understandably deeply perturbed and coco the resident Maki just didnt care. ...

We took a luxury room for a night. The hotel is located in the city center and has good staff (Though you will need to keep following up in some cases with the staff in case you need something). They have a good restaurant, though it had only French (for the European dishes) in the menu and the staff couldn't explain the dishes in English. Overall, a good stay for a ni...
