Wonderful location - some facility upgrading needed!”
Eco Retreat has so much going for it, primarily its stunning location. I am aware that lack of competition and contribution to NP to keep its eco status no doubt account for the price.and we also had a first class dinner (probably the best lamb shanks in Australia!) and breakfast. The staff were friendly and anxious to please. However, the bathroom presented as grubby (this must be hard to maintain as open air - but seemed shabby) and guests who've travelled a long way for 'glamping' need at least a travel kettle to go with the hospitality tray - and a clean ice box and 'cupboard' . 2WD travellers also need to be advised to enter the park to access the shortest off road route. All this said, we enjoyed our overnight stay because of the staff and the food - and a super comfy bed so hope these comments will be taken as observations rather than total criticisms.

      Impressive Karijini”
Fascinating place. Set within a remote National Park with access to fantastic naturally formed gorges, and numerous bush walks of varying degrees of difficulty. We had a luxury tent with very comfortable bed, adequate blankets, and bathroom-pretty chilly on a cold winter night but we were very grateful for the facility. Also we were very impressed with the restaurant--extraordinary that the food and service were indeed excellent- when all cooked and served under canvas. Altogether we felt it well deserved our rating.

      Location
Be aware they are no longer selling ice as they do not consider it "economical" - pity about customer service.

      Wonderful views, quiet & isolated
Karijini national park is stunning will its colours, sweeping views & clear star filled nights. Eco tent was freezing cold at night however & the full complement of supplied blankets wasnt enough to stay warm. Staff were very friendly & the restaurant in the bush is a surprising option, although we didnt take it up. We self catered

Comfortable bed, quiet and beautiful gorges views
Crazily Romantic, we were just having a great time, just the two of us. We were like young again, heheeee😃We were in love all over again regardless of the insects, weather and far away from the cities life. We both loved it, the big king size bed made the big difference in a tent and in the bush???. That was heaven for me after a long walking around the incredible views of the gorges. Had a swim in all the gorges we've been and the distilled natural water was so unbelievable. Don't know about you but I would love to go back and stay a bit longer👍. Thanks Agoda and

      Good fun”
It was a quiet time of the year, the scenery was special and the location wonderful.
Good but hot. It required a cooling fan for this time of the year. The zipper on the tent was broken and did not close properly which allowed insects in at night. However the good location and experiences far outweighed the negative.

      Nature stay
I would like to recommend this retreat those who agree with the concept of the hotel, "back to the nature." Because there is basically no electricity in the room, and flogs will come into the room. I enjoyed silent night much there. Meals are pretty good, and stuffs are friendly with warm atmosphere. I hope to revisit again.

Remote location with a little bit of comfort”
It's in the middle of the bush, miles from anywhere
the eco retreat is right in the heart of karijini national park and is really the only option for accommodation within the park unless you're happy to sleep in a swag under the stars! it's about a 360km drive south from port hedland and be warned - the last 30km is a very rough, unsealed road. you'll need a sturdy vehicle that doesn't mind getting jolted around and covered in red dust! the eco-tents are literally that, tents! they do have a metal frame, a wooden deck floor and are big enough to hold a proper double bed, so a good nights sleep is possible. don't expect any other frills though. each 'tent' comes with it's own outdoor en-suite (shower and toilet). these are screened from general view, but i would highly recommend that you do what you need to do before dark - come night time frogs and spiders (biggest i've ever seen!) abound... the reception / bar / restaurant is really nice - great place to sit, have a drink and watch the sunset over the bush after a hard day's trekking around the gorges. the staff were really friendly and helpful too.

      the scenery
situated in the karijini national park, it was very nice to sleep in such a tent with private bathroom and wake up in such a scenery. it's quite expensive though but there is nothing out there apart from the tom price motel about 65km away and the roadhouse on the other side (which i would both not recommend). be sure to have a good car when going there and have enough gas. if you have your own tent or camper, you can stay there for a much lower price.

      Einmaliges Erlebnis”
