nice place to stay”
the hotel located very far away from the airport(about 70KM). but has great mountain view ,beautiful room, very quiet place with nice cool weather there. strongly recommend you rent a car or drive your own car, otherwise transportation will be a big problem. i really enjoy my time in this quiet place....hope can stay there again.
beautiful place nice people”
This is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but it is a beautiful slice of nowhere and the staff is very friendly and helpful. So quiet, and they had local coffee for breakfast that was better than Starbucks. I'm not sure about the dinner because I only stayed for breakfast, which was excellent. I'm going back for a longer stay.
Very quiet beautiful resort, our needs were met.”
Enjoyed our stay. The price was a bit steep for the location of the resort. Comparing it to Horizons Village near Chiang Mai. They could lower their prices and they would have many more guests. We would like to recommend it to our expat friends but it is pricey.
Relaxing Retreat in Nature”
Great pool and sauna. Remote location. I had to wait about 10-15min to find someone to check me in, but it was the middle of low season and the service after that was pretty good. The resort requires some basic maintenance in places but that is typical of most resorts in Thailand over ten years old. The room size was good and comfortable. The room balcony out in the treetops was very pleasant, especially in the evenings. Probably not a four and a half star resort, more like a three and a half star resort but still enjoyable. A little overpriced, especially if you require an extra bed as we did which ended up almost an extra 1,000B with taxes in low season, and ended up being an extendable lounge. Food was quite nice but rather expensive. Snooker room is a nice extra. Staff were quite accommodating with all our special requests. Despite the few negatives, I would probably return if needed a couple of days to relax and unwind in a nature resort.
Our stay was very nice and relaxing at Suanthip Vanna Resort. The room was spacious with a couch that turned into a bed. We enjoyed exploring the grounds that led to a river behind the resort. We were disappointed that the pool was being serviced and was not usable. The resort should have mentioned that before we came. Also, they placed us on the upper level of the resort when I was 8 months pregnant and the resort was already hilly. It would have been nice if they placed us on the ground level so that I could relax a little more. Overall, our stay was pleasant and it suited our need to get away from the city, enjoy peace and quiet with out our kids.
Nice hotel in the mountains”
Loved our stay we were early in the week in off season so only one other room was occupied. Villa numer one is a great room with views!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow!!!!! The staff was very nice. Buy the shampoo and soap they sell awesome!
Huge rooms in a peaceful setting.”
we spent a night here as a stopover on the journey between chiang mai and chiang mai, which allowed us a full day sightseeing at each end. it proved an excellent choice for that. the staff were super friendly and the evening meal was an unexpected delight. the rooms are very peaceful and thou we did not use it the pool area looked nice. the only negative was the rather dated bathroom.
Friendly service and environmental awareness ”
My overall impression was great. The hotel, room and decor were excellent. It has a great environment location and we had very good experiences with the staff. The beds were very nice and overall, the rooms were clean and environmentally friendly.
beautiful surroundings and pool”
the hotel is divided into modern two story condos and rustic thai villas perched amongst quite steep terraine with beautiful gardens and rice paddies, only down side was it took a good 10-15 minutes to reach our villa on foot, no golf carts here, but the villa was worth the walk, we only stayed for 1 night so didn't have the chance to really appreciate the stunning view from our balcony and window, the villa & bed was extremely comfortable and i loved the outdoor bath and shower. the swimming pool is huge and the birdlife was a bonus. we had the pool to ourselves as the guests were all out sightseeing.
Great time here”
lovely hotel which i enjoyed very much. i stayed for only one night but everything is so good. the room was nice and the balcony has a lovely view which ofcourse i took a lot of pictures there :)) the food was good also,, breakfast and dinner.
Great hotel and lovely setting”
Booked wooden house/chalet style accommodation. Perfect setting in the middle of nowhere - unspoilts views over fields and forest etc. Morning mists beautiful. Accommodation was excellent and service to match.
Wonderful Hotel with a fantastic view”
the rooms were tip top, the personnel very friendly and helpful. the whole complex was very maintained and build with taste. we enjoyed our stay a lot and will return soon. the hotel is easy to access but very quiet. excellent choice, if you like to escape the hectic life for some days.
Garden in paradise”
The location of the pool is easy to access with nice surrounding scenery. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and I did enjoy having home made style breakfast. In general, I can say that I very much enjoy staying at this resort. I give the hotel a thumps up.
One of the BEST”
This is a very special resort in a very special region. Not only is the resort’s garden immaculate and beautiful but the surrounding jungle covered hills are lush and green with blotches of cultivated areas on 90 degree slopes and heavily silted rivers running north like gravy on a roast of beef! We were there last week (July) and only had 4 other people in the resort. Nobody but us lay around the lovely big pool and the water was cool and refreshing despite the heat. This resort is truly a get away from it all, relaxing and romantic place to stay. We stayed in one of the Baan Pkakeryor villas and we were not disappointed. Well worth the extra $$. We have been to many many resorts around the world in 36 countries and this would rate in the top five. The restaurant is situated at the front of the resort facing the road and the trucks are a little noisy in early evening especially if you like to dine outside. As the evening progresses the noise abates a little. It is a pity the restaurant did not face inward to their lovely gardens. If you like to ride a Mt bike and explore, take your own bike. I had trouble with the resort bikes. All three of them!! The villa however was paradise on earth. Clean, quiet, beautifully furnished, bed not too hard, coffee making machine with Thai coffee, lots of free water, a fridge, air conditioning, all the trimmings and best of all the ‘under the stars’ shower and wooden tub. Oh my, how good can it get!!
Wonderful stay !”
Beautiful resort in a beautiful setting ! Very spacious rooms with everything you need ! Large balcony, bathroom with bath. Very friendly staff ! Returned to the hotel two weeks later. Would definitely go back.
So Natural and Nice Services”
The hotel is located at very natural place with forest environment. Moreover, the services of all functions are so fabulous. They communicate the good information. The massage is very unique and so relaxed. Anyway, the swimming pool is needed to be cleaned because it has some leaf and insect in the pool. I would love to recommend the food from it's restaurant. It is so delicious. I will find sometime to stay there for longer period of time.
Suanthip Vana Resort”
This is a lovely place to stay- lush, quiet, relaxing. BUT- you need to know it is about 1.5 hours from Chiang Mai and about 1 hour to Chiang Rai. It is on the road winding between the two towns. We loved the seclusion, but were not aware of it when booking. The staff is very nice especially with our 6 year old! A lovely three day stay. Chiang Rai is a great place to visit!
I would absolutely suggest this for a retreat or other spiritual occasion. The grounds are well manicure and kept well. Nice trails for biking or walking. Staff is attentive. Rooms spacious and wonderful atmosphere.
Nice resort, lots of green space, excellent staff”
The room is a bit dated but clean and adequate, one of the best options in the area, local food was delicious, staff very friendly and willing to help.
Was excellent- we only regret that it was much further from Chiang Rai than stated on Agoda.
