GONE DOWNHILL ”
I used to love the place. As cheap as anywhere good, great pool, friendly staff, decent bar area Sadly something has changed! Gym has vanished Bar has vanished The place is plagued with noisey, rude, chinease. Breakfast choice is ok but quality of the food is very lacking. If you want a decent cheapish room of good size, and dont mind being woke up at 5 with loud banging, screaming chinease, or eating breakfast with a bunch of ravenous noisey pigs then you'll be ok.
Same same but more crazy”
Every time i come here the place gets more and more crazy, yet i still keep returning for some reason!!! For the size of the suite room i can complain about the price. Food is ok Too many chinease Gym has been shit down Bar has been shut down Staff are friendly but untrained Pool is good Better places to stay but there are also worse
Beauitful hotel shame about the quests”
The hotel, location, price and staff are amazing. The hoards of noisy Chinese tourist not so much. The buffet breakfast needs an update. If you can request a room away from the noisy bus loads its a great hotel.
Really nice stay”
Fantastic service and the hotel manager. Very helpful and accommodating. Nice big and clean room with a beautiful view. Only the breakfast is not good. There is a lack of good coffee. But I would highly recommend because the price is ok.
Totally value for money!!”
It totally exceed my expectation. Although it is a four star hotel, it's price is reasonable. It has a nice swimming pool. It's breakfast buffet is wonderful and with large variety. Staff are helpful and good in English. Rooms are quiet and big and beds are comfort. The hotel can even arrange tuk tuk drivers. Mine is Mr Lucky (tuk tuk driver no.1) who is honest, punctual and friendly. The hotel is not close to the pub street, but you can take tuk tuk to there in 10 mins costing you us$2-3 only.
Classic colonial style harkens back to the old day”
Everything was good. Lots of Chinese there and maybe that's why the breakfast selection catered to their taste. There was however sufficient choices for my preference for an American breakfast of eggs and toast, etc. Biggest issue at the hotel was very very slow Internet at all times and in all locations. I complained a couple times. Was trying to make some online flight reservations and had to give up and go to a cafe to use their connection. No excuse for that these days. Could get by with it for email, facebook but online booking requires more speed and better response. Loved the very large and deep swimming pool in a very nice setting.
impressive old hotel”
The swimming pool is huge and really nice, most people are visiting the temples in the day so it stays quiet. Hotel is dated but in great condition and adds to its character, staff very friendly, breakfast not very westernised but still have an egg station, toast, fruit and cereal so you'll still be able to fill up in the morning! Short taxi ride to pub street /night market for $5
Very cosy and spacious hotel”
The hotel though old is very clean. The lobby may not look like much but the room is really big. It is very spacious and comfortable, same goes for the bathroom. Only complaint is the aircon is too cold even when I set the thermo at 26 degrees, I was still shivering under the blanket. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. But the hotel is a short distance away from Angkor Wat, about 20 mins by car.
It was relaxing even with the hot weather. ”
it was very relaxing the staff are attentive but speak little english thus there's lots of miscommunication with tours and sched. the internet was very fast, but the food was not good (but there are a lot of restaurants nearby) we tried the massage its okay but not the best. love the free airport transfer but was disappointent when we found out we have to pay on our way back.
Lovely quiet hotel”
I had a comfortable stay in Ree Hotel. The room is spacious and the bed is cosy. Breakfast is pretty good too and it has a lovely pool. For those who likes to stay near the busy city, Ree Hotel is not recommended as you will need to get a tuk tuk to travel there. This wasn't an issue for me as tuk tuk is easily obtainable. The water heater can be a problem at times but other than that, I don't have any other bad experience.
Very nice hotel”
A nice hotel with big roms. Service isn't like european service, but it was correctly. The hotel is a bit far from center town, but it is not inconvinient. You can go with a tuk tuk for 3 american dolars.
Beautiful hotel with great staff. Very clean rooms”
If you do not want your room touched by staff, place the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and inform the front desk. The hotel has a policy to clean rooms after 2pm regardless of signs on doors. The breakfast is basic but the food is fresh and always restocked.
nice clean comfortable hotel”
this hotel was great. it had everything you need and even has it's own swimming pool. the room and toilet were clean. the room was big and comfortable. the only problem is the hotel is pretty far. but there are alot of cheap transportation around so getting to anywhere is kinda easy. free breakfast too and alot of choices to choose from.
Beautiful large hotel”
Hotel is in a lovely location. Beautiful colour outside when arriving and inside with large staircase leading to fourth floors. The steps at the bottom because it opens like a fan and it can be dangerous if not careful. Each room has bacolony and aircondition. Staff are very helpful and friendly. U can even rent swim wear from the hotel.Buffet is available from 5.30am till 9.30am. The selection is large with all sorts of food and drinks.
Rustic and enchanting hotel”
we chose this hotel because of the good price and the nice reviews and we were not disappointed. upon arrival we were ushered into our room, and to our delight it was a huge room with a reception area and balcony. water was refilled everyday (4 bottles). breakfast was fairly standard. good for asians but could use some improvement for non-asian guests. wish they served cheese! over-all we were very impressed with the hotel, will recommend it to friends and will strongly consider staying here again if ever we will visit siem reap again!
it was a real pleasure for us. the rooms provided was real awasome & so was the services. breakfast though was good but the spread was not elaborate. over all the experience was real good for me & family.
great hotel very near the temples”
the room was ok except for a quite old toilet. the best feature of the hotel is the great customer service to which when our driver didn't show up as agreed, the staffs took the initiative to call our driver, which upon confirmation that he isn't coming to pick us up, they took the initiative to call a tuk tuk for us, worried that we will be late for our flight.
Excellent service with great amenities ”
i was amazed at the level of service at the ree. the entire staff were very helpful and most understood english. they have an awesome breakfast that you should definitely add to your package. they mix up the menu for breakfast so you don't get bored of the meals. whether we were returning from a long day at angkor wat or relaxing poolside, the hotel was our perfect destination.
Great value for Money with good staff ”
very happy stay with family. swimming pool is good but just run till 8pm. tourists come over for angkor wat not for swimming, so they are sure to spend time in the day not at hotel. i recommed the pool will be provided late at night!
A great Hotel with clean rooms and great service”
despite having chosen this hotel at random, i was pleasantly surprised. the rooms are quite large. very clean, as are the bathrooms. rooms aremade up every day and fresh bottles of water kept. the tv programs have a few english channels so you can get your news regularly. if you hire a tuk-tuk for the day (approx 12 - 15 dollars) they will take you to all the temples. you need about 2 to 3 days to see all the temples.dont try and doo all too quickly as the heat and humidity will get to you. downtown the main drag is pub street.lots of eating places. we followed peoples advice on the blogs and ate at khmer kitchen. food was great. the masssages are not as good as in thailand. the hotel spa has a discounted massage service, but we were not impressed.
