Review & Comment”
All staff are found very sincere hospitality. The room is cleaned and quiet. Except the water from the tap is seemed the chlorine level too high (that has already sounded to the hotel staff). Overall found satisfactory.
Simple, clean, not expensive”
clean, inexpensive, not far from the centre. I have booked a room with breakfast, but the breakfast was not in the Hotel. I received a voucher for a very simple breakfast in another hotel 200 meters away
Clean and friendly”
my wife and i arrived at 1am after a long journey. the check in was swift and friendly. the room was a very good size, very clean and very comfortable. the location is a bit out the way but was perfect for what i need as i was leaving for phi phi the next day. the hotel helped with my phi phi booking, didn't try to rip me off and everything went well. they had a swimming pool that looked small but clean. i never got the chance to use it. overall, very happy. did exactly what i needed it to do.
Great hotel with exceptional staff”
i had to stay here for almost a month while recovering from surgery and would recommend it to anybody. great staff. can't say enough about how friendly and easy the staff were. the rooms are new, the bed was very comfortable, a/c and cable t.v. with a mid size reefer with planty of room for food from the store. also, great wifi reception in the room.
helpful staff and hot rooms”
the room took forever to cool down even with the air conditioner cranked all the way up. the wifi also was not working for our 1 night there. the staff was very helpful and provided decent instructions to places near the hotel.
Really nice clean new hotel”
We had a 1 night stop at Mei Zhou, they arranged our airport pick up from Phuket Airport (300Bhat) and were friendly and efficient. We had a suite so the room was very spaciouse for the 3 of us,Pool was really nice too.The hotel is very new so everything is clean and beautiful, tiled floors. The decor is very zen, and nice touches...We walked into the old town in the morning and had a coffee at a really groovy cafe, and checked out the markets etc.Lots of Banks close by.We had prearranged hotel pickup to the pier for our trip across to AoNang, which the hotel confirmed by phone for us in the morning. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the Rasada Pier and the ferry left at 2pm so plenty of time for a nice relaxing morning. Not the cheapest hotel around but well worth the extra money....
Nice place in central in Phuket Town”
We stayed 2 Nights in Mei Zhou, before flying back after a month travelling through Thailand. We enjoyed the stay there, especially - its central location in Phuket Town - very friendly, attentive and helpful staff - nice and clean rooms - WLAN, Aircon and everything else worked fine - Very quiet location, at least on our side towards the pool The balconies are rather small and not really useful and remember you can't eat lunch or dinner there. We didn't have a chance to have breakfast. But overall a very pleasant stay and we may easily recommend it for a stay at Phuket Town.
mei zhou is quite a new hotel and would consider staying again if i wanted to be in phuket town. the breakfast was just adequate but not buffet. staff were friendly and helpful and spoke little english, but hey, we were in their country. very close to "gold" street(as we called it), many many gold jewellery stores
great hotel good location (bus station - 5 min)”
We're traveling with a child and wanted to get a glimps of the town as well as a jumping point to phi phi. Furthermore we wanted to rent a car and drivee around a bit. The staff was very helpfull, and aranged for the car to be dopped at the hotel as well as picked up later. At the check in the wifi wasn't worrking so. We could use their computers instead (for free). the rooms are clean and well mantained. the pool is nice. the only negative thing i would have to point out is breakfast, for it is not a buffet but rather a plain ccontinential one and is not worth to pay extra for, since one can find noodle sellers and 7/11 stores everywhere. also th dep.store rrobinson's is 15 min away. if i had an option not to take the breakfast ii wouldn't 'cause it is not wworth the money. otherwise i'd say it's a nicee place. Oh the safety deposit box is at the switch board and only the staff has the key. One has no control when the box is opened 4 other residents disposal.
Cozy small hotel and great service with a smile”
staff friendly, helpful and spoke english. breakfast was generous. ample guest parking. centrally located to explore phuket town's architectural history and shopping. adventurous tourists can also try the delicious local small food offered. we had a wonderful time trying out the local food we were there!
Modern business hotel with extremely helpful staff”
Stayed two nights in this hotel on our way from Koh Lanta to Chiang Mai. Overall a good experience. Room was very spacious, super neat, and very comfortable, but a bit on the functional side. Breakfast was average: pre-cooked eggs due to lack of a real kitchen. The rice soup was nice though. Greatest plus of the hotel was its reception staff. Friendly and extremely helpful. We had a minor accident with our rented motor bike which resulted in three minor scratches. It took us three hours to negotiate a price for the damage that was at least approaching a reasonable amount of money -- and the receptionist helped us the whole three hours. You easily get used to good service in Thailand but this was truly exceptional!
Our first hoilday in Phuket ”
Overall our thoughts about our first hotel experience in Phuket was great. We throughly enjoyed our stay, this Hotel has a lot to offer, comfortable room, with pool access, breakfast included, taxi pickup from airport which was an additional service that the hotel offered, very close to city centre, which made it very good for walking around town and seeing what the city had to offer which was nice and relaxing. You get to see more if you can walk it for yourself you do not need the service of a Tuk Tuk to do this and it is refreshing. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying for the first time in Phuket, the staff very friendly, I found everyone to be very accommodating, and I thank them very much for making our first stay in Phuket a very wonderful experience one we shall never forget.
The hotel is located in the heart of city”
It is quiet and nice hotel, not far away from bus station, historical books store and only walking distance to shopping complex.
Room is cleaned, equipped with boiler for drinking water, good TV program. Towel, bed sheets and pillow covers were found clean and changed daily. Nice, clean but small swimming pool.
Clean and simple with nice staff in a good location ”
Nice just off the big road making it a nice place for Phuket Town. Very helpful staff who did things more then expected.
We stayed at Mei Zhou for two nights upon arrival from Australia and before heading off to the islands. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Rassada Pier and for that it was fantastic. We stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Pool Access. The room was very nice and clean and the pool access was lovely, especially with our 2.5-year-old, so easy to just quickly hop in for a splash, then a quick wipe down on the porch and back in the room again. The pool itself isn't very big or by any means spectacular, but the pool access does make it a bit special. At busy times privacy could be an issue as there are pool chairs just opposite the room (facing the pool and hence the room windows), but the hotel was very quiet when we were there and we barely saw a soul. Staff are very friendly, but speak rather poor English, so communication is a bit of a challenge. We only just managed to communicate the need for a taxi to the pier. Breakfast is definitely nothing to write home to mum about. It is ordered in from somewhere else as the hotel doesn't have cooking facilities and arrives cold (eggs and sausages included), but it's included in the price so one doesn't have to pay extra for it and it's convenient when you're in a hurry to the ferry. The hotel reception and main area are well looked after. The rooms are surrounding a large pool filled with koi, which is quite nice.
Quiet oasis a little off the beaten track”
Good stay in a pleasant, spotlessly clean and well maintained hotel. Standard 'thai' firm mattress but really comfy pillows! Breakfast a little below average and limited: choice of three, continental -a fried egg, toast jam and a dollop of marmalade all on the same plate. The eggs are all cooked all at once so a bit unpleasant when they're old and slip into the marmalade. Small side of fruit, tea and coffee. I recommend take breakfast outside, there are a lot of better options within 20 mins walk. I took a poolside room, nice view but lacks privacy as everyone walking by can see straight into your room. Free wifi, reasonable connection. Really friendly and helpful staff though English is a little limited, always smiling and willing to help.
Clean hotel, nice staff, near the bus station. ”
Stayed three nights on the way to islands. Nice clean budget hotel. ( if you get good offer...) staff is really friendly. Short walk ( 5 min) to center. Near couple good restaurants. Walls are like paper so if there is party animals at the same time it can be little annoying.
Staff were very helpful when we were trying to get from Phuket town to other areas of Phuket. The rooms were large and the pool was nice. The hotel is two minutes walk from the bus station in Phuket town where you can get the public bus to the beaches or a bus to the new main bus terminal (terminal 2) for buses to Surat Thani, Bangkok etc. Its about a 15 minute walk to a really nice restaurant called Dibuk.
OK hotel but wouldn't stay there more than a night”
the hotel was nice and clean inside, located close to the main streets of phuket town. the staff were very helpful and nice, helping us to locate bus terminal 2 for a bus to krabi. the room was clean but basic, nice bed but not much else to say about it. breakfast was a buffet although very limited choice and most of it was cold. the swimming pool was tiny and very dirty. the hotel was pleasant enough and fine for a 1 night stop over in transit but i wouldn't have wanted to stay there any longer. just to point out there is a new bus station which is about 7kms away from the hotel, it seems to be operating most of the bus transfers which caused some confusion as part of the reason we chose this hotel was because of it's location to what we thought was the bus station we needed.
