Overall a good stay except room a bit old ”
Overall we are happy with the stay however priced are higher than what my sis paid to Accor club directly which even come with a bf everyday. Apart of that, we have no complaint about the tidiness, location and staff performance. However overall the room deco a bit old and no sound prove as we can hear a lots of guest chit-chatting outside even early of the day around 3 to 4am when many guest start to wake up for sunrise tour preparation. Hotel will turn on music along the corridor and didn't adjust the volume even up till mid night which can be quite annoying.
Except Sound prove overall a happy stay”

Excellent as always”
Another fabulous stay at this superb resort hotel, situated on the edge of Siem Reap amidst beautiful grounds. Everything about this hotel is first class, the staff are brilliantly trained and charming, the food is terrific, the rooms are exquisite and supremely comfortable and the pool environment is as good as any. I stayed for nine days and enjoyed every minute.
Natural, vintage, ppl are nice ”
I highly recommend this hotel! Spa nice. Swimming pool nice, the room, bed let me have a good sleep. And you have to try the breakfast buffet! Many kind of goods and delicous. the only one thing was a day afternoon, the bath doens;t work. The staff said whole hotel water supply are under maintance.
I have stayed here since the original opening some fourteen years ago, not much has changed except it gets better somehow. The setting is amazing, the staff are wonderful, the rooms comfortable and Siem Reap is buzzing like never before. Twenty minute ride from the airport, fifteen minutes from the temples. It's not cheap but worth every penny.
Great hospitality with excellent service”
It was love at the first sight when we step into the lobby. From the lovely lady who greeted us to the smell of the lemon grass, the hotel have everything that we wanted. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was equipped with loccitane products. The service was excellent and we received nice gifts every nite. Definitely a great place to go!
As Excellent as Ever.”
I first stayed here twelve years ago when the Sofitel was completing work to the Lagoon accommodation, it was a terrific hotel then and is even better now ! Situated a five minute ride from the centre of Siem Reap the hotel occupies spacious and verdant grounds well back from the hustle and bustle of the main road. The common parts have been spledidly designed with a comfortable bar, cosy library, business centre and an appealing gift shop. The rooms have stood the test of time remarkably well with a tasteful bathroom and exceedingly comfortable bed, the TV channels are sufficient and the internet works smoothly. The Citadel restaurant offers delicious extensive buffets to suit a wide variety of tastes and the staff service throughout the hotel is exemplary. I commend the predominantly French Management for this efficiently run hotel.
As Good As Ever”
having stayed at the sofitel since it's opening and for many years since, i returned for four nights after a gap of a few years. the hotel is still in excellent condition and as stylish and atmospheric as always though noticeably busy. the service is friendly yet discreet, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable with either a view of the pool or lush gardens. most meals in the main restaurant are buffet and the choice is excellent to suit all tastes.
best staff, best service”
We were there for 3 nights, all the staff in the hotel were super helpful , I would say they have old style of hotel hospitality which you could not find and have those service in most of the hotel now. I love Sofitel Siem Reap so much , everything about this hotel just so great! We had best of best in the world Pad Thai for dinner, had nice massage in the spa, the assistant front office manager Bunsak is so professional and helpful, he made our trip in Siem Reap memorable! The location is great, 15mins by tuk tuk to the old market and pub street, we actually did not want stay a hotel just too near by old market and pub street as too noisy , so Sofitel Siem Reap is perfect location, relaxing and Nice.
I liked the Sofitel Angkor but I think Agoda overcharged me given that breakfast was not included in my rate and I had to pay USD300 extra on breakfast for 3 days for 4 pax. I was quite surprised that this happened especially given that I have used agoda before & I had found it to be reasonable. This episode has left me disappointed and I would like to raise this with you as it will certainly deter my use of agoda in the future.
A home away from home, the room had every detail that one could need, the beautiful aesthetically relaxing view of the pnds with it's lotuses and forgotten canoo, was a total delight in the morning, very peaceful with only the birds singing. The comfort of the bed could not have been better, ordered room service three times it was prompt and very well served. Excellent all the way. Front desk Camille and Ken made sure all my queries were answered and efficiently helped me to organize my visits to the temples sites. Thank you Sofitel you made my trip memorable and very comfortable.
This is a beautiful resort on the road to Angkor Wat. It's very "photo-op" worthy, and the staff is Johnny on the Spot to answer any requests. The only minus I can see is that, like presumably every resort here, the restaurant and amenity prices are very much US prices, which I doubt makes it down to the staff pay, which is a shame, given the level of service they provide.
Fantastic hotel ”
This is hotel facility offers many deeds. The staff is very helpful, they recommend activities for us to do and all those recommendations are very nice. The facility located in a very quiet place. The garden is very peaceful and quiet.
Resort Stay and accident ”
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were excellent. My husband had an accident, fell on the wooden stairs in the hotel as we were leaving early at 5:00am to go to Angkor Wat to watch the sunrise. The management and staff were wonderful and could not have done more to help us following the accident while my husband was in Siem Reap hospital which was a horrific experience. However the stair case, while beautiful, I believe is a safety hazard as it is difficult to see the 3 dimensions of the stairs in the dark wood; especially at 5:00am when it was not well lit. In NZ you would need the stairs to be more defined with either carpet or stair caps. I assume an accident report was written.
Beautiful peaceful property, close to everything ”
Wonderful stay at Sofitel. Close enough to Angkor to take mid day breaks and enjoy the beautiful pool with swim up bar. Very friendly and helpful staff and a short tuk tuk ride to the old market. A quiet oasis from busy outside world
Good htl in siem reap”
I heard that this htl is the best in siem reap. the htl stass was very friendly and helpful to stay during staying at this htl. Also b.f was nice and all or fruits, vegitables, fish are fresh. The room looks littl bit old but I love swimming pool to tan or swim whatever. the thing that made me be uncomportable was that htl staff came by my room to give us complimentary gifts(foods, beverages etc) many time.. I felt happy at first but it disturbed my rest time. However I recomment this htl!
I would come back again”
We booked ourselves for 4 nights. Resort is midway between Angkor Wat and the Siem Reap city centre which makes it very convenient to travel to both places by Tuk Tuks. Luxurious, clean and friendly staff. My wife has misplaced her camera battery charger and i had emailed the hotel to seek their assistance to retrieve the charger. Although they could not find it (as my wife has dumped it in with her set of dirty clothes and brought it back with us), the hotel was very prompt in getting back on my email.
Splender at the Sofitel in Siem Reap”
Awesome, We enjoyed the food, grounds and the staff. Everyone was overly kind and helpful. Now I am in Shanghai - not the same experience. When you are a tourist it helps when the local people direct you and aid in your visit. We found everything to be 5 stars consistently. Great Job!
Amazing Stay at Sofitel ”
Amazing experience at the Sofitel. A big thank you to the team for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend to try the French Restaurant, The Mouhot's dream to anyone staying there, probably the best table in Siem Reap. The staff is very particular about every single details and will make your stay a highly personalized experience.
Comfortable stay in quality international hotel”
The hotel provides the quality you'd expect from a Sofitel. We enjoyed the spacious green grounds and the attentive care of the friendly staff. Our room on the third (top) floor was large and comfortable. With the rooms being spread out, the hotel always seemed quiet. We enjoyed the huge range of food available at the buffet breakfast - Western and various types of Asian. Siem Reap town centre and Angkor Wat are a short tuk-tuk ride away.
