This small budget hotel tucked away from the busy main road features reasonably priced cottages centering around a pretty swimming pool. The Sativa Sanur Cottages Hotel is located at the very end of a quiet driveway, giving its guests added privacy from the busy main road. A good choice of restaurants and bars are located on the driveway, just a short walk from the hotel. The center of Sanur, where there are more choices of eateries and shopping places, is a short walk from the Sativa. Sanur Beach itself can be seen from the top floor balconies of the cottages and is only a short stroll from the hotel. Its secluded location makes the Sativa a suitable accommodation for budget travelers in search of a peaceful sanctuary close to the beach and other amenities. Very reasonably priced hotel in Sanur, the rooms are spacious, the pool is nice with plenty of beds and there is a pool bar. Location is good, on the quieter end of Sanur but there are still plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. My only negative at this hotel was that there was no safe in the room, they do provide one at reception but it’s too inconvenient - for that reason alone I’d be put off staying as I like to keep laptops and passports/cards locked away but everything else is great for the price point.
Travelling with an elder. Perfect location to be in Bali, centralize location; hair salon, shopping, food and drink area nearby. Five star hotel nearby offers awesome dinner and traditional dance. Private tour can be easily arranged. We've been to Bali numerous times, and staying different locations and several times in the same area; yet this facility still gives us a pleasant stay. Thank you.
Quiet, Convenient, Pleasant”
We had a nice bright room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast buffet was good and they rotated their selections from day to day. Eggs cooked to order The fruit could have been of higher quality. The staff was friendly, with lots of OJTs there so plenty of service available. The pool had a swim-up bar, and a separate shallow pool for children. There are many good restaurants a short walk away, and the beach was just a short pleasant 5 minute walk. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and found the hotel relaxing. There was a strange "service charge" applied to our bill when we left I believe 10%)--on everything! That wasn't a nice surprise.
Comfortable, clean and fantastic pool”
We stayed here on our way back from Gili T for a night. The kids and I loved the pool and the rooms were adequate. Buffet breakfast was surprisingly good considering the price of accomodation. Staff were extremely accomodating. I would stay here again
home away from home”
stayed often over the last 5 years feel at home. pool is clean and a wonderful place to spend an hour or two but please do not reserve loungers at 8am and expect them to be unoccupied at 11am that is just silly. Breakfast is simple but varied and the staff are a wonderful bunch of people. location is just a short walk to the beach. recommend
Older hotel, but lovely.”
Had a lovely stay here. Great food at the restaurant in the hotel and the one across the road. The pool was being redone while I was there. Looked like it would be really nice when done. We had access to the pool of a nearby hotel, so it was no bother.
great location, a laid back dont, dont lift a finger type hotel and holiday close to everything good about sanur. Staff are lovely and helpful and breakfast is good, banana fritters are divine. Will stay again.
Great to be back at this lovely hotel.”
This time we had just one night in a downstairs room and it definately wasn't as good as the upper ones, being smaller & getting no breeze out on the deck. However, the room was well equipped with a couch & chair, fridge, tea/coffee and tv. Bed was comfortable & the room was well lit, which is a bit of a rarity for Bali. The pool is delightful & the staff did their best to sort out a problem that we had encountered with shopping. The wi fi was frustrating as it kept dropping out but it could have been a problem with our lap top. Hotel is 10mins walk from the beach & right in the middle of restaurants & shops. A short bemo ride & a 20min walk put you right into the middle of Sanur. Definately will be back.
Great place to stay”
A group of 12 people converged on Sativa to celebrate a 70th birthday. They put us all in the lovely big upstairs rooms with views over the delightful pool, after collecting us all from the airport at 1am in the morning, with beaming smiles. Loved the design of the rooms as it gave everyone some privacy. Nice balconies, best designed bath I have come across in Bali and a very nice dining area. Breakfasts were good, with plenty of variety. Sun loungers were at a premium in the morning and could have done with a few more sun umbrellas. Beach was 5 mins walk & heaps of hotels, shopping tour offices around the hotel. Easy to get a bemo into the centre of Sanur if desired. The supermarket was a 20 min walk or 5 mins in a bemo. Loved the "Bali" feel to the place & will definately go back.
There were 12 of us, in 6 rooms, to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. They gave us the rooms we requested, offered to organise a surprise for the birthday, provided lovely breakfasts and were great keeping everything cleaned & up to scratch, even with the hotel full. It was a short walk to the beach and everything else you could possibly want. Loved the big rooms & the big bath. Also loved not having a list of don't do"s. The only drawback was the lack of sunlunger's & umbrellas.
Very attractive hotel, lovely staff and pool.”
Sativa never fails to please. Rooms are spacious and clean and the pool is just fabulous. It is an excellent location in southern Sanur with many great restaurants nearby.Beach is an easy 10 minute walk.
Quiet hotel in the middle of Sanur's shopping area”
We stayed at Sativa for one night for early flights the next day. The resort's staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They attended to our needs immediately. The room we stayed in was large and clean and had a little patio. Would have been better if the patio had a ceiling fan though but was nice to sit amongst the plants, overlooking the pool. Sativa is conveniently located by the shopping area and restaurants. But don't worry, you don't hear the business of the streets at all. I would recommend this hotel for a night or two.
Big rooms, friendly staff”
We booked this hotel after staying in another hotel full on noisy Asian guests and it really was a peaceful place to relax. Guests were mainly European, most of them from Holland. There really is nothing to complain. Everything worked well. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and I would definitely come back if I ever traveled to Bali again.
Relaxing and well located”
Had a wonderful stay. Kids in an upstairs room, wife & I down stairs with a large covered deck area with outdoor bed which we used often when not in pool. Sativa is 50 metres down a lane off the main drag making it quieter than other hotels. The main road has great restaurants including "Tropica" and many others. Our girls loved the delicious gelati on offer at many restaurants. You'll be offered "transport" by every second local. When you eventually agree, I suggest a trip up to Ubud via the craft twons and lunch at a buffet restaurant at Kintamani overlooking the volcano of Mt Batur.
A good find in the middel of sanur with playfully situated bungalows around a beautiful pool. Fantastic breakfast and friendly staff, well organised and well looked after hotel. Some moulding in the bathrooms, but generally fine. Location is close to many restaurants, main street, but quit a walk to the beach. Library is well stocked for readers. good stay !
Nice staff, good pricing on food/massage”
The pool was nice and the food was cheap! There's a supermarket right at the entrance so it was very convenient. We had a great time with our 2 year old, who enjoyed the kid's pool all day long. There is a list of movie in your room. You call the reception to request to play a movie to watch it in your room. It's like a manual version of Netflix.
2nd time here & not the last!”
Perfect location for bars , restaurants & beach. Large supermarket a minute's walk. The rooms are a good size and comfortable but a little maintenance is required (flaking paint, limescale on showerhead etc) The pool area is really nice & comfortable and the restaurant serves a nice breakfast (ask them to fry the boiled sausages which are served alternate days to the bacon & they are much more appetizing!) We had some very good lunches & dinners at a reasonable price. The staff are lovely.
Lovely boutique hotel with great staff, close to beach, supermarket, restaurants. Pool is ideal”
2nd year we have stayed here & we will be back next year! Really have no complaints since the rooms, pool, restaurant, bar area are good. I think they need to do a bit of maintenance on the rooms (flaking paint, old shower heads, scuff marks on walls) but very good value compared to expensive hotels nearby
sativa sanur cottage is a nice place to stay on mainland Bali”
Nice location nar to market. you get everything in the radius of 100 m example, food, accessoeries, consumables. place is quite, no outside noise. Manager and staff is good and co-operative. Rooms are clean and neat. Bathrooms are clean and pleasant. restaurant food is of good test. they provide list of 50 english movies, from which we chose some good movies and enjoyed being at room during our rest day.
Good as always .”
It's a great little resort in a good position. Beach is an easy 10min walk to the main promenade. This is a great stop of 3-4 days before you move onto Ubud or elsewhere. brekky is good, rooms are fine. I'm a fan of traditional Bali rather than name brands ! Worth a stay, you won't be disappointed. This was my 4th stay and will stop over again.
