    Shabby”

The hotel was run down and shabby. The hotel staff does not speak English and international calls are not possible. The neighborhood was safe but not convenient and a 45 min drive to Pudong Airport.

    There are better choices”

The bedroom and bathroom are big. The rooms are satisfactory, but note that the building is quite old. It is very near a train station which makes it quite convenient for travelling. But rooms are just above a fruit market and it can get very noisy. The receptionists and staff are NOT fluent in english. It can be difficult to get a taxi to nearby places like the Bund and Nanjing Road. The Wifi is only available at the lobby.

    Not as advertised”

Photos in the listing is totally different from the actual place. I requested for early check-in and understand it’s subjected to availability. But upon arrival, staff was very rude. Requested for a non-smoking room but there were people smoking right outside our room door! Room was not cleaned properly daily. I will not go back there. Very disappointing.

    Good location for the price”

The hotel is in a great location as its basically 1 min walk away from the subway. The room was ok and the value was good for Shanghai hotel prices. The hotel staff was bit rude though, could use more training on dealing with customers.

near to MRT station, clean and value for money

It's good for us because we come for business trip. The food is moderate and we can look for other choices just opposite the hotel. It takes 5 minutes walk to the MRT station. But the staffs are unfriendly, maybe it's the language barrier even we have tried to communicate in Mandarin with them. Overall, it's not bad.

    Good hotel near Shanghai expo”

    Location, location and location

If you are looking for a hotel which is near the Shanghai Expo and Convention Center, I would recommend this hotel. Its located near the subway station South Xizhang Station, and from there its only one station to Chinese Art Museum (where the Expo is). Staff was quite friendly too, although their English is limited. Breakfast is also okay, but the food is more chinese than western style. Rooms are quite clean and nice, but during night it can be noisy (you hear alot from outside and nearby rooms). So its definitely not a place to relax. If not for the location, I would never choose this hotel again.

Location + Service = Superior Cost Efficiency”

    Location, service and price

What's good: The location is superior, the tube station (line 4 and line 8) is merely 50 metres aways from the site, whereby you can get to most of the major tourists' attraction within 5 tube stations; the staff were professional at both the reception area and room service department, they proactively expedited the check-in process and double checked to ensure everything is nice and neat before I actually move in. What needs improvement: the overall room interior needs renovation (i.e. the furnitures are out-dated (in terms of style) and a bit of worn-out), but given the price and the fact that I was looking for a generally decent, affordable and convenient hotel, I will still strongly recommend this one.

Close to metro, spacious room, rate

My stay was great at this hotel. Rooms are spacious. Staff are very helpful. Ms. Penny at the receiption desk speaks English and she is a very helpful lady. Though the hotel has no facilities such as gym, pool or spa, but it's nice and quite, and most of the services are located near by. Metro station is only 2 min walk away. Commuting to expo centers by metro is easy. There is a fruit and vegitable shop near the hotel. A supermarket is just across the road. The area is not very crowded.

Perfect for Business Travel to Shanghai ”

2 Mins Walking from Metro Station Line 8, Close to EXPO & Grocery Shops accros the street

I would say if you are visiting SHANGHAI for EXHIBITION or BUSINESS MEETINGS, you can definitely stay at this HOTEL. Rooms are very spacious with full size windows. Rooms were pretty clean too. I did face issue with Air Conditioning. Hotel is close to Down Town area. It is hardly 20 meter away from Metro Station Line 8 & Line 4. It is at the junction of Line 4 and Line 8, very convenient, and it is not far away from the world expo area. You can take Metro and go to EXPO, S&T (for shopping), Nanjing Road, People Square, etc. Location is perfect. Also 3-4 grocery stores are just across the street. Not all the staff speak English but 1-2 person at Reception will help you for sure. Will Surely recommend to stay.

Location to subway. price is ok and quiet place

Been there twice and find it a good location for me as i take the subway line 8 to the factory. also on weekend, line 8 gets you to people's square and other areas. It is very quite and comfortable for people that don't like to be in crowded areas.

Newly Renovated, Within 3 minutes walk from metro

This hotel is fine, newly renovated. The staff at the reception knew nothing about the transport of the hotel except metro, but the bellboy was very helpful and direct us to the bus stop. Note that some of the room might have no window. There is no wifi in the room, only available in the reception on G/F. It is at the junction of Line 4 and Line 8, very convenient, and it is not far away from the world expo area! There are convenient stores downstairs across the road. There are also food stalls across the road, though they are not delicious.

we stayed at this hotel because of its close approximity to subway station nearby, just 2 minutes walk. you can take subway train line 8 and line 4 at this station. the shanghai expo is just one stop away. we took line 8 to get there. there are plenty of restaurants and convenient stores nearby this hotel within 1 minute walking distance. nanjing road is just 2 stops away on line 8. room is comfy and heater is ok. shanghai can be quite cold even in early to middle of march.

    Amazing location for non-fussy travelers”

    Location, location, location!

Hundred centuries is a basic hotel with basic amenities. It was an overall pleasant stay. A quick breakdown: Pros: Excellent location, Couple min walk from South Xizang Rd station exit 5 (turn left and keep walking after exiting the station), Check-in staff were nice and tried their best to converse in English, Spacious and well equipped rooms, Nice decor and modern bathrooms, Ethernet provided for free cable Internet, Lots of food places nearby, 2 24hr convenience stores across the road, Small stall selling sim card right outside the hotel - like I said, excellent location. Cons: Carpet looks stained (dirty?), hotel has many rooms and can be a maze sometimes, the walls were quite thin and the locals (travelers and cleaning staff alike) tend to talk very loudly in the mornings, lift lobby area smells a little, Wi-Fi only in lobby, room Wi-Fi hit or miss, Cleaning staff came in to clean the room even with "do not disturb" sign. I would come back again.

    Good location, room is average”

    location, service, bathroom

I stayed for business purpose. It was a good location to get to popular places in Shanghai and it was easy to take taxis and give location of the hotel. However, this is probably the best thing about this hotel. The pictures don't necessarily match the hotel rooms and its descriptions. There is not much around the hotel, except it's close to the subway. The rooms are old (trying to look new), and during our stay, we realized the walls are thin enough to hear our next door neighbors. The ceiling was dripping water when raining, and the cleaning service was average, or sometimes a bit below average. The tip is then very important if you want a well-tidied up room. Overall, a 3 star out of 5.

Worse service at breakfast, sorry if you came an hour before closing time at 9:30 am, they will not replenish the food and they will switch off the light even you're not finished eating your food. The staff at the breakfast room were VERY RUDE!
