Service was exceptional”
I could not fault the service! It's almost too good! I felt so special. It was nice because we'd just arrived from a different hotel (on Nusa Lembongan that we got married at in 2015) and didn't feel nearly as special as this hotel made us feel. The buffet was amazing, fresh croissants out of the oven were Devine! The spa was also just fabulous. Went there everyday for the free use of jacuzzi, husband used the sauna. Location is great! Hotel prices aren't cheap, as can be expected. Pools were great! Looks great for kids.
We loved it!”
We stayed in 3 different hotels in Bali in 3 locations. My family loved Intercontinental the most. Not a high rise but horizontally big. Beach front pool and garden, traditional Balinese interior from lobby area to the rooms and every staff was friendly and informative. Definitely, Intercontinental will be our first choice in Bali for our next trip.
Grand resort made for a perfect stay! ”
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by super friendly staff. The room itself is clean and comfortable, but what makes this hotel so grand is the grounds. They have multiple restaurants, bars, pools, and a beautiful pond (where you can feed the ducks and fish if you get fish food from the staff). There's also plenty of lounge chairs for those who just want a nice tan, and beach access to watch the beautiful sunsets, or take a romantic stroll. If you walk a few minutes on the beach it will led you to some of the best seafood restaurants in Bali! The jacuzzi and sauna is very relaxing because there weren't too many guests in there. Another amazing touch is that they have a departing lounge where even after checking out guest may freshen up in the showers before their flight. Oh, and they have an ATM by the lobby which made it super convenient. Con: the breakfast at the sunset restaurant was pretty disappointing (one of the dishes was literally bread with scrambled eggs ..)
well maintained classic hotel”
excellent staff services. the food is wonderful too! very relaxing and will be one hotel that we'll return to.
Exceptional service!! ”
Very quiet in June. Huge well manicured grounds... recommend Third bldg with higher floor. Sunset beach bar has great view of ocean but No Happy hour. Glass of wine 190 rupiah. 20 seafood beach restaurants within 5 min walk. Would stay again but upgrade to club stay . Great add ins and free Cocktails from 5 to 7
Very nice beachfront Resort ”
The resort feels very upscale with lots of attention to detail. Loved the swim up bar and loungers facing ocean. The only negative experience was that I ordered a drink with hopes of watching sunset with said drink. At check in I was never asked if I’d like to put down a “deposit”. This meant I couldn’t charge my drink to the room so getting the drink paid for was a bit of a hassle and somewhat took the fun out of the experience. (The bar is not prepared to take credit card payment)
Having only eaten at Bella Cucina a couple of times and never staying at the actual resort before, we decided to give it a go ! We got a cub room and were not disappointed. From the room to the staff and the food, it was all what a five star resort should be and it has given that to us and more ! Loved it !!
Beautiful Hotel on a Lovely Beach”
Pros :-) Incredible pools with views to the sea Good rooms with every concievable amenity Lovely, helpful, friendly hotel staff Beautifully landscaped grounds with lakes Close to the airport Incredible buffet breakfast Cons :-( The pillows in our room smelt awful for some reason but they were fine in my son’s room so not sure what had happened to them All in all a great stay, delicious (but pricey) food and amazing buffet breakfast. I would definately stay at The Intercontinental, Bali again and my adult children loved it there!
This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel. Feels like paradise staying here. We were very happy. Nothing to complain about :-)
We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. Thanks to the reviews we selected to stay here. The only downside was the breakfast situation. The listing says breakfast included, but it’s not, only if you select to purchase breakfast. They need to fix this on the listing, b/c I was upset when it was explained to me. When I offered to pay the price online, I wasn’t that amount, instead a quote of $40 per person, per day. I declined it. Instead I enjoyed the ocean breeze cafe in the front of the resort, they served delicious breakfast and cost less then $10 per person. We really enjoyed our stay here. The hospitality was the best, the food was delicious from the pool to the cafe. Complimentary yoga every morning. The grounds are gorgeous. It’s the best beach resort. The hotel is next to the four seasons, but much better then the four seasons, since this resort has the ocean front, beach access. Jimbaran is the best beach, I stayed on other sides of the island and this is the best beach. There’s also dining options on the beach you can choose to dine at, they only take cash though. We really loved our stay @ Intercontinental, the price great, what they offered was wonderful, we miss being there with all the wonderful staff and gorgeous views. And the rooms are spacious. Walk-in closets too, you can live here for a week. I look forward to going back :)
The resort was beautiful and clean. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The beach is clean with amazing view. Food in resort was okay in my opinion and more expensive than outside. Overall the stay was good, will come back and recommend to a friend.
Great Experience ”
Exceptional experience by its staff . I was there for my Son’s first birthday as well as a religious ceremony (my Son’s ‘Mundan’- A hair cutting ceremony - Hindu religious) . Intercontinental hotel did an excellent job by arranging all the logistics and it was just fantastic. Hotel has a lot of activities and you don’t need to go out really. You could easily spend a couple of nights within its premises. Don’t forget a great meal at it’s Italian restaurant- outstanding food. And yeah, only thing that did not go well when we booked a day tour can from outside , book it from the hotel concierge and you will be looked after well. Special shout out to the Concierge (Agus) - what hospitality .
Perfect Place to start/end your Bali Adventure!”
Friendliest stuff on our whole journey - the complex is really nice, detailed and very clean. Rooms are a bit old but in good conditions. Spa was a dream come true. Food is not cheap but really worth the money. We would definitely do it again.
Good hotel for traveling with young kids”
I travelled alone with my young son and found the hotel to be safe, kids friendly and has expansive grounds for my son to run around. The children's program Planet Trekkers was interesting enough and my son enjoyed the Balinese dance and the duck feeding segment. We also enjoyed the beachfront area and the swimming pools. The hotel also had a very nice Saturday night buffet dinner special with Balinese dance performance. Service staff were excellent and sensitive to our needs. I will certainly return to InterContinental Bali soon with the rest of the family.
Great family getaway”
It was a good stay. However, new hotels with slightly different or same price have better room facility and better breakfast buffet. But this hotel beachside location (very clean beach), and the service and brand legacy make it a right for the money purchase.
Was offered a free upgrade to the Sangjara rooms and the room was beautiful! The beddings were amazing and it was great that it had a private beach area where we could just watch the waves and relax. I would come back again!
Comfort and relaxing”
We had a wonderful time in InterContinental Bali Resort. We spent most of the time in the hotel since the hotel provide everything. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the beach. The staff are very friendly including to the kids.
Feels like home. ”
Wonderful and memorable. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and attentive. Thanks to Mr Joni, Front Office Manager for his recommendation on sea sports activities that were suitable for our older kids. He was very warm towards all the guests and visitors and took time to chat with everyone.
pretty much flawtless”
Everyone will definitely enjoy their stay in the hotel. The facilities are excellent as well as staff performance. First class Bali experience. However the 4 persons room might be a little bit too small for 4 persons (two extra bed needed) and the internet speed is a bit limited.
Great hotel, excellent food (for vegetarians also)”
We had an excellent stay at the intercontinental. The staff is friendly and are fluent in English. They understood exactly what vegetarian in India means (we are Indian) and prepared dishes accordingly. Usually we have explain a little bit at other hotels. The duplex rooms were huge with 2 floors, 2tvs, 2 bathrooms....you get the idea.. We loved it. The only downside was that they were a bit rigid on the check out time of 2pm. We had a flight at 9pm so had tried to request as little as a 1 hr extension but they didn't budge, saying the hotel was fully booked and they didn't want to keep new arrivals waiting. Fair enough. However when I offered to pay extra to extend the check out Time the room magically became available for 4 more hours at 150$ extra! We didn't take it of course because clearly we were being played. It left a slight bad taste in our mouth but thankfully happened at the end of our stay and didn't represent the general hospitality we received during the stay. To summarise, a great place to stay and we would think of coming back again.
