Wonderful As Always”
We love Dolphin Bay - it's such a child friendly place with delicious food, great location (we went to the caves this time and had such a fantastic time exploring!) and huge rooms with tons of space. This was our second time, but certainly not our last!!!
Lovely resort ”
We booked this as a last minute getaway whilst In Bangkok for 3 weeks. I was pleasantly Surprised at how nice it was Considering other 3 star resorts weren’t as nice. It’s really catered to families but we had older children and they loved it just as much. The spa facilities are a real treat! I would definitely recommend this resort.
5 stars for family and 1 star for romantic get away ;)”
This place is the best place I’ve seen for children. There is so much for them to do and there is plenty of space to do it. And we drove and took days trips to the national parks for some adult stimulation. The food was excellent. It was loud with kids though - it’s not a place for some quiet time if you were traveling alone or as a couple. I don’t think that’s an issue for the hotel though. This place is almost always packed and there is a reason. I was 100% happy with this hotel, the location and things to do. Side note that there are often jelly fish in the ocean, but we didn’t go for ocean swimming anyways. Some playtime in the same with a little ocean water was good enough.
Great for families”
We stayed here for a few days and were really impressed with the facilities for young children. The slide was great and its clearly trying to cater for children - which suits us!
Perfect hotel for young children”
If you have young children, this is the place for you! The hotel has a mini playground, including a seesaw and swings (even toddler swings, which are virtually impossible to find in Thailand). It has a kids' pool and a large slide into the pool. They have a kids' menu at the restaurant and the food was good value and tasty. The beach on the other side of the road was very quiet and beautiful. We hired bikes one afternoon and took the cycle path up the coast road which was lovely. The only thing I would change would be the balconies, as there are large gaps between the balcony railings so I could never relax when my 3 year-old was playing out on the balcony. We will definitely be back!
The hotel has lots of facilities for kids, good location, and friendly staffs. Food (breakfast and dinner) were great. We will definitely visit this hotel again.
Perfect resort for kids”
Although we were not there with kids, we noticed that the resort would be perfect for them: swimming pools (including a shallow one), play ground, kids room, kids-friendly staff and lots of activities around.
Exquisite resort with a family focus, but accommodating to all guests. Suited for people who are wanting to chill out, and have a fun and relaxing stay. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious with A/C, TV and fridge, and balcony. Appliances were available for borrowing from the service desk. Supply of bathroom towels, and bigger beach/pool towels as well. Food and drinks in the Cafe Aroma are good quality and there other establishments nearby offering a variety of cuisine. Laundry service. Massage spa. Bike and motorbike hire. Staff at front desk can help arrange tours and/or transportation to local attractions.
Nice place for families”
Everything is set up for families, with a kids' toy/movie room, a playground, kids' pool and slide and kids' menu. It was easy to look after a toddler and quiet after 8pm as everyone has kids. Short walk down the beach to more restaurants and bars.
Great place for families”
Very nice place, very family oriented. Great service, great location, lots of kids running around, feels safe. The restaurant offers wide variety of food and not crazy expensive. Breakfast was just ok, the organic egg station even though a plus, the eggs were cooked terribly, I'm not a fan of half cooked eggs with chunks of onions swimming in it, so that definitely needs improvement. The other thing I hated was 1,000 Baht "key" deposit even though I already paid the full amount in advance.... what is the deposit for exactly?....for a flimsy key with a piece of plastic attached to it? This is not the normal practice in Thailand, we have stayed in numerous hotels throughout the years and this is only the second time we have been asked for a deposit. I found it rather ridiculous. The hotel is far from being new but it is well-maintained in my opinion. All in all it's a very good hotel location and service wise but don't expect anything over the moon fantastic.
Very nice place for small kids indeed, we leave only 2 hours away, so we will surely be back there. What annoyed us was that on arrival they asked a copy of our credit cards despite booking through Agoda. We refused of course, and were happy to instead leave 1,000 Baht deposit which is the common practice in Thailand.
It's fun for the kids”
As you can see from the other reviews, this is great for the kids. It's also quite close to the National Park and if you have a car, it's great to drive around and just look at the sites. There are very limited dining options though.
Although the Resort was quite empty, the staff did not want to check us in 1/2 hour before. The room was ready but... The AC did not work (30 degrees) and they "fixed" it to 26 degrees only. Since we had access to the adjacent room, we checked, same problem. Make sure if you go there, that the AC is really cooling down.
Fantastic pool where the children are happy to play on the slide. great climbing frame and other activities in the garden. Fantastic staff.
Really great set up for kids”
We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay here. The pool and slide are full of kids playing. I think the resort could perhaps do more activities/games but for a 3 star place it’s pretty good.
Nice place ok for a couple without kids”
This place is definitely catering to families with kids and we were hesitant to book it at first. Didnt regret though, place is nice and ok for a night or two. The aircon in the room was not strong enough to get the room temperature down to 24C. Lighting in the bathroom is not adequate, hard to see anything...
Fantastic location for families with kids”
We loved Dolphin Bay. Our kids loved the pool, playground, and kids room. We loved having everything so accessible - my husband could be with my 4 year old at the pool while I took the 1 year old up for a nap - everything was very close. Food was good, a very enjoyable weekend!!!
Fantastic family/kid-oriented resort”
This is a terrific resort for families with kids. Great pools w/ slide. Grounds including climbing sculpture and room to run, good kids room with kids movies, wonderful buffet breakfast with everything kids like and they will enjoy ordering their own omelet creation, beach has a huge low tide where even small kids can walk out forever. Staff is exceptional. We go back twice a year and have for 4 or 5 years. Alex is now 8 and it's so easy to make friends quickly at this resort.
Ideal with newborn”
We stayed there with our 2 children and newborn, it was a nice way to get out of the city with very convenient facilities for our older children. The food menu is also really great. We will definitely come back.
Faciliities for kids were excellent. The resort itself was clean but not the best beach to swim in. The room was cleaned daily but there was still a smell from the toilet, also the towels and sheets didnt get changed only dusted and folded
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
