Good hotel, great staff who made up for short falls, didn’t understand when I booked that the room had no service for the four days so had rubbish in my bin the whole time had to get milk daily ect, bed not made, however the restaurant was above standard and there staff were excellent which made up for this.
Highly recommend Hotel Chino. Not only is it within walking distance to the Princess Alexandra hospital and a small shopping village (even for small children), Parking and wifi is included. Southbank is only a short drive, or leisurely stroll for the more adventurous. Thee is minimal road noise even during peak times.. Staff were amazing
Value for money, clean, a little ways from town and good eateries”
Stayed a night here with my adolescent son. Price was really reasonable - got in around 10 pm and though there wasn't a receptionist, the instructions left on how to get in was pretty straightforward. Room was small but clean and adequate for our needs. If you're looking for a place that's walking distance to the buzz of the city and decent range of eateries, this is probably a little far out at the fringes of the CBD. All in, good for what I needed but I'm glad I had a rental car that gave me the flexibility.
Good place to stay in Brisbane”
This is a nice place to stay. Very convenient, near bus stops and train stations. Food places at the other end of the road and grocery as well. The apartment arrangement is very nice, cozy and clean; complete with washing machine and dryer; a small kitchen for quick heating and cooking for late night snacks and early morning breakfast. The balcony has a very refreshing view of the surroundings. Having a living room with TV is a plus, where the family bonded, played and laughed and watched together. If not for the trips we have arranged, we would appreciate just staying indoors. Thanks to the reception lady who was helpful to arrange for us to have an early check-in at 12.30pm. Special thanks to Irene Claire Mondejar and Karen Garrido who assisted us during our stay. Keep it up and take care. Everyone were very nice and always smiling, that's a very welcoming feeling. Will definitely choose Hotel Chino on our next Brisbane visit.
Fantastic for what i needed it for”
I stayed at the Chino hotel on the weekend due to going to a festival in Brisbane on the saturday night. Had a great stay at the hotel, with the staff been very friendly and couldnt help more then what they did. The rooms were of a good size, with a great sized bathroom. I loved the fact each room had a balcony - so those that smoked could smoke there instead of having to leave there rooms and going down to ground floor to smoke.
Great value, clean”
I try to stay here most time when I am in Brisbane for business. The location in great if you need to visit clients North, South, East or West as you can access main Roads heading this way very easily. This location also suits the weekend party person as you can walk to the city or South Bank where there are a number of bars, clubs and restaurants. Located only hundreds meters away from the Gabba sports stadium this is another popular place to stay. The staff are friendly and stay on site which is great for security. The rooms are large, There is a hotel across the road that offers a great menu but if your a fast food person there is plenty to choose from all in walking distance. Over all great location, great people, great value for money.
Great location for business ”
I often stay at the Chino Hotel when I am in Brisbane for business. The location suits me as it is close to West End/South Brisbane where our factory is located. It's location is great if you are on the road visiting clients whilst you are in Brisbane, you are close to main roads that feed traffic North, South, East and West. The staff are friendly, the rooms are a good size I like the fact that every room has a good size desk in it so you can work from the room as well. This Hotel is only a few years old so it's facilities are still quite modern. Price wise I have seen the price rise over this time, when it first opened it was very good value, it now is ok value sometimes I do shop around.
Great for a over night business stay”
I have often stayed at this hotel, it is only a few years old so the rooms are quit modern. Safe car park, large comfy bed and some rooms have a small kitchen which is great if you are in town for a few days on business. The location for me is great, you can easily access roads North, South, East and West. I think it is still good value for money even though it has gone up over the years
Very nice and relaxing”
I always try to stay here when I am in Brisbane for business. From this location it is easy to cover north, south, east and western suburbs, there is a safe car park on site. The rooms are large with a small kitchen which is great if you are here for a few days. Across the road is a hotel that has a great menu and is very popular with the locals. If fast food is more your thing, well you will find it hard to choose one as they are all within walking distance. If your in town for a sporting event at the Gabba, this is perfect location. The managers are on site and really try to make you feel at home, I find this motel great value for money.
Great for the business traveler ”
I often stay at this hotel when I go to Brisbane for work. It is located close to the city so there is great options for public transport, if you have a vehicle there is a car park at the hotel that is FREE. The rooms and bathrooms are large, the Deluxe come with a kitchenette which is handy if you are in town for a number of nights. Good size desk if you're on business, staff are friendly and the breakfast is alright value.
1 night stay”
Check when you book the bathroom configuration. I booked a 1bed apartment which in the photo had a shower/bath which was great as I needed it to bath my 1 year old. Upon arrival we had been assigned a total different room with a ‘wet room’ style bathroom. Very disappointed and not what I had expected I phoned reception and they gave me ONE complimentary breakfast voucher. A tad misleading when looking at the pictures however not the end of the world.
Chino fulfilled all our needs and the restaurant staff were delightful
Fantastic place to stay. All staff were very welcoming and rooms were clean and very good value for money. I would definitely recommend to Friends and family. Chef made a great breakfast burger.
Very kind and accommodating staff.
Hotel Chino has secure parking and has good security to rooms. The room in which I stayed was large and well set out. I stayed in a one bedroom unit. It had everything thing needed for a long stay and is located close to major public transport stations, as well as close to medical & general food outlets and shopping.
we love this place”
this was our second stay at Hotel Chino . it is very reasonably priced for a 1 bedroom apartment ,the hotel staff are all lovely but what we love the most is the food in the restaurant . Alex the Chef is brilliant , we have eaten in the onsite restaurant a few times & every time have had a meal that is just perfect . if Alex has time he will even come out & have a chat & will do what he can to give you the best dining experience . in the room the beds are comfy & the free wifi is great - we have never had a problem with it ( unlike other places we have stayed in ) free secured basement parking too . we will definitely be back
Great staff. Awesome little hotel”
Fantastic location to the Gabba. Would stay again even if I wasn't going to the stadium. The only issue is the sensitivity of the fire alarms. No toaster because of the sensitivity. Had to get the restaurant downstairs to toast our bread. A little embarrassing. Other than that a gem of a hotel.
Good for hospital purposes. Nice modern room. Never tried the restaurant was a little pricey. Nice staff but a little cliche and cold with " Have a lovely day" quotes etc... everything is by the book and i felt a little paranoid seemed like manager watching me through the office window. A bit weird.

a professional, timely, quality service coupled with the two things most hotels don't offer anymore: warmth and care. From the first visit to reception staff (special recommendation to the amazing Maria) to my first entry into the garage where a kitchen member just happened to be who without any hesitation gave me advice, support and guidance on the layout of the garage which made parking with a disabled passenger so much easier for my passenger from then-on to get in and out, a purely by-chance chat with a couple of the cleaners (amazing, professional and smart folk who were gracious and humble) to the weekend receptionist who went out of her way to ensure I had the linen I requested. Thank you Chino, I hope to get another opportunity to stay with you! Anonymous
a little Gem”
Great value accommodation with ample space and every luxury you need for a self contained stay. Off of the main roads so very little road noise. Staff were friendly and engaging and the restaurant provided great food at a reasonable price also. No breakfast on weekends but there are plenty of other nice restaurants within close walking distance. 17 minutes from the airport using the tunnel. will be using this one for future stays in Brisbane
