Comfortable, clean, attentive, ...”
Because the location is at the end of Inle Lake, so when traveling somewhere you spend a little cost, but the resort is quite clean, the staff is very enthusiastic. I will come back later when I have a chance to visit Inle Lake again on the weekend
Dear THI, Thank you for sharing your experience of your stay with us and thanks for the rating. We truly appreciate your compliment to our staff. As you said we hope to see you again. Sincerely yours, Sales Team
Good: frendly hotel staff, nice room. Bad: very NOISY. I can’t sleep. I choose to stay at the resort because i want to have a quiet space. But no. The boat goes around too much. So angry. The foods is not good. Don’t take the tour or airport transfer from resort. Too expensive. Airport transfer from hotel is 35$. But i did 15000kyat from heho airport to NyaungShwe by car. And 12000kyat from NyaungShwe to resort by boat. Really easy to do it. I took a tour inle lake at resort 25$/boat for 4 hours, and 14$ for return city. after that, when i come back city and stay at Inle Cottage Boutique Hotel, they sale the tour inle lake is 20000kyat/ boat for a day (from 8am to 5pm). Angry angry. Nice room, nice hotel staff but i never come back again.
Dear Mai, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent visit at our hotel and please accept our sincerest apologies for the disturbance you have experienced during your stay due to boat noise. As you know our hotel was built in the middle of the water and we do provide earplugs to reduce boat noise and accessible only by boat. We thank you if you understand for using a boat is a kind of local people career. The boat goes around too much is might be for the very first time celebrating Floating Water Festival at Inle Lake. Airport transfer from Heho to Hotel 35$ is the normal price, during the festival hire price is more expensive. You said 15000kyats from Heho airport to Nyaungshwe is possible but is not tour car, not the same facilities, no air-conditioner, no smart driver. For the rest assured that we view your feedback seriously and necessary actions have been taken for further enhancement. Sincerely yours, Sales Team
Mostly awesome with a few caviats ”
We enjoyed this place but you have to know what you’re getting into. We visited during the off-season so there were very few other guests and the price was awesome. We enjoyed the weather. It rained a little every day and the temps were coolish. Pros: it’s a water bungalow, the staff is amazing, the food is great (get the stuffed lake fish), happy hour is good, the property is very nice, albeit a little dated. The rooms have a bathtub and outdoor shower. They can charge your card for anything you order through the hotel. Cons: you’re isolated and need a boat to go anywhere. The boats, food, drinks, tours, etc all cost more if book through the resort. The tours they book are kind of a shopping spree. The mattresses need replacing like yesterday. Agoda said the property was newly renovated. This isnt true. The renovation is ongoing and due to this the pool wasn’t always usable. Overall we enjoyed our stay but if you’re looking for night life or more to do, I’d stay in Nyangshwea.
Good hotel, expensive transportation ”
Great boutique hotel in the middle of Inle Lake. Very friendly and accommodating service and good food. BUT plan to bring some money for all the hidden fees. As a solo traveler, I paid 25,000 to taxi from the airport to the port, 15,000 for the ferry from the port to the hotel, 15,000 for the ferry and 20,000 for the taxi back. That doesn’t include the 10,500 tourist fee, or a boat tour (20,000) which the port company pushes very, very hard.
The hotel is located in the south area of the lake. It takes a good hour by boat to get there but it's a good ride to start discovering the rate. It's the perfect place to relax and immerse into a quite atmosphere. Amazing sunrises and sunset straight from my guest room. The only inconvenience is that in the evening you have no other dining choice and it's not easy to reach the hiking/biking trails. Reccomended
Noisy but rather special”
The cabins are comfortable and well-appointed, and being actually on the lake on stilts just as the houses in the nearby villages are makes it quite special. There is constant racket from the boats passing, but surprisingly we grew quickly accustomed to the background noise. The food is very indifferent so it is recommended to eat elsewhere at lunch, the only meal it is really practical to avoid at the hotel
Great hotel layout”
The best part is the layout . It's all on the water with bungalows. Pleasant to walk around. At night you can see a pagoda in the background. Very close to monastery. It is a bit noisy at times during the day as some boats pass in the background. Food was 10+. Really good. The staff members forgot to prepare a takeaway breakfast for us but it happens. Some pidgeos made a nest in our family suite and it was a bit smelly on the verandah. The floor was also noisy. The hotel is far away from the airport more than 1 hour drive and boat. All in all very happy with the hotel. Decent prices for spa and massage.
the hotel is very nice., staff is super friendly. After long days of travelling around, i slept like a baby -- and did not notice the noise issues other reviewers mentioned. other people in my group did notice them though. location (at the extreme south rim of the lake) is quite far from everywhere (1h by boat to other hotels for dinner for instance, as we didn't want to keep eating dinner at the same place each night, and boatmen didn't understandably want to operate in pitchdark on the lake). Something that I didn't consider when I booked. Next time, I will probably go for a place mid-Lake. Food at breakfast and dinner is not the best I had.
Great hotel with a great staff in great location”
The hotel is great because it's on the lake with nice views and you get to see the daily life's of the local people driving around on their boat's. This creates a wonderful atmosphere which makes Inle Lake a very unique experience. I haven't seen another place like this in my travels around South East Asia. Then you add in the wonderful staff and the very friendly locals is just a bonus. I wouldn't call this a con but when you stay here your in the middle of the lake . So you might have to eat at the hotel restaurant more than than I would of liked. Although the food was good and staff is friendly and well trained. Personally I just like to try many restaurants on my travels. I will stay here again on my next visit to Inle Lake.
Sleeping on the water”
Unique about the Shwe Inn Tha Floating hotel is that you cannot exit or enter it other then by boat (unless you are a really good swimmer). This makes this hotel the perfect retreat for solo travelers in Myanmar who want to escape from the world and have a quite night below the stars and above the water.
A nice resort at a noisy part of the lake”
I am really sad to say, that I wouldn't recommend this place. Stayed 2 nights Dec 2018. It is a nice resort, clean and with big villas and a wonderful view. Staff is nice and sweet like all the people in Myanmar are! But for us as a family it was way too loud. It could be a romantic and relaxing place but the long boats with their noisy engines drove us crazy after a while. We were not able to sit on our lovely porch because it was like sitting at a longboat highway where one boat after another rattles along. It started in the morning at 5 am and finally stopped at 7pm. Usually you are sitting yourselves in a boat like that and exploring the lake but we stayed the half day when we arrived at the resort and listend patiently to this annoying sound hoping it would stop at some time. The Resort is aware of this, as they provide ear plugs on your nightstand. The food is okay-ish, the restaurant is set up for many people because bigger groups seem to book this location.
Ive now stayed at three hotels in Inlay over the years. All have been "floating" hotels on stilts. All with private bungalows. The other two, the Ann Heritage Lodge and the Sky Lake were solid choices with great rooms and great service. I liked the Shwe Inn Tha the best. The rooms were big and new. The service was excellent. It was low key and pleasant. The location was great. My favorite that I've seen.
Beautifiul sunrise view ”
Resort is located on the good side of the lake and near to the tourist attraction spots. They provided the boat tour with English speaking guide. Staff is good, helpful & English Speaking. You can stay & relax in the resort.
Nice place to relax”
The resort placed in a very quiet place so it will be nice for couples or group travel who enjoy having their own places. Staffs here are very friendly and kind. The restaurant has local food as well as Western food but in my opinion, even Western food are cooked in a local way so it is a little bit different.
Floating resort ”
The property is nicely maintained.. Clean and hygienic.. Property is quite near to the waterway thus quite noisy from 6am to 6pm due to the boat engine noise. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Good place to live in...
Dear Sir/Madam, We thanks so much for taking time and review us. Hope you to understand, our resort was built in the middle of the water and, only accessible by boat. We are looking forward to welcoming you again. Sincerely yours, SIT
An amazing experience- Life on the Lake!”
My husband, son and I stayed here for 4 nights in October (just before the peak season) and were really pleased we booked to stay on the lake. The hotel was about 1 hour from Nyaung Shwe and only accessible by long boat so each day we got to see what daily life was like for the locals whilst enjoying the comforts of the hotel. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful and the restaurant had an extensive menu to cater for all. The bartender was fab and made some great cocktails too. Our bungalows were spacious and the additional outdoor shower was a great experience. Not having a tv in the room allowed to spend time together playing games and talking which I personally loved; although the wifi was much better than I expected. There is a lot of noise from the longboats as they go past (hotel provide earplugs) but we didn't use them as it just added to the experience. I would definitely recommend staying at Shwe Inn Tha to make your trip to Inle Lake a memorable one!
Dear Nish, We thanks so much for sharing your experience to other and really glad to hear that you had a great time during your stay at our Resort. We thanks again for your positive thinking. Hope to meet you again. Yours sincerely, SIT
Perfect hotel for Inle Sunrise”
Travelling to Inle Lake early morning after a long overnight bus trip, the hotel is nice enough to allowed us check in at 8am! We got the room No. 104, perfect room for sunrise view by the lake! There is a outdoor rain forest shower, which is superb! The room comes with a very good balcony, although there is a lot of notice or comment on the noise of boat, but we did not find it a problem. The hotel is clean, the staff are all very nice! Thumbs up and definitely a five star stay if you want a peaceful stay on the lake!
Meet the request of the guests”
i request birthday cake and room decoration, all they do it for me is F.O.C very thanks all the staff and very polite and friendly nice view for sunrise and sunset best recommended
