The hotel is really modern and stylish. We brought our small dog. The owner and staff really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. An excellent hotel if you want to bring your pet - and even if you don't want to bring your pet. We will return here.
Extremely pet friendly hotel”
Pet friendly with A1 service from all staff members. Staff showed a genuine interest in dogs so we felt welcomed the whole entire trip. Rooms was spacious, and is located right next to GoodView restaurant.
This was a road trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. I loved that this is a pet-friendly hotel because we took our dog with us. The staff, room, and the entire hotel were very accommodating to pets. They had a water bowl and bed for my dog in the room and an outside area for my dog to do her business. The room was very clean and had all the amenities including bathrobes and slippers. The water pressure in my room was strong so it was very relaxing when taking a shower. The only 2 complaints about the room was the air conditioning and the bed. I think the air conditioner needed to be cleaned because the room felt warm even though the temp was set at 21 degrees. As for the bed, it was designed to has the edges stick out so my 2 girls bumped their knees on the edges which really hurt because the bed was made of wood. Breakfast was ok. It was the standard ABF or boiled rice with pork. However, the a la carte menu has a good selection. I also took my 2 young daughters with me so the egg rolls and chicken nuggets was a life saver when we checked in late in the afternoon. I also recommend the cold brew coffee with the fruit ice cubes. The location was inside a residential area. If traveling by car, then it's convenient, if not, then it's a bit of a walk to the riverside restaurants and shops. However, the hotel is within 20-30 mins of the old city, Central Festival shopping mall, and the other nice restaurants outside of town. Finally, the staff were very helpful and understanding of pets and small children. They did not once warn us about my girls breaking anything or my dog being somewhere she shouldn't. There were very few staff on hand but they were helpful with the luggage and providing room service. So overall, this hotel was very good and my entire family had a very pleasant stay.
Just Fanatastic.....Hope to come again. ”
We were absolutely pleased with our stay. This hotel is a little gem! We loved the décor-simplistic but stylish -the colors made it even better. The Manager ON greeted us on arrival and she was always available and so were her staff. Great café and breakfast! Great ambience -really relaxing. We loved the support for local arts and crafts that is promoted by the hotel and ON's enthusiasm -my wife loved her knitted top! We hope to go the Chaing Mai again and stay here.
Simple and unique”
Ketawa is away from the busy street along the river. It's a small boutique hotel with only 13 rooms. Room size is quite big. Breakfast was good and tasty. Walking to Thaphae gate would take about 20 min. Not so far if you enjoy walking. We enjoyed a quiet 3-night stay here.
Pleasant, quiet city hotel”
While we only had a one night stay , my wife and I enjoyed our time at the hotel. We have been to Chiang Mai many times and have not always had a good experience renting rooms. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in CM for either a short or longer stay.
Its off the beaten track a little but very very nice hotel friendly staff very clean and modern love it nice and quiet very nicely designed hotel secure and private breakfast was very nice good service nice coffee and snacks. Would recommend it to anyone and my friends.
Quiet Hotel ”
This hotel is at the back side of the Ping River with a short-cut to the main road, very convenient and easy access to many famous restaurants. It is quiet and comfortable. Wi-fi is eaily access in the hotel room and public area. However the shower is not function well not so good for bathing!
Lovely boutique hotel with attentive service”
a lovely small boutique hotel, they have only 17 rooms so which means not many staffs and guests most of the time, for me which is a good thing as they are able to give you attentive service and personal space. Service is good and staff speak good english and always greet you and attend to you whenever you need anything. They have a swimming pool, but being in Chiang Mai, the water gets very cold at times. Breakfast is OK with a local or western set selection, for me it is OK with the money you pay. Tut-tut around the town will not know the hotel exactly that well due to it's location, be sure to bring a address slip from the hotel when you go out and show it the driver when you heading back. Overall a lovely hotel with personal touch, I will definitely come back to Ketawa when I come back to Chiang Mai..
The hotel is secluded near the Riverside, with quiet and cozy environment, privacy assured. A boutique styled hotel with excellent service, personal touch - staff are exceptionally friendly, warm and polite. Rooms are superbly designed, spacy and uniquely decorated. We stayed three nights and have fallen in love with this hotel - would consider a second stay on return trip!
Nice place big clean room”
Near local market by walk
very good choice for Pets lover”
Really love the hotel and nice staff.
Very good hotel for Pets lover”
Really love the hotel facilities and staff, comfortable, clean and good location to go around Chiangmai.
we are an agoda frequent user/traveller, went there with a little dog, didnt expect d extra 300b fees for a dog, plus extra 370b for breakfast (esp. when it said in d 1st page thats its included.!!! if the food was good then we might not complain, but its suck, left hungry! the hotel didnt have d same feeling as photos, more like an office style, d pool only for a dog. We booked the room with d garden view (even call in advance) the staff lied , end up with a building view, there is 0 garden there, very noisy loud from the bar next door till late night. Bad location, far from everything, tiny parking place. LOTss of hotel's dog/cat lock up aggressively (was barking at my dogs non stop) in d little glass room to show customer in d cafe, so sad for them. God knows why other Thais like it there so much. We Def. wont go there ever again. vs. shower towel is the size of hand towel.
Great place to stay with your lovely pet. My cat and I love the place. The location might be a bit difficult to find at first. There is only 3 parking space in front of the hotel. You might have to park along the street.
Lovely staff, fantastic stay ”
We loved our time at Ketawa! We have a lot of pro's, starting with the staff. They are lovely, kind people and very helpful. The banana pancakes at breakfast are DELICIOUS oh my goodness. We just wish that we could order more than one dish at breakfast, it was not as filling as we would have liked. Nevertheless we loved it because those were probably the most delicious pancakes I've ever tasted. Breakfast could also have more Thai options, like at least Thai coffee and Thai tea instead of just Italian coffees... We loved playing with the dogs! The owner has 7 dogs that live on the property and guests are free to spend time petting them and playing with them. It was so fun!! The location is just outside the city center and is about a 10 minute walk to the city. It can be hard to find tuk tuk sometimes but we used uber and it worked perfectly! We didn't mind being a little out of the center. Rooms are clean and very large. Showers could use an update.
Great Hotel with Pet Friendly Services.”
To my wife and myself, our fur babies (3 Dogs & 1 Cat) are the world to us. Hence able to stay together with all of them in 1 room is good enough. However the hotel facilities were great and good food to sum it up. Most importantly, the staffs over at Ketawa are second to none. Keep the great work up!
Beautiful hotel, but front desk staff was not atte”
The restaurant has limited hours, which was very inconvenient as my husband, daughter and I were all sick. We always had to ring for someone to come to the reception desk. For a 4-star hotel and as much as they charge, we would expect dinner service at the restaurant and for someone to be at reception during daytime hours.
Wonderful Boutique Hotel”
I travel globally for both work and leisure for over 25 years. Having stayed at guest houses to five star resorts (Four Seasons), including several places in Chiang Mai, Ketawa ranks very highly and I recommend this family-owned, boutique hotel. As a smaller mother/daugter run establishment, the personalized service, warm staff, cleanliness, beautiful rooms and delicious breakfast make it a standout among the larger 4 stars in Chiang Mai. Orn and her staff make a big difference in the little details. Enjoy!
The Best Hotel I have ever stayed at!”
I can honestly say without a doubt one of the best experiences in any hotel I have stayed at in Asia. The staff were friendly and super attentive to our needs. They were courteous and friendly at every interaction we had with them. They have a cute little coffee shop that sells also boutique dog treats which was a nice little bonus. They also have multiple dogs that live on premises that made it even more memorable ( me and my fiancé are huge dog lovers). I would honestly plan a trip just to go back Chiang Mai to stay at this hotel and have the chance to explore an amazing city once more. 5 stars for this little boutique hotel!
