If you cannot speak Chinese, please do not choose here”
Most of staff were kind and polite. Their one of staff "Frank" was very rude, "YELLING" at me. I never had some Yelling staff before. No need to speak Enlish cus I am traveling in other contury, but need to give a little polite if I pay for stay in the hotel.
nice and friendly staffs”
i stayed in this hotel for a couple of days, this hotel used yo be my top list whenever travelling to shanghai. but recently room rate gone up quiye pricey, so i will need to think about it again next if the price is still relatively higher than before.
Nice hotel which is near train station”
Overall was a good stay at Holiday Inn Pudong. The room was comfy and modern design. The staff was friendly. The wifi at lobby is fast. There are a few nice restaurant with good food near the hotel. There is one convenient shop beside the hotel which make it easy if you need to picl up something. The hotel is easily access to public transport which make the traveling much easier and convenient.
Nice hotel but Location”
this hotel is very good hotel. its near to snec hall that for my business trip purpose. its very comfortable room and clean. the breakfast is nice and delicious. the staff are very friendly and helpful. it hard to get a taxi during peak hour.. nearby the hotel have a very good massage center. the hotel lift services a bit slow.
a convenient hotel to stay at”
A centrally located hotel from where I can go to my meetings and dinner appointmets. The staff will go an extra mile to assist you with any enquiries. The hotel is clean, comfortable and cosy enough to stay for more than a couple of nights. The most attractive thing about this hotel is the efficiency of the counter saff.
A very clean tidy hotel”
The receptionist can speak a good English. We had been offered an upgraded room, unfortunately smoking room. During late at night, we could not find foods outside hotel. Finally we had to take it at hotel restaurant that we thought must be expensive. On contrarily, we had a very delicious food, especially "Bak Kut Teh" at a very reasonable price. I personally took double portion of Bak Kut Teh, due to its delicacy.
The hotel check-in staff gave a very good impression from the start. Efficient and professional. They are very eager to help and service level was above another 5-star hotel that I stayed in before in Shanghai. The room was clean with a well organised layout. Bathtub was a bit on the small side, being squarish, but it is still acceptable. The bed was comfy to a fault. Coming to cons, that will be the price of breakfast. At RMB 149, I would say that it's on the high side of things. Other than that, all is good about the hotel. The location is very convenient to reach most places in a jiffy. The convention center is about 10 minutes and RMB 16 away. Metro station is just 4 buildings down so you have an option to take the metro whenever you feel like it.
Holiday Inn Pudong”
Holiday Inn Pudong is a great value for money. The place is cozy, the people are nice and the room is clean. Breakfast is okay. There is also a good seafood restaurant near the place. It is near Shanghai Expo and is 20 minutes away from the new Shanghai Expo. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Good location, easy access to subway.
Extremely slow checkout
Location is good.”
Location is good and convenient but facilities are a bit old. The restaurant has good food but the service is not well.
efficient and friendly”
the purpose of my visit on this trip to shanghai was business related, so the strong wifi signal in my hotel room was especially appreciated. overall the staff was helpful and attentive, and my room was clean and neat. all typical holiday inn amenities were available, and housekeeping was friendly on the phone when i had extra requests (additional pillow). i would stay here again on my next business trip.
Great hotel but far from sighseeing attractions”
Internet service and wifi service are not free.. The location of the hotel is far from the sightseeing attractions like The Bund .. There's nothing to do at night, good thing there's a coffee shop nearby.. The buffet breakfast was great.. Great food choices . Wifi service at the lounge is free but not in your hotel room.. Staff were accomodating and can speak english ..
Good value hotel”
The staff from the concierge, to the front desk to the restaurant were efficient and friendly. Although their ability to communicate in english was quite limited. I think they should make sure that the front line staff are capable of carrying on a conversation in english with the guests. The room was comfortable and I love the bathroom. The food selection for breakfast was good. I would come back to the HI Pudong.
Great hotel in good location”
Great location, great room and good sevice. Easily accessible to major areas. Near to my working place and my favourite haunts. Easy to find my way around and quiet enough at night for a relaxing walk.
Return to stay a second time!”
i came back to stay a second time. it is near luziajui but getting there on foot is not realistic. the subway nearby and the cheap taxis make up for it. nice and brightly lid lobby and good customer services at the counter. the room is small but very cosy. there is access to the swimming pool and the gym. the breakfast is reasonable for its price.
Comfortable and Clean”
i liked this hotel. spacious and clean. no problems with street noise as i had requested for a high floor. shower / bath was open concept - large tub, clear windows looking into the sleeping area with adjustable blinds. laundry was expensive compared to other places - cny 55 for a shirt before service charges. there is a convenience store just outside the hotel which was handy for small basic items.
This is a well known global brand hotel on the Pudong side of the river in Shanghai. It is a perfectly decent, new, clean hotel. There is a good value Brazilian restaurant in the building. Breakfast is the usual expensive option, but there is a Starbuck in the office lobby next door which has the usual dependable if not great value coffe and a bun. There is not a lot around here. But if you head out to the main road, right out th door to the main street, then go right again, there are a couple of value chinese resataurants and then a slightly set back bunch of bars – most of these are out to grab your dollar, but thy will give you beer for it, so it’s a difficult but fair trade.
Great stay but beware the hidden costs”
Generally I had a good stay for six (6) at the Holiday Inn, Pudong Shanghai. It is a good hotel and the facilities are great. However I found the following shortcomings: a. I note that the Hotel charges for the pick-up from the airport to the hotel was far in excess and unreasonable. On the way back I took a meter cab. I actually felt a bit cheated. I don't understand why the hotel could not provide pick-up for their guest like all other good hotels. b. I found the services at the reception rather unsatisfactory. They were always in a rush and rather unfriendly. c. I also found that the reception was rather eager to sell me their "previlege club" membeship per day for their guests. Their facilities for the breakfast and laundary and shuttle services should all be part of servcies and certainly not at a additional price . I again felt cheated because I had to incur an additional sum for five (5) days on these privilege club facilities although I did not use any of them! This is despite having fully paid for the hotel! The hotel seems to have an ingenious way of getting guest to make payment to them even though the hotel stays are all paid! d. The costs of the food is rather expensive at the hotel restaurant. It cost me a whopping for a Hainesse Chicken rice for myself compared to the sum I spent outside at the shop for five (5) pax!!
Convenient location for business and everything”
Spacious room and excellent services. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only half an hour to Pudong Airport by Taxi + Maglev. Other than siting right at the Pudong business center, MRT stations are only a few minutes walk from hotel. It takes you to the another business center at Nanjing Road, (where you could find a top shopping mall - square 66) without traying in traffic jam. Another top shopping mall (Square 69) locates just a brisk walk from hotel.
