not as good as last time”
we stayed at lusia's last time we were in Samoa-didn't think as good this time-food wasnt quite as nice as it could be, had hassles with booking, phone calls not returned, room had a jug but no tea or coffee supplies, staff were lovely but seemed to struggle with our requests

Awesome location, everything else average <3”
Sleeping above the water on the lagoon is beautiful! I got a different chalet to what I thought I had booked (thought it was the cute wooden ones in the picture, but it was a double chalet with someone in the room next to us, not very private as there are no walls but mosquito nets covering framing which was admittedly nice and cool in the evening and the bed was super comfortable) after kayaking around the lagoon and looking at the chalets from the water we were glad we weren't in the wooden ones as the base of the poles were badly rotting away and parts of the balcony were broken off they looked really dodgy! Food was pretty good, they forgot our fruit with our breakfast both days and forgot our coffee and tea on the second (felt a bit awkward that samoan guests always got everything straight away..we had to sit waiting, and had sometimes never got the order) also forgot to bring drinks out that we had ordered the first night which i guess is just a loss to them..i suggest investing in some note pads -trying to remember everyone's order is not really working out..Saying that the staff were all lovely and friendly, we just felt a bit left out.

      great location, but overpriced place!”
Pros: best location with all the awesomeness of savai'i - jump right outside the room to snorkel, closest to the ferry terminal, fantastic view; and the people with usual Samoan hospitality - friendly warmth and always smiling. Cons: Could understand why I should pay so much for this basic amenities, and also did not understand why they did not make up our room next day; the food is okay but not great, the fried reef fish was totally off. And after driving around the island I think if one has his own car its not too bad an idea to stay a bit far from the jetty, snorkeling places can be found in other places in the island too... and if I have to pay that much then I would go to any of the two other resorts who at least have better food options.

Nice place, great food and wonderful lagoon.”
The lagoon, fala's and especially the food.
I really enjoyed staying here, the food was excellent, staff very friendly and the lagoon chalets were very nice, especially waking up in the morning. I like the natural gardens and trees about. The lagoon is nice and deep and you can swim at any time of the day without the worry of low depth. There are some nice fish that swim about and it is really close to the ferry. I didn't like the high priced internet that is common practice throughout Samoa. Also with heavy rain the Lagoon Chalets will leak around the door facing the lagoon. Otherwise a lovely place to relax and meet people.

I was extremely happy with my stay in this lovely and friendly hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the local food is tasty and good value, the swimming just outside of the hotel is a very unique experience with warm ocean water under the cold creek water.

      Location, food, views.
Great place to stay - very close to the wharf and blowholes and other attractions. Stunning views, clean and tidy. Cold showers only - no lights not entirely clean and small room for two people. Amazing meals and cocktails, friendly staff. Even put the rugby on for us to watch the All Blacks game live. Clean and clear water with fresh water spring also available.

Location and great atmosphere with service to match
Great location on arrival to the island with close proximaty to the ferry and local markets.Great first stop before embarking on adventure to explore the island. New rooms are inviting, comfortable and great view of the ocean where you can enjoy a morning swim within 50m of your unit. Greatest praise goes to a young staff who are only to keen to help and make you feel welcome, adds to the island atmosphere. Food, simple but well prepared and enjoyable -reasonably priced. Dining area relaxed and comforatable. Great fresh water rock pool which is very inviting after a long day in the heat. Do recommend to all classes of travellers.

Friendly, helpful staff, excellent management, beautiful setting, great food
I stayed in a chalet right on the lagoon. The setting was magnificent with fish gliding beneath my deck and swallows in the evenings. Good swimming and coral reef snorkelling and easy paddle away. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, including a wonderful fish curry and magnificent fruit platters for breakfast. I didn't meet the legendary Luisia but American Jim did a great job and the staff were very warm and friendly. I liked the fact that there were a lot of Samoans staying there. Use of the kayaks was free and I hired a birke for a few dollars an hour. The market, ferry and bus stop were all a short walk or taxi ride away.

Friendly & helpful staff, Comfortable family room, lagoon and rock pool.
We are a family of four with 2 children ages 3yrs and 15yrs. They really enjoyed swimming in the lagoon and rock pool. I had read previous reviews about the mosquitoes which prompted me to book the family room away from the water with aircon which worked out very well for us. We also had plenty of insect repellent which we used daily and I was pleased to leave Lusia's with only a few mossie bites and even my 3yr old son had fewer than me even though he was outdoors and swam more than I did.

      Tropical setting, and lovely lagoon
the hotel was lovely, the staff extremely friendly, breakfast were very good, with local coffee. if you stay at this hotel, please be aware of rotting timbers in the verandahs at steps going up to the fales, as i had a bad experience on my second day of staying here.i fell right through rotting timber on the verandah, my leg was totally stuck, and it was only my husband that helped by pulling the next rotten board out, so my leg was released. a few days later, a step going up to one of the fales, had broken, when a guest fell through this also, and hurt herself.
