Madhya Pradesh State hotels & places to stay

Spent 4 comfortable nights in this privately owned property. The maintenance is top of the line unlike some other state owned ones. Kids would have a nice time in the activities organized by the resort which includes Magic shows,biking,cricket,etc. We enjoyed the gypsy drives to the various places of interest in and around pachmarhi. Strongly recommend visitors this option as roads are pretty rough to some of the spots. The property is overseen by the owner who is constantly taking care of your interests. Don't miss out on the your itinerary which can be done in 3-4 days. Overall ,highly recommend this property to all those seeking high quality stay worth the money.

Pros: quiet location next to monuments. Really sweet and helpful staff speaking very good English thrououghout reception, restaurant and housekeeping.. Nice pool although a bit too cold at the time of the year to have a longer swim for most. Cons: the hotel is coming with all the luxury trimmings (porter, live music performance etc.) but mattresses are on the typical hard Indian side means not that luxurious sleep. The quality of breakfast served was laughable as for a luxury hotel as much as very limited choice both Indian and Western options. Waiters do their best to please guests nevertheless. Toilets accessible from the main patio are luxurious neither (warn and tatty)

From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, this place impressed! First, IT IS A TREEHOUSE IN A TIGER RESERVE!!! The room is huge, and with only five rooms at the resort, they are all well-spaced out. Big windows allow you to see the stars from your canopied bed. The bathroom even has a giant sliding wooden door that almost gives you the feel of an outdoor shower! All water is purified and treated, so I felt safe brushing my teeth and drinking, and dd not have to waste any more plastic bottles. The room price covers all meals, and you will NOT go hungry here! Biscuits and chai before the safaris. Sandwiches on the safari, breakfast when you return, lunch before the afternoon safari, snacks (good ones like samosas, grilled chicken, etc) by the fire with other guests before dinner, and dinner. Portions are not too big...just perfect. The manager Ashish, driver and tiger guide Karan, and our waiter Rajesh stood out. I got sick at a resort in Orchha, and they did everything possible to make me more comfortable, including sending someone over 5 miles by bicycle each way to a pharmacy. No charge! No resort can control the Tigers, of course, but the Rangers can share intel about their whereabouts with whom they choose, and Karan seems to be well liked by the park staff. We ultimately saw 4 Tigers in 4 safaris, three of which were quite close. Incredible! This was a very expensive property, especially by Indian standards. Nobody does luxury like the Indians, though, and this was an unforgettable experience. Be sure to stay long enough to just enjoy your room and the dining tree, stay several nights to have the experience of dining by lamplight in the forest if the resort is not full, and let Rajesh, Ashish, Karan and the other staff here spoil you.

Our stay was really wonderful.V enjoyed every bit of it.The best thing v enjoyed was Diwali Celebrations.Their concern for the guests, who were away from home on this festival,really touched me.V also enjoyed Kathputli show. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

The hotel has an excellent location with most attractions being quite nearby. Some rooms have an attractive view of the fort. However, be aware that their standard rooms (so-called delux) are very cramped with barely enough room to move around the bed. We were upgraded to an executive room which had more space (and a view of the fort), but was still a bit cramped. Ola taxis are available, and because we didn't have the Ola app, one of the hotel staff was kind enough to call an Ola taxi for us (for which we could pay in cash). The restaurant food was generally good. I suspect that other hotels, with more spacious rooms, are available in this price range, but I recommend this hotel because of the extreme helpfulness of the staff.

I have travelled around the world to more than 60 countries and have rarely come across a hotel like Abika Elite which shows such sensitivity to guests and their needs. The hotel is impeccably clean, sparkling, spotless. At breakfast the staff go out of the way to help . The Reception is receptive. And the manager himself comes up to answer a query for you if you have one. Now for the revealing moment: I was sick when I checked in, and within an hour my condition got worse and I could not even stand . I was shivering (it had rained) and thought it could be malaria. I called reception. They offered to take me to a doctor in the hotel car, but seeing my condition got a doctor to my room! Hotel staff brought me medicines. The next day cleaning staff did not come to my room to not wake me up. When I was up they enquired about my condition. The young manager Aditya Jhalani himself inquired about me and told staff to take care. Exceptional kindness was shown throughout. Touching! Thank you

The place has got some good vibes!! real good vibes. When you enter the place it makes you feel warm and welcomed. beautiful people at service. they work with their heart and soul. The property is so organically designed that you can get lost into the beautiful meandering pathways which leads you to one beautiful gazebo point which makes you feel the inner beauty of yourself and the beauty of the place. It a place where you can sit back and do nothing but have the best time with yourself and your soul mates. A great place to be and a wonderful place to experience.

A comfortable paradise with a pond , a lovely pool for a swim in the hot afternoon when there is no safari . Courteous if not joyful and helpful staff . Arranged my safari's efficiently . Lobby decorated with antiques from old palaces . Early morning tea before safari in lobby and in garden after safari . Delicious food . Soothing massage in spa . A delightful stay all round . Do check that your duvet cover has been changed though .

I visited the property for a weekend and let me assure you that this is the place to visit if you want to relax and take some time out from your busy schedule. The location is to die for as it is situated on the riverside with waters easily accessible. They serve all the three meals and the food is really amazing. The rooms are huge with a large balcony from where you can see the sunset. Rooms even have a private terrace offering great views of the landscape. The staff is extremely courteous and they strive to fulfil all your wishes. The property even has a library with books on wildlife. To sum it up, a great escape from the busy city lives and a heaven for nature enthusiasts.

When you book a holiday you invest time and money for an experience that will relax & rejuvenate you. Unfortunately Tuli Tiger Corridor was a far from happy experience. When I first arrived with two other friends at the resort we were very happy with the look of the property and our warm welcome. The USP of the place is it's quiet atmosphere. The sit out is nice, the pool area welcoming and the bathrooms a luxury. Food is average but the staff were very courteous so we had no complaints. Then why am I disappointed? Because my phone got stolen! I left my phone on the bed in my room when I went for my safari. Only people to enter in our absence was housekeeping. When I reported my missing phone 15 mins after coming back from safari the reaction of the management was incompetent and unprofessional. All they did was "pretend". Most importantly not one apology did I hear from anyone. No offer for re compensation. Only action? FIR 2 days after phone was stolen. What more can I say?

The architecture of the hotel is really wonderful, no matter in day light or night. The location of this hotel is also very good. It only takes 10~15 minutes walk from hotel to Western Temple in Khajuraho. You may have your free breakfast at your room or go to their restaurant. The swimming pool didn't work at the time we stayed there. You may also need to be aware of some insects at the night. Overall, this hotel's service is very good.

Everything worked out perfect - great location in an amazing natural surroundig with access to a great National Park, perfectly organized safaris, excellent food, nicely appointed villa with two terraces and a lot of local touches, very well maitained (don't let you deceive by the concrete fassade). The only problem - no cc-payment possible - was solved just in time for our visit,

The gentleman with the jacket that ran the restaurant was so amazingly kind to us, letting us have a packed lunch to go, since we would be leaving too early to get the breakfast that came with the room. We kept trying to decline, confused, and he kept smiling at us and telling us "be happy !" It was before the tourist season properly began, and it was rather cold, so there weren't that many tourists at the hotel, and the room was quite cheap for a Radisson. The lobby fountain looked amazing. The restaurant prices were the usual prices, and the service was generally of the more stuffy upscale sort, so while we saved on the room, the food was rather pricey. The laundry service was kind of expensive, the amenities featured included a free pool, but to use the sauna or spa, one had to book a package deal with the coordinator, and that wasn't very cheap either. Very recommended for a discount stay if it's offered, and quite pleasant if you can afford it.

In rainy season expected some arrangement to receive guest without getting drench. All indoor games keep available. Apart from this awesome experience of resort. Really for family.. Kitchen staff, service staff, admin staff all are so cooperative and happy to attend you and give you best experience

Shubh Inn is a good property, it is value for money. the set up is fresh and rooms are tidy and well equipped. one feels happy while entering the room. small glitches, Not so well designed though. the Switch for AC is fitted very high on the wall, difficult to manage. the Towels are kept outside the shower area. the reception staff is sitting on torn chairs, not a good impression. not good to save money at wrong places. the outside of the hotel is little rough, the management should think of cleaning up a little bit. the entry ramp for vehicles is very badly made. the hotel staff also needs a little more training though. having said that, its a good stay, centre of the city and you cam also afford bringing in your family here.

Beautifully maintained property. All staff are courteous & extremely helpful. Food here is excellent. Very peaceful & serene beauty from the balcony and all around the hotel. Not far from Ujjain so you don’t feel that you are away from the city of Ujjain.

Decent hotel build behind main road buildings so is quiet despite busy traffic. Clean and comfortable beds, decent buffet breakfast

Very pleasant stay. The staf was very helpful and prompt in providing any services. Clean and well maintained rooms. Would definitely recommend to anybody travelling to gwalior.

I wonder why you guys give it rating of 4.7/5, it's totally misguiding for people who are new to that place As for me I paid some 4400inr for just 1night n two rooms. But the hotel, it's more of a lodge and rooms are very untidy with stuffy smell. Even spending one night was tough. It's not all value for money at all as they way too much for those rooms. The only positive thing is distance is distance from temple.

My stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience thanks to the warmth and courtesy of the team. The team was very attentive to my requirements & ever ready to help me out and make me comfortable at the Hotel. They had their slip ups but they more than made up with their excellent service

Beautiful new hotel! Upper floor was not finished yet which didn't bother me. Delicious meals, spacious rooms, quiet location. Close to the Temples and to the airport. Owner of the hotel available to arrange transportation for you and recommend what to see in town. Good energy in the hotel and the whole town. I recommended it to my friends.

Everything went smoothly starting from airport pickup by courteous drivers and a speedy check-in. Hotel staff was friendly and was always willing to assist, and rooms were comfortable. The hotel would do well to place safes in the rooms as well as ironing board/irons - these are really a bare minimum nowadays.

The good stuff - Its close to the western group, the lake and shilpigram. Lovely property, well maintained and courteous staff. The hospitality staff is the best i have seen ( surprised us by decorating our room for our anniversary night ). Rooms are always kept neat and tidy. They provide free gear cycles to get around Khajuraho. Room rates are decent. They have free wifi for 24 hours usage time ( 2 device per room) after which you have select a plan to continue using. We stayed for 3 days and 24hour usage was enough for us for the entire stay ( used around 16h i think ). Food is great, loved the breakfast spread. Excellent service. They even provided us a room to freshen up after we decided to go out for one last visit after checkout. The bad - wifi charges are insane once you are done with the 24hour plan. The travel desk quotes exorbitant price for transportation ( Double that of the normal taxi rates outside the hotel ) The food is tasty but too expensive to justify ( 10k + tax for treehouse dining? ) Some of the cycles offered were in bad shape ( rusted, rickety and badly maintained ) I had to fix one outside midway through my eastern temple visit.

We were there for a wedding and the room was ready for us the moment we arrived. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The serviced apartment/hotel doesn't have an in-house laundry service but they can get it done for you (I got it done on an urgent basis in a couple of hours). The kitchen doesn't have a defined menu which is the best part about it. You can tell the kitchen what you like (Indian food) and they'll prepare it for you. Food is almost as good as home cooked. It was a very comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

It was difficult to locate it. They should put signboards on highways. Staff were polite and service was good.
