"Very nice and well appointed."

This fine hotel is complete with a wood and stone feel that does well in complementing the spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Ramada Resort Wanaka is a short walk from Wanaka's Millennium Walkway, the lakeshore, and just two kilometers from the heart of the village. Lake Wanaka's natural beauty is like no other in the world with clear streams and rivers flowing from snow-covered peaks throughout the year. World-class fishing, sailing, kayaking, and exploring are the features of the region, and the helpful staff at this relatively inexpensive lodge will be certain that all guests' needs are taken care of. Enjoy the ambiance of lovely Wanaka at a perhaps lower-than-expected price at Ramada Resort Wanaka.

This is a lovely resort with large rooms and plenty of parking. There is pool with a slide if you don't want to walk 15 mins to the lake. Its an hours drive from queenstown so I would recommend staying in one or the other location. Internet here is not included and is expensive at the resort.
Comfortable hotel with good facilities”
The rooms are spacious with new furnishings and adequately equipped kitchen. Also the hotel has a pool with gym facilities for those looking to work out. Lobby area of the hotel is also well decorated and brochures are provided with activities. However, car park may be limited at this hotel especially nearer the rooms. Also due to the layout of the car park, we were delayed close to 15-20minutes as there was a furniture truck delivering new furniture which blocked the carpark driveway.
Wonderful spacious room wh complete kitchenette”
We went to Wanaka with our 8mo son and stayed in this hotel, the studio we booked was very spacious, clean and modern. The kitchenette was especially useful since we had a baby with us. It was very complete with all the necessary cutlery, dishes, microwave/oven and even a blender! They also provided a free portable cot for our use. We also had a pretty good partial view of the mountain from our room. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone. The hotel also has a gym and a sauna. There is a swimming pool, but it was closed due to the cold winter weather.
Value for money”
The apartment unit is spacious, fit for group, the staff is very helpful and the facilities are amazing. Enjoy having bbq in the pool side. Definitely will come back if we visit Wanaka again!
Excellent Stay, very true to what was advertised.”
Great resort, staff very welcoming /friendly, showed us to the room, very clean and tidy. Would stay again with out a doubt.
Very pleasant place ”
Loved the hot pool :) Handy location from the lake
They told me they are serving breakfast until 10am, and I called restaurant at 9:25am to order breakfast, but staff told me that restaurant was now no longer serving breakfast and that restaurant stayed closed until 5pm, so I needed to go elsewhere to get some food. Walls are thin, so can expect some sound from next door, especially when staff makes up room, then it's lots of slamming with doors and much noise.
Excellent accommodation very close to centre Reception on arrival could not have been better. Spent time showing us where we could go , booked our trip to Milton sound and advised about cinema showing of film of area
Good place to stay”
Had a 2 bedroom apartment for four adults. Very nice and well appointed. A bit of a walk into town but not too bad. The only gripe, having to pay for Wifi. This should just be included in room charge. Anywhere in Asia you get free Wifi, why not here in NZ?
We can't see the lake from the hotel as it wasn't located near the lake, but it was just a short drive to the lake so it was alright with us. Room was well furnished, we really enjoy the sauna. The staff by the name of Mallory was very nice to us, she recommended a few activities to us and provided us the contacts to rent the ski equipments and registration. We had so much fun at Wanaka.
Great Accom After Skiing”
Good location about 1 klm from the centre of Wanaka. Hot Tub brilliant after skiing. Room design and cleanliness excellent. Wasn't real fussed on trying to be signed up to their frequent user program half hour after arrival.
A pleasant stay in Paradise”
It was a pleasant and quiet place to stay, in a beautiful part of the world. My only reservation was that there was no airconditioning in the units. There was a desk fan bolted to the waqll but these were far too noisy to run. It was the height of the summer and the temperature at night was very uncomfortable, and you couldn't possibly sleep. Other than that, it was very relaxing.
Great Staff. Nice resort”
Staff was very friendly and attentive. Great location, walking distance to the lake front and dining area. Only bad thing was the internet service ($6 per hour for one device and must be used continuously).
Lovely quiet hotel with a large room and hot pool”
Very nice hotel. We had a large room even though it was a studio. It was very clean. Staff were friendly. Good tv with many channels. The hot pool was fantastic and very warm considering it had been almost snowing the day we were there. Quiet rooms and just a short drive to the town or a 10min walk. Even a nice little kitchenette with all utensils and microwave and fridge.
Clean, comfortable, friendly”
We were greeted in a very friendly and professional way by the two women at the front desk. One of them personally walked us to our room which was very nice. There were plates, forks, knives and all kinds of utensils for cooking in the room although there was just a microwave and no stove so cooking in a microwave was a bit limiting. There was also a fridge which was nice. We did not use the pool and hot tub but they were available. We had a nice walk to the village and back; it's more than a mile or two even, but it is a very nice walk. Lots of nice houses to look at and beautiful mountain and lake views.
Nice place but be prepared for marketing pressure”
Stay was fine. Room was nice and spacious. They didnt change our towels the first night. Freindly staff but felt really harassed by the marketing people trying to sell timeshares to us during our stay. Didnt really have time as we were there for a holiday and not for hte seminars but they did make it awkward to say not interested to them. Otherwise was okay.
Nice stay. Nice addition to Wyndham's”
I have been to few Wyndham's and finding one at Wanaka was a nice surprise, much like the small resort town of Wanaka itself, its like a hidden treasure . The rooms were spacious, well managed and clean. The rooms were equipped with everything that one can imagine that is requiruired for a stay. The staff was outstanding . Special mention to the lady at the front desk and the bartender - Bruno (if I recollect his name correctly). They are knowledgeable about the place and take a lot of pride in the work that theydo & the city that they represent. The bar didnt have meny options but for what they offer, they do it well. I had a vegetarian pizza along with my drinks and it was fantastic. Its a pity that I took Wanaka as a stopover and could not spend more than a day here. But If I would ever come to this town again, there is no doubt in my mind that I am heading to Wyndham.
we stayed for a couple of nights here and thought it was very nice. the rooms were more like a condo with a big kitchen and living room area. everything was modern and clean. it was a little far from town but we rented their bikes one day and rode to town and beyond on a great trail around the lake. my only complaint was the wi-fi had a fee.
Great Room Greate Service”
The hotel room is very good, large, clean & tidy. The facility is quite new, and bed is comfortable, just the bathroom need a vent. I have called the reception that i will arrived to the hotel at around 9-10 from Mt Cook at 6pm, and eventually i check-in at very late night (10:30pm), and the reception was waiting for me to arrived, i'm really appreciate that.
It was a short but pleasant stay, no complaints. ”
I really liked how clean and organized everything was, and the staff was very friendly.
