Beautiful hotel with nice swimming pool. ”
Hotel was beautiful with perfect location in lamai beach. Nearby few attractions like grandpa rocks. Motorcycle rental a bit expensive. Just walking distance can find it at better price. Beach not suitable for swimming.
Great hotel but the beach was not nice”
The hotel was great in itself. The food was good, rooms were great and pool was nice. The only issue we had was that the beach was not nice. The water was a dirty, there was broken glass in the sand and seaweed all over it. We used to take a taxi a couple kilometres up the road to Lamai beach each day to have beach time. The pool was really nice. Only issue is it has a sharp facing all the way around which cut the kids a couple of times. If you’re ok with the taxi to the beach I would say otherwise a great hotel for the price.
Best service ever. The hotel is so Nice, the Staff so welcoming, the food Great, location superb. We stayed 14 Days in Thailand, and the only regret we had was mot booking this hotel for more then 3 night.
Wifi was sketchy in our room, but good at the pool. Beach was dirty and covered in garbage (including broken glass). They have a small stretch of sand and it wouldn’t take much to clean it up..,it’s unsightly and unsafe. The room, breakfast and facilities were all good and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Lovely hotel, beautiful pool area and gym, fabulous breakfast”
A lovely boutique hotel, the photographs do not do it justice. It also has a large air conditioned gym which it does not advertise. Breakfast is fabulous, massive choice and of high quality. The staff are really helpful, hotel is very clean and on the nice side of the bay. This is genuinely a four star hotel with very high standards I would highly recommend you stay here you will not be disappointed.
Where to start! Listing all the adjectives I can think of to describe our experience would just be too cheesy, lets just say this resort/hotel surpassed ALL our expectations, I can definitely recommend it. I love the colonial architecture, the lovely modern room and comfortable bed, the garden, the pool, the view at the pool, the breakfast, and the staff.
Tired, dirty room, requested a room with a balcony, it overlooked apartments, didnt even have a chair on the balcony, doors wouldnt close properly so banged during the night Room wasnt cleaned properly, mat dirty and stained and dusty furniture. Ridiclously overpriced menus, taxi service, coffees etc with an extrememly rude Receptionist. Breakfast waiting staff were very pleasant, however buffet had bugs next to the food which was uncovered and birds flying around the area, very unhygenic. Unfortunately had to stay 3 nights due to flight changes but overall was very disappointed with the poor standards.
My best place in Samui”
The location was far from Nathon pier, took us like 30-40 minutes by scooter. But it was just right in front of Lamai beach, and near to other attractions. The pool was also great. Bed was super comfy, chill environment, friendly and helpfull staffs. I would love to come and stay here again. 101% recommended!
Great place in Koh Samui away from the crowds but near the beach”
We stayed at Manathai for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The only regret was that we didn't sign up for breakfast - it looked amazing! The room was nice and just the right size for us. We didn't eat at the restaurants on site, but there were a few options. We didn't use the gym, but it had some cardio machines, free weights, and yoga mats. The pool lounge area is nice and it's right near the beach. The hotel has added a crossing guard to make it easier to cross the street between the hotel and pool lounge. There's several restaurants, laundry, grocery stores, and massage places near by. The bed was a little too hard for us, but still got some good sleep.
We stayed here for one night. The stay was nice gave us a very colonial feeling. The rooms and surrounding was nice. Staff was very accommodating. Easy to move around to get a rented scooter. However we had our pillows smelling off damp-ness. But was changed immediately after complain.. otherwise everything was fine.
Great resort for family or couples. Not for solo travelers looking to be social. The place is well kept, very clean and great staff always available. English is at a bare minimum. The breakfast buffet is fantastic, there’s something for everyone. The rooms are fairly new and spacious, bathroom is new and modern, coffee and tea in room with kettle. Its a quiet hotel, beautiful pool across the street over looking the beach. If you are looking for peaceful and quiet this is the place for you. You will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Many small shops and restaurants in walking distance. No night life near by really. I would definitely stay here again. You won’t be disappointed.
An excellent hotel with a fantastic ocean-front pool. (You have to walk across the main road to get there, but they have staff that can stop the cars for you!) -Decent breakfast with excellent coffee. -Good bed and furnishings. -Housecleaning was friendly but lazy sometimes. -Poolside relaxing area was great except other guests would come and put their towels and stuff on chairs to reserve them, and never come back. -First room had no wifi reception, but they moved us after about an hour of trying to sort things out. -Second room was great but occasionally had a super-nasty sewer smell from the drains. -Not super close to other attractions, but that's what we were going for. 12 minute taxi ride from the mall and 20 minutes from the Fisherman's Friday Night Market. -Both rooms we saw had views of just normal island life. People hanging their laundry at home, etc. No ocean views here.
Amazing Value for Money”
Manathai was amazing, the hotel bring a cool vibe with it. Location was slightly off, however a quick scooter ride and you'll be where you need to be. Staff were friendly and was easy to hire scooters from the hotel itself. I would definitely recommend staying here to all my friends!
Location is far away”
Unless you have own transport or you don't mind to stay in the hotel the whole day, otherwise, I would not recommend this place. The Fisherman village night market is closed on Saturday. Basically, the nearby area is very quiet and remote. Taxi is expensive to move around from place to place. Super inconvenient.
Mini little paradise on a noisy street”
Manathai Koh Samui is a nice hotel, that is clean and comfortable. It has two pools and small beach area that's right on the water. It has two restaurants and a breakfast room. We stayed for a night, as we had been on a different part of the island and wanted some other scenery. It was nicely decorated and the pool/beach was relaxing. You do have to cross a busy, noisy street to get from the rooms to the pool/beach/restaurant. Not as enjoyable as it could've been if all the resort were in one location. Would recommend, but other places on the island are probably better suited for the cost.
A beautiful dream of a hotel ”
Wow, this hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! The rooms were a delight and the pool and beach were stunning! The bean bags on their private beach give the hotel a chilled yet special feel. We hired a bike for 300 baht and drove to Chaweng which was about a half hour drive but easy enough! I can not recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely stay at this hotel again!
Great place to stay”
I stayed in the Manathai suit room. Its a very nice place with a huge living room. Great staff and very helpful. The hotel is very close to the convenient store (both 7/11 and Family mart). Highly recommended for any type of travelers
Amazing Resort the staff were beyond wonderful cant praise this property enough. Quiet location just a short walk into town Simply Beautiful. Special shout out to the breakfast staff and Pad Thai cafe staff
Very nice colonial style hotel, quiet area, nice beach”
Hotel is far enough from the city center of Lamai to be quiet, but enough close to enjoy the vibration whenever you want. (5 min taxi, 15 min walk) Room is nice, acceptable gym, excellent breakfast, good service and really cool private beach on the other side of the road.
Spacious and Clean Room with Excellent Service”
We were allowed to check in even it was just 12 at noon. Staffs able to speak good English and very friendly. Those who are looking for excited nightlife should not opt for this hotel. This hotel located at quiet street which meant for relax purposes.
