Lovely pool area but it gets no sun. The gym was nice but could do with a clean. The staff were very helpful and it was within walking distance to a lot of amenities. The bed was big and the bathroom was clean. Overall a very good stay
Simply not the best...”
The hotel has an impressive lobby, but it's in fact a worn out hotel (probably use to be luxuarious). The description mentioned a free breakfast, but the confirmation didn't include the breakfast. The room had a strong sewage smell (not clear why) and at the end of the day, we much prefer the ambiance of most small hostel in the area. However, I have to say, it's still a very good value for the buck!
Great Value for money !!!”
Its a nice hotel with good reception staff and clean rooms. Located at a walking distance from many great cafes and bars.
Amazing hotel for an amazing price!!!”
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, rooms that are clean and big and a nice pool!!
Nice place, disappointing staff”
Nice hotel, good value, good location, good facilities. Annoyed at check-in though. We reserved a double room. We were taken to a room which had 2 x singles stuck together with sheets over the top. Only noticed a bit later. Phoned reception, and they changed our room to a satisfactory double. Why were we not given this room in the first place? We'd booked a few days in advance, so no excuses. Very disappointed with that.
Very nice location, clean room, quiet which sleep very well. Surrounded by 3 coffee shopsAnd 7-11 store.
The restaurant is at the pool side with good view. However, the breakfast is no good.
Good place, good hotel.”
I suggest this hotel to who are searching midton of CNX and can walk back from NightBarzar easily. The room have only 3 light bulb and don't have light enough inside, you cannot read books. Light buld have only the desk area and curtain. Staff at lobby not mind service to customer, some info in ChaingMai they're cannot told you. Finally this hotel is best for good facility, valued price to who will not came to work and know more info in CNX. Oh, the additional bed for THB450, very expensive and i never heared over THB200 in Thailand.
Worth Every Baht!”
Hotel is well-located to the nearby night markets, mall, food court, and the ever-so--convenient 7-11. Clean and comfy beds with nearly a complete set of amenities. Quick check-in and out. Friendly hotel staff. Two thumbs up! Cons: Tiny ants are seen crawling along the dressing table.
Bedroom was great but bedside table a little dusty. Bathroom was disappointing. There was a bath but no taps or plug! I had to jump to reach the towels off the rack and the shower had no way to change the temperature. Other than the bathroom everything was great.
Comfortable Value Choice”
Was looking at more atmospheric guesthouses, but returned to Maninakorn for quiet, privacy, convenient location and amenities of more full service hotel. Enjoyed the small pool, convenient check-in, breakfast and nearby cafes.
Good hotel compering price , swimming pool needs better cleaning!”
The hotel was good, staff were friendly. I didnt try the breakfast buffet. Rooms were spacious but little bit strange design, alot of useless space behind the bed. Swimming pool needs better cleaning or filtration, the water looked very dirty, couldnt almost see to the bottom of it. They said its because its high season and many tourists, but I didnt see any people in the pool.
Good location close to night bazaar”
Nice hotel by Thai standards, with good facilities and a solid breakfast. The condition of the hotel is starting to get a little tired... with the odd fixture a bit loose or in need of a drop of paint. If youre looking for the Ritz, keep looking.... if you're looking for a comfortable nights sleep in the heart of Chiang Mai and a good breakfast, then you've found it.
Great short stay”
We stayed for just one night after flying in from Bangkok. The hotel was walking distance to the night market, clean and had a good swimming pool. The breakfast was quite extensive, with lots of options, but not too busy. The staff were very helpful. Sometimes it's the little things that make a hotel stand out... This one includes a free drink (hot or cold coffee, tea, orange juice etc.) in the lobby bar, which I thought was lovely.
Because of a discount from Agoda, I booked this room for nine US dollars. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. I was able to leave my things in a safe place while exploring the town. The Chiang Mai night market was only a ten minute walk away, and I really enjoyed my stay here.
Would never stay again!”
The only good thing, the room was clean. BUT VERY noisy. I could not sleep the whole night, to late to change room when we discovered the AC condenser at the small balcony next to the room sounded like a Bus with motor on ALL NIGHT, even with earplugs so loud. And if you turn AC off when cool enough and later turn AC on again, then the light comes on in the hall...even during night. POOL was very dirty looking, no one wanted or could speak english that well to explain WHY the pool was muddy looking. We booked this hotel because of pool but could not swim in it at all. Breakfast, not much to chose from. Cold sausage not good. Not at all worth the money. It all felt "tired/no interests" for guests. Sorry but book somewere else if you go to Chiang Mai. We wrote a complaint but no manager have taken time to call/mail us back. That is not very serviceminded. Such "small" things to change: less noise in the bedrooms and breakfast if You want guest to be happy at Your hotel!
Staff and pool were great. The rooms are a bit outdated, but great for the price.
