Nice hotel in padang city”
We booked 2 room with connecting door, big room, nice and big pool with view beach, we can also playing in the beach too, big space restaurant for breakfast. In front of hotel there are local restaurant.
Amazing hotel, close to town beach and great rooms”
We needed to stay in Padang for an overnight airport stop. There are very few hotels close to the airport, and this is the closest i could find online. It is still a fair distance, but it was worth it, after all the rough travel we had done, this hotel felt like luxury. Big comfy bed, large room, tv, and a BATH!!!!The resort is well maintained and the swimming pool large. I would stay here again.
Great access to beach ...in danger”
This hotel is a bit out of town, but makes up for that by bring right on the beach, as its name indicates, and being very well-placed for sunsets on padang beach and access to many seafood venues along the very long beach strip ...this area is being upgraded, with pavements and facilities. Still a bit messy but on the way. A big problem for this hotel is that a road on pylons is being built between it and the beach...the access to things close by should be the same, but the view from the hotel and pool itself is going to be a problem, it seems
Construction of an expressway to the airport spoils the beachfront”
Despite the good facilities and I'd only recommend this for business or those who don't like the beach. The pool is good but construction of the new expressway to the airport spoils the view. The hotel could work a bit on attentiveness of staff (looking to see if anyone is trying to get their attention) but great value for money.
Jaded facilities not worth the money”
Private-ish beach but nothing special with lots of rubbish. Rooms and facilities are jaded, wobbly tap and door. Surprised to see decent shower water pressure and hot water working well. Good and cold air con. Free Breakfast has some local selections but lacking international ones. Location is ok, 100k ($10) official taxi from airport. 65k Grab taxi from hotel to airport. It's a basic hotel worth max $50 per night.
I was booking mountain view room then realized, it just a gimmick. This city surrounded by mountain, so when I open room curtain I saw busy street, housing area, then mountain in far far away distance. The beach is not really private beach, people could easily access it for free. The lobby has funny odor, I don't like it. One thing for sure, their staff is super helpful :)
Run down Hotel”
External Hotel is presentable with big lobby but no many sitting area available. Only a small far corner area available. Lift is very small and it is smelly. Room carpet is filthy dirty and smelly. Air cond is noisy so have to turn off. Sink water is leaking so need to turn off below the sink. Lighting in the room is dim and inside the boiling water flask is dirty, drinking cup is not clean and inside is brown in color. Breakfast at the Mentawai restaurant the food is cold and not close properly. Even fruits are not fresh. Really disappointed as this was my first time to padang.
Very Good Hotel and value for money. The Building look not that good but inside of the hotel look very impressive. The standard room that I had stayed is very spacious. The only things is that the front office lady don look friendly and she reluctant to check the computer for which I had booked the Hotel, until I ask her.
Old hotel ”
I wouldn't mind if the hotel is clean even if it is an old hotel. However, the room I was in wasn't even vacuumed (proof of nail clippings all over the bedroom carpet). The wifi is inexistent and water did not even come out from the shower head! This hotel obviously needs a makeover and proper maintenance. I did not get what I paid for. Not my money's worth. I feel I would get a better stay and value for money at other 3-star hotels nearby.
Hotel need better maintenance”
This hotel lacks maintenance and the view of the beach is not very pretty as the beach is quite dirty. The pool is also open to the public (for a fee) and therefore when I was staying at the hotel, there were a group of children aged between 7-10 years old swimming, screaming and shouting at the pool. The hotel also needs to upgrade the wifi as it was painfully slow and I could not log in for many times.
Good value for money at coast line”
I spent one day only over the weekend of a business trip and found a nicly renovated hotel, some rooms might need some work after esrthquake 2009. I wanted to hear waves and see sunset, dining out. All perfect.
Nice hotel with great views”
This is a nice hotel with the kind of furnishings you expect from a luxury hotel. The view is great, out over the ocean and it has a nice swimming pool right next to the beach. There were two disappointments. The bed was very nice but too soft. We stayed in two different rooms with king beds, and in both the beds were too soft. They should get new, firmer beds. Secondly the day we left the water in the shower was not hot, just luke warm. Still, I would recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Everything is good except food. Cheaper by Agoda.”
1. No padang food on meal only as snack, same thing every day for 3 days. 2. Why dont have towel at swimming pool 3. We love to hae breakfast by the swimming pool, but the place is only for smokers. Should have section outdoor for non smoker too, ee cone with young children! 4. Having some of the kitchen/breakfast staffs getting food and eating there too after 10am is kind of weird to me.
The only hotel in Padang that is on the beach. Okay, the beach is in a populated area and there is some trash tossed on the ground, but the sea water is clean enough. And the hotel has an olympic-sized pool for real swimmers, but the only time you can do laps is early morning, or lunch, or after sunset, when the hotel guests are not splashing the in the water. Also, hotel offers good breakfast buffet!
Friendly/efficient staff, clean room, fast interne”
I was comfortable, well taken cared of. Pangeran Beach Hotel is the favorite hotel among Indonesians. I was told that it was the only hotel which survived the 2009 earthquake, hence I feel safe being there. It is also near the University where my business was.
Great to be back at Pangeran...”
We were given a complementary room upgrade, because there was a delay with checking in to our originally allocated room. The staff were very good so it is 10 out of 10 for customer service. The breakfast selection was very inciting and I would recommend trying the local favorites. In the summer it does get busy with conferences, but this is the same with most 4/5 star hotels in Padang.
Great Hotel with various food during breakfast.”
It was nice and incredible stay in Hotel Pangeran. No matter this is seems to be old Hotel but the maintenance of rooms seems become attention by Management. I like Friendly impression from reception's staff (when I request early check in). During breakfast it was also full of Padang's food (various and delicious).
Value for money & good Location”
Very worth for your money. I stayed a night for business and chose King deluxe sea view suite. I am very satisfied with the service, very spacious room sizes, cot and pillows were very comfortable and the whole room is very comfortable and the whole room is very clean. A large selection of breakfast and a relatively wide space to accommodate many guests. For sure, I'll stay here in the future.
