    good value, convenient location”

hutong neighborhood, near Metro, budget price, family-run

For a small group on a budget this inn is perfect. The rooms are clean with good basic furnishings. Print the map from the internet and a taxi driver should have no trouble finding it. I visited twice this summer with small groups and found the owner helpful and the service good.

    Authentic

good little place to stay down and around the corner. it was a bit of a hassle to find the place but when we did, it was a nice location and tucked away in a hutong the staff was generally confused about who we were, why we were there and why we were talking to them. they provided a room at a good price though. the second floor loung has a good view in the morning of the hutong's backyards. book a few nights here but if you really need a place to stay cheap just go across the street, the china southern sponsor hotel has rooms at 1/4 of the price this place does believe it or not.

    Super Duper

Good little place to stay down and around the corner. It was a bit of a hassle to find the place but when we did, it was a nice location and tucked away in a HuTong The staff was generally confused about who we were, why we were there and why we were talking to them. They provided a room at a good price though and we couldn't ask for more (literally). The second floor loung has a good view in the morning of the HuTong's backyards.

    very hard to find

this hotel staff are trying very hard to providing good service to everyone, this is good. the room is quite big compare to other simialr price hotel in beijing, and they have a very large bathroom. this hotel theme is chinese, which is quite special. so many western people stay in this hotel. one of the bad thing in this hotel- very very hard to find, and no taxi will go coz the taxi driver say the street is too narrow and not able to pass through, this is turth. and, it is quite far away from the subway station, even you know how to walk to this hotel, you still need more than 20min walk to hotel, first time i need to spend 45min to find this hotel.

Good location (once you find it), Excellent staff”

    Staff, hutong-style, location

I cannot praise the local staff enough. They were very accommodating, as I'd been living in Beijing for a year-and-a-half and had many bags, which they held for a day after my stay. They upgraded my room from economy to suite without charge, because it was the slow season. They were all super nice, though I speak little Chinese, and they spoke no English as far as I could tell. My Chinese friend was there as interpreter. Rooms are nice though old, clean enough. I'm not a very picky person, as I've traveled many places, the conditions of which are far from cleanly, but I think this hotel was quite nice for the price. The lobby is aesthetically pleasing, with the umbrella hung ceiling, and though it's in a hutong, which means taxi drivers grumble to drive the narrow roads, it's not a far walk to the main road. Maybe five minutes, and there are a lot of inexpensive local restaurants along the way. I'd recommend to anyone who is trying to do Beijing on the cheap, because it's a great location - Houhai and the Forbidden City are near enough to cab to for a decent price.

    Main tour best location hotel”

    Boss very nice and friendly

The hotel is near to public transport(BeiJing subway) station with walking within 10minute, the only weakness is the hotel is hiding in the small corner from the main road. The price is reasonable and having hotel basic travel pack like hair and body shampoo, and also 1 time usage teeth brush set. It is reasonable for the rental price and suitable for single day trip traveller.

Good location, close to metro station, however, the tour that recommended by the hotel manager is really bad, higher charge than standard, the tour experience is really bad. Overall, the hotel is value for money, but don't take tour in hotel, recommend to follow the authorized tour.

Hotel is a bit far from MRT, about 15 minutes walking distance. Staff are friendly. Room is OK, they change king size bed room to twin room to me. No hair dryer available during the stay but other items i.e. tooth brush, shampoo and etc are provided. For the money paid, so far so good.

    Green spacious lovely budget hotel”

The very best value for money in town.

I guess I must have stayed about 20 times in this hotel by now. I keep on coming back as it is the best value for money in Beijing. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are reasonably big and very clean. The beds are very comfortable, there is free wireless, the decoration has caracter, it feels safe and more. They don't offer breakfast but with many dozens of restaurants of all kinds just around the corner you don't need that. No gym no swimmingpool but I don't need these things. It's got a lovely covered terrace where you'll find it very relaxing after a long day out and about.

Great place to stay, relatively cheap for a hotel...walking distance to everything you are looking for. shops and transportation. Was barely at the hotel of course but its relatively a safe place to walk late at night and it's nearby the restaurants and shops if you decide to stay close by. Wouldn't mind staying here again.

Central location and quite near Forbidden City.

Room very dirty and bed is very hard. No place to hang my clothes and toilet/ shower floor was flooded. Had to complain and repair was done within 2 hours. WIFI signals in the room very weak and quite frustrating to use. Someone tried to open my luggage as the combination number '000' was different when I came back one evening, although nothing was stolen. Will not go back to this hotel again!

    location

The hotel actually looked quite different. I always prefer rooms which are bright. (It's not about the windows but the light in the room should be warm and light enough.) The room turned out kinda poor. And it was not as clean as it suppose to be. I could see some hairs in the washroom......which is really bad.... I had to wear my flip flop when I took shower. The staffs were nice and the location was not bad. It took us 5-10 minutes to go to the bus stop or the subway.
