Golden Peak Hotel & Suites is a standard hotel, perfect for those travelers who wish to spend most of their time exploring the beautiful city and islands of Cebu. Its location on Corrodo Avenue provides quick access to major venues like the Grand Convention Center, Ayala Center, and Fuente Osmena. Satellite television, room service, and air conditioning are just a few of the amenities offered in each guestroom. The property’s restaurant serves international and local Filipino cuisine for most of the day. To unwind after a tiring day, a relaxing massage therapy is also offered at the spa. The business center has sufficient conference halls and facilities to host most corporate meetings and functions. After a day of consecutive meetings, retire to the bar with a few mixed drinks and cocktails. The gift shop, laundry services, parking, and Internet usage are also included amenities. large room for the family”
I was travelling with my family - two adults and two children. The initial room with 2 beds was upgraded to room with 3 beds for an additional cost of 700 pesos. The complimentary breakfast buffet came in handy since there's no decent food shops nearby especially at the early morning. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
Value for Money!”
For what you pay, (I think I paid 25USD a night) This hotel is amazing. I stayed here three separate times during my holidays. One room the t.v. wasn't really working all that well, elevators are slow and crowded, check in and out may be a little slow, but small inconveniences for the amazing price. Comes with an ok breakfast and is walking distance to Ayala. You will find better hotels and closer to Ayala, but you won't find a better deal than golden peaks!
Nice Hotel ”
Golden Peak Hotel is located near the center of cebu city. It's best attraction is its location which is only a walking distance from Ayala Center Cebu. The hotel's staffs were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel room is cozy yet looks a little old but it's okay. It has an overlooking of the cebu city center. It was very spacious with nice facilities such as a mini bar and refrigerator.
Nice hotel in Kamputhaw”
i booked a room at the golden peak for the sinulog 2011 festival. the hotel is within walkable distance to the grand parade route, so i just walked to watch the parade. the hotel's location is good--you can walk from the hotel to the ayala complex. there are nice restaurants around the hotel. staff are friendly and respectful. my only quibble is with their inability to give me a late checkout since my flight was at 4pm, but that's understandable. the hotel also doesn't have a gym. overall, it was a nice experience.
We stayed for 2 days only to watch the Sinulog festivities.Very basic hotel. Don't expect too much since this is a budget hotel. Staff was very accommodating and unobtrusive and they catered to our every need. Quick service. I liked the location because it was at the center of where I needed to go. On day 1, I didn't like the food but the next day, food was ok. Internet service very poor at the room where we stayed at ( 9 flr) .I would recommend it to my budget-conscious friends.
Things looked promising apon arrival, nice reception ,helpful bellboy. Then things went downhill.Through the dirty window we had a mountain view but also very loud traffic noise.Mainly motorcycles with very loud exhausts.Inmanaged 2 nights before requesting a room move,I accepted a downgrade to a" superior " from "deluxe" as thing was at quieter side of hotel but had non functioning aircon.Plus after 3 days out of 5 I was shown where you turn on hot water in room by maintenance guys. My main complaint is the breakfast.I can only describe it as dogsick. It was terrible. Just dont waste your money staying there,it might of been a good hotel once, but isn't now.Location wise, well there was an ambush murder of a lady in her car 100m from the hotel on the last night of our stay,so maybe location not so good.....welcome to the Philippines.
The hotel is almost perfect from the staff, room and breakfast. The only problem I got was I asked for a quiet room but there was noise outside the hallway. I enjoyed my stay. I hope there will be discount promos in the future. I will definitely come back!
The room is spacious. It looks old though. Some paints were chipped off. The hotel advertises hot and cold shower but there's no hot shower. The wifi is too weak inside my room. I had to go near the door to get a decent wifi signal. The staffs were accommodating though.
very pleased ”
breakfast was great meals good, but could have done with some vegetable with some hot meals but over all very pleased
Place is good”
Spacious but ac was a bit noisy. Has bath tub but it was not that clean looking
Old, Tired and Over Priced”
The hotel is Old and Tired, I stayed in one of the superior rooms on the front side of the hotel. The price was 1800 pesos. Expensive for what you get. The problem with the Golden Peak is many of the rooms have not been updated for very long time as well as being a good ten minute walk to Ayala Mall along a highway that is congested and polluted most of the time. The staff is friendly and professional. Pick a different hotel if possible.
The hotel reception was organized. The room was old but still clean and well kept. The room was a bit dim. I think they need to improve on their menu for breakfast. Fod choice was limited. But over all I would still recommend this hotel.
Very Disappointed with the Facility and Hotel system!”
Anyway, The Housekeeping Supervisor had help us solve the issue for the meantime. But I think the Hotel policy is already a rotten tomato! Actually, I had several complains - broken wifi router (need to transfer to another room), broken bathroom door knob (its locked! need to wait for the guys to fix it), make up room sign is on but no one make it up for you unless you call them, inconsistency in handling extended bookings, some untrained receptionist! (I came late with my 2-year old daugther carried on my left arm, and a bunch of grocery items in my right only to find out my key card was fucking deactivated!!!!!!fuck the hotel policy!!!!be consistent! I am so tired and can’t enter a room which I had paid in advance!!!) Briefly, a WE HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE for 4 Days and 3 Nights!!!
Very overpriced and outdated”
An attempt at some kind of theme park, comes off more as a multistory carpark with rooms. With some many other choices around Cebu, and the immediate area, I have no idea why anyone would stay here. Prices given on online reservation websites are misleading, actual price was approximately 20% higher.
just simply simple...no more”
well done situated with a poor welcoming and check out ,no safety box in the room,no service water in the room, shower dreeping, carpet in the hall look old ...rooms 2 stars are equivalent or better, need a serious renovation or drop the stars, i been the week b4 in the opposite hotel it was high class ....for a small amount more ....
was interesting but acceptable over all”
on arrival there was no record of my booking and payment from agoda on their systems. the initial thought was this is going to be the worst hotel i have ever stayed. the staff from then on made the stay tolerable they were friendly and courteous. there was no refrigerator in the room and no safe to lock away valuables. this was a concern as i had just arrived from Vietnam where i had items stolen from my room as i was to silly to actually lock them away when i was out of the hotel. i probably wont stay at golden peak again as i visit cebu every year to catch up with family and friends. there are similar value hotels and apartments with in easy walking distance to Ayala center
Not a good place”
No internet at all during my stay. Reception kept promising it would be fixed. Slow check in and check out. Electronic room key kept malfunctioning and I had to go to reception every time to have it reset. No drinking water in room. I would not recommend this hotel.
High building, easy to find ”
I was staying 18th floor and it was great view through morning to night. No high buildings around and I could see the hill view. Also bcuz of hright and building color, it is easy to find from streets. I will stay there again when I come back to Cebu.
Cebu central hotel”
It was an emergency booking just in the lobby of the hotel... since the price on agoda was much better then at the place. The hotel is a bit worn, but relative big rooms. Maybe it was not lucky timing, but it is full of dodgy elements... It is definitely not my dream family hotel. Probably the hotel have saw better times... but it is well over it's "golden peak".
Old but spacious rooms.”
Room was relatively clean but old designs and furnishings. Needs to be renovated. Restaurant staff were not accommodating to requests from guests/needs to follow up your order before being served. Front desk staff were very helpful/accommodating/nice.
