Exclusive, beautiful and tranquility”
When we've got to the property early, they helped us arranged an early check-in without hesitation, even got us upgraded yo a bigger room. My wife an kid really loved th atmosphere there, the pool, awesome breakfast, very quiet and peaceful, a perfect getaway from the crowded Siem Reap town. Staffs are amazing and friendly. Our two days stay were superb. Definitely recommended!!
Great place, quiet location, away from the philistines”
If you want to be away from the noise and hassle of pub street, this is a place to come. Nice pool and big rooms. A car and driver for a whole day costs $20-25 dollars, so the two kilometers from the center of town is no problem. You're actually staying in Cambodia here, rather than in just another tourist destination. Lovely staff.
A begginer's taste of Khmer village life ”
We spent two special days at Sojourn, just south of Siem Reap and after our temple trot. Staff were 5-star across the board and genuinely kind and interested in who were were. While we certainly treated ourselves to Sojourn's first class amenities and restaurant, we also made the time to get to know the staff, most of which were from nearby Treak Village. It was the ideal way to wind down after the temples and Pub Street. Ideal for couples!
I want to go back!!!”
The choice of this hotel, made our entire Siem Reap vacation!! It is placed in a small village, Treak village. And you get right into Cambodian every day life. An unforgettable experience! Our vacation wasn't just about Angkor anymore, it was about Cambodian living as well. Sojourn felt like an Oasis in Siem Reap. The staff were so friendly, place looks beautiful, and I would want to go back just to have that food again... ;) It is not far from either town or temples, and they will arrange transport. Thank you Sojourn, for making 3 nights into a memory for a lifetime!!!
Fantastic base for sightseeing and relaxing”
From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic. The staff are wonderful. The rooms are large and clean. The gardens are beautiful. The activities - cooking school, special dinners, village visit - are all must dos. I loved the place so much I am trying to find a time to come back.
Love this place!”
We stayed for four nights and used the team at Sojourn to organize our day trips. Everything was perfect - from booking the trip, confirming activities to the time we spent there to checking out. The staff are wonderful - cannot express just how welcome they make you feel. The cooking school was great and destination dining was a great evening. Being out of town adds to the feel of being accepted into a family community. Have already recommended Sojourn to others.
We were truly grateful for selecting Sojourn for our week stay in Siem Reap. The incredible service provided by their staff made us feel right at home. They knew us all by names, and took great care in making sure our needs were met - may it be planning a tour, hiring a tuk-tuk, booking a massage, etc. It's a nice little resort hotel tucked away in the village about 10 minutes from the Old Market. We especially enjoyed the quietness of the area after being out all day.
Service is very good but the location is a bit far”
The hotel is located a bit far from the town center. The environemnt is very good and the hotel grown the decoration flowers and food. The breakfast is very good and fruitful. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Nice hotel but a bit remote”
the hotel is a bit away from the normal attraction. it is located in the village. at night it can be very quiet. however, the hotel provide cheap transportation to the city, and they provide pickup and send-off to & from airport. the staffs are friendly and knowledgable. the room are big and spacious. the bathroom is very nice. this is the type of hotel where one can relax and enjoy the village life and away from the bustle of the city. the restaurant provide decent menu, and the breakfast are heavy so dont order too much. the food taste good too!
Everything was Perfect”
The hotel was some distance away from town, but we just loved the breezy tuktuk rides we had to take to and fro. The hotel's best assets are its staff. They really take good care of their guests! Room was big and spacious. Welcome drinks/meal was a nice touch. I don't have anything negative to say about our stay. =)
It's a nice place just out of town, nice and quiet pool. Downside was that there wasn't a bath, despite Agoda saying it had one, same for an alarm clock, a safe, and a full size fridge. The bath was a big disappointment, staff's reaction was simple: no we don't have a bath, no excuses whatsoever. The other things should be taken care of to make it an even better experience.
A little bit of paradise!”
Sojourn Boutique Villas is wonderful! The property is small, and intimate, located a bit outside of Siem Reap, but an easy took tuk tuk ride into town . Staff are delightful and very accommodating, and their kitchen is terrific and creative. The pool area is beautiful, with a swim up bar that even hosts a happy hour each afternoon. Each lovely villa is a little world unto itself. But most important, the hotel works closely with the people of the nearby village in order to improve their lives through an international organization called HUSK. They also have a strong commitment to sustaining and improving the environment. We would go back there in a minute if we could !
Amazing place, amazing people”
Super place, very relaxing, very friendly staff and great atmohsphere. Super breakfast, great value. Thank you
We had just finished a volunteer project and had been living a little rough so booked Sojourn for some RnR at the end. We got just what we needed. Excellent food, great rooms and staff and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Exceptional hotel outside of Siem Reap”
For me, it was the staff who made my stay so special. Genuine, smiling faces! Which isn't to say that the bungalow, restautant, spa were not perfection, because they were. Also the pool was beautiful. And free pick up from and delivery to airport.
Pretty close to heaven”
We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were amazing and the food quite delicious. We intended to go out in the evening but there was a great choice of menu and so after a long day at the temples stayed in. The eleven spacious villas are cleverly located in a lovely garden round the pool. The bathroom seemed a little tired but very functional. The location away from hustle and bustle of the centre was just right to be tranquil and yet not to far from the temples. We had a great driver called soccar arranged by the hotel who always had a smile on his face however long he had had to wait for us.
Girls had fun!”
We were two good friends who met up in Cambodia from our jobs in Manilla and Singapore. We loved our whole long weekend and loved coming back to Sojourn for the pool, AMAZING food (compliments to the chef) and comfort. Loved it!!
A taste of rural Cambodia”
I have stayed at Sojourn every year since they opened Christmas 2008 - sometimes several times a year. A resident of Singapore, its the perfect weekend escape for me and my wife - she requires 5 star accomodations and I require 2 star rural setting. Sojourn and their team meet both requirements.
Aircon not cold, spacious room, super far”
Room is spacious, so is the bathroom. Air con very weak. Water pressure of shower not high enough. But there's a outdoor shower area with good water pressure. Location, according to tuktuk drivers, super far (South) About 30 mins to Angkor wat. Individual house, nice porch and pool. Breakfast included, good, good coffee. Nice staff. No lights at the pool at night, not good for pictures, but doesn't matter.
Three Days at the Sojourn ”
While it would have been interesting to be immersed in the culture of Siem Reap, what gives Sojourn it's peaceful charm is that it was away from the hectic downtown. Each night and morning we had a lovely meal at the restaurant. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and were able to make great recommendations. What we also loved about the Sojourn was that the staff was very personable and made an effort to know the names of every guest staying at the resort. In addition, the staff ensures that the grounds and guest rooms are well kept. The private tours arranged by the hotel were very good.
