Functional and good value ”
Located next to the (higher end) Rembrandt Hotel, the Serviced Apartments are tucked away and a bit hard to find, but quiet and still nicely located. Front desk staff seemed stressed and weren't terribly helpful. The suite was huge, although furniture is rather dated and the kitchen has limited supplies. It was clean and good value for the money. The gym is nicely equipped although needed small towels and/or spray to clean equipment - I find this lacking in many Bangkok hotel gyms. Pool is quite lovely.
Towers apartments are nice”
And are usually offered at a very good price. For the money you get alot of value. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The floor was also very quiet and as requested, smoke free, at least while I was there. There is a nice swimming pool on the 11th floor, towels and lounge chairs available. The towers are accessed from Soi 20. The hotel of the same name is accessed from Soi 18. After staying here 3 or 4 times, I finally learned you exit the Towers lobby, turn left and walk along the parking ramp driveway, end up in front of the R Hotel. Now you are on Soi 18, walk to Sukhumvit Rd. See the footbridge to get you to the other side, MRT, Soi Cowboy, Terminal 21. Or go left when you get on Sukhumvit, You'll see the Asoke BTS stairs. or keep walking toward Landmark hotel, Nana.
Well maintained property”
And excellent location off Sukhumvit Rd. I booked a studio room that's similar to a nice sized standard hotel room. But you get more included like a full size fridge, microwave, dishes, silverware, cutting board. Also included is free wireless that varies in signal strength. Had to often use my own cellular for data. The bathroom is large with a tub and shower combination. Closet and drawer space was abundant, in room safe in the closet. Big screen flat TV was challenging to operate via the remote. The bed in this room was large, like queen sized with comfortable sheets and pillows. I was able to choose a higher floor in a non smoking section which I appreciated.
One night stay in BKK”
Overall the suite was nice, albeit not the newest outfit still in good condition. The hot water took a little long to get to but once it runs it's fine. Unfortunately I was not able to use all the facilities on offer as I only stayed one night.
I stayed almost a week while working - good, not fantastic WIFI (though the German restaurant downstairs had super fast, free WIFI with no dropping out), kitchenette with microwave, kettle, cooking element, all cutlery and a full-sized fridge. Work desk, wardrobe w ironing board - everything was accounted for, which made it a good executive stay and way more than expected for the price. View of other buildings, nice bathroom with bath. Amenities refreshed daily, plus water. Flatscreen TV and movie channels. For shopping, avoid the quikie-mart downstairs and walk to the Family Mart 100 metes away on soi 20, it has much cheaper stuff and more range. The Wine Connection on the corner also has good, inexpensive wines and cheese. Great location, as you can cut through to soi 18 and be at Asoke junction MRT and Skytrain, in a 10-minute walk.
comfortable stay, pleasant staff, great location.”
i had a great time in bkk..good to catch up with friends. the hotel was just what i needed.. i am a frequent visitor to the area as its close to everything i need.. good food, night life, BTS, shopping
Old but comfortable room. Nice pool”
I think I got an upgrade as one room was bigger. Both rooms have bathtub. Staff asked for my credit card for a deposit. They did not check rooms when I checked out. Felt good as they know we never want to take things from rooms. Free 2 bottles of water daily. A big apartment. I went to the wrong wing which was hotel. Good location for shopping and eating. Their shower gel and shampoo smelt good. Room and bed sheet were old but ok.
Old but well maintained hotel”
The hotel room looked old, but well maintained, and had everything you need. The housekeepers were nice and helpful. The location was very convenient and accessible to almost everywhere. Regarding the price, it was a good deal.
Great room at a great rate”
I booked a few days before arriving in BKK and secured a studio at us39. On check-in was upgraded to a 1br apartment which was huge in size. Veyr comfortable, clean room. Staff great. Free wifi. Hotel in a convenient location too. Would definitely stay again.
Very good hotel with friendly staff”
when i arrived at the hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful as we checked in. although it is a fairly old hotel, we found the rooms very nice, tastefully decorated, big and airy and spotlessly clean. the hotel is in a perfect location and only a short walk to the bts although they do provide a free tuk tuk service. i stay in bangkok frequently, the rembrandt tower is now my preferred choice of bangkok hotels.
Nice location and Very Good Service”
The rooms are very nice and the price is good. It is very close to several nightlife spots and there is a nice convenience store next door (instead of a crazy expensive hotel lobby convenience store). The staff is extremely nice and friendly. I had a problem with my internet access and they immediately sent someone to my room to fix it, and then later sent up a vase with flowers and a note saying they were sorry for the inconvenience. I will always stay here when I travel to Bangkok.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this place. My studio room was of a high standard and had an excellent view. The pool is on the 11th floor so I would ask for a room above this. The only slight negative was that the room was a little dusty when I checked in but this was quickly remedied. There was a decent gym. I didn't use the pool or sauna.
This is by far the best Apartment that we have ever stayed during our holidays. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The Tuk-Tuk services to the train station and to Emporium shopping centre are very helpful. Our unit was cleaned and the amenities were replenished on daily basis. Will stay again we we visit Bangkok again in the future.
Family room suite is the best for the location”
If you want to be central to shops, services, etc and you need 2 bedrooms so the kids can be at one end and you the other, you can't go past it. Exactly as in the photos. Plenty of room and a kitchenette and dining table and lounge. Great value. Staff always say hello & goodbye as you enter & exit too.
OK for the money”
All good - Just some smoking smell in room.
See my other review, All Good!”
Great hotel, Great location”
You can't go wrong with this hotel. Great restuarants, great location, helpful staff.
Greta location, requires modernisation”
The hotel is in a great location close to bars, restaurants and the BTS station. Rooms could do with modernising. They are a little dull but OK. Some rooms I've stayed in have wallpaper pealing off or the paint needs a new coat. I have been upgraded to a suit on some occasions, which have quite a large dining and kitchen area, so if you do get brave, ask for a free upgrade. I would say I have had one 50% of the time, so definitely worth the ask. Pool area is good with lots of sunshine and shaded areas with towels provided. I've not tried food here so I can't comment on that. For the money, around £40- £60 (1700Baht - 2600 Baht) depending on time of year it's a good hotel, but there are hotels next door or very close for similar money and better value and more upmarket. Worth shopping around first. Having said that, it's not a bad hotel. Most people just want a comfortable bed for the night close to all the facilities, so this will do you just fine.
Could do with an update on the decor but great location. Worth the stay”
Great location, friendly staff and decent pool area with access to the Rembrandt Hotel pool next door as well. The rooms could do with a bit of modernisation, but not unpleasant. This is close to all the bars on Soi 18/20/22 and the BTS is also close by for those wanting to explore Bangkok more. Nana Plaza and the famous beer garden are a 15 minute walk or 2 minutes on the BTS. Worth staying if you get a good deal. I paid £60 but friends have had deals for less. Any more than £60 and it's not worth it unless you get a suite for that price.
Very Relaxed Evvironment”
The property is aging however very comfortable with large guest rooms and in a good location. The pool area is located on the 11th floor in a very tranquil, setting -a great place to relax. A short walk to the BTS Sky Train - Asok Station. Many independent restaurants located just outside the property in soi 18amd soi 20. We experienced a piety enjoyable stay - good value for money.
