We booked for a queen size bed and was given twin sharing. When we asked the staff, they said all is booked when clearly there's only a few people who were checked in. Food from their restaurant sucks. We were served sandwiches with ants crawling on the bread. I will never go back...
Value for Money”
We are a family with 3 kids. We stayed in the executive suite. The room is huge with sala and dining table. Highly recommended for families with young children. The place is a bit rundown with stains in bathrooms and paint in walls deteriorating. However, since we just need a place to rest for the night, this hotel is good enough.
We enjoyed coming here.”
If you don't mind a long walk, its location is great. Trip to store with a vehicle isn't far at all. Their rooms are spacious and relaxing. The view from our room was okay – not a big fan of seeing houses in the morning. But it wasn't a big a deal. Coffee was not available in our room. But can get them from their cafeteria. Their staff were great.
Spacious but far”
We had the executive suite, and had 2 spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There was a nice living room, a dining area, and balconies. Bistro was ok for fish dishes and sandwiches but took too long for any meat orders. Pool was ok. Area is very quiet and rural.
Nice Budget Hotel”
The place is a little old and the elevator is too small. It strikes me as "Creepy" like some place taken from a horror movie. Considering my need to rest, this hotel delivers though. As for the bathroom, it needs an overhaul. The tub is dirty but all of this is compensated by the friendly and quick-on-their-feet staff. Overall, I rate them 2.5 to 3 stars.
hotel inside a country club”
At first, we had difficulty finding this hotel because it is our first time to travel here in Tagaytay City. We asked a couple of locales about the direction until we found it. We didn't know that Alfonso, Cavite is a bit far from the city, I think it's about 5-8 kms. away from the central district of Tagaytay. I was bit disappointed because in my thought, this would add up on my gasoline consumption considering that everytime we wanted to go somewhere, I have to travel the said distance again. But I started to appreciate the place when we decided to take our rest. The place was so quiet and the cool breeze of the wind makes it more special. The scent of the pines surrounding the hotel was one of a kind. Our room was really clean, but I suggest to upgrade their television, they are still using the CRT type where most of their competitors are now using LCD/LED's. The breakfast was also good, love the fruits served on the side.
I liked my stay here. It is a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Tagaytay City. It allows you to relax while still enjoying the cool Tagaytay weather. Rooms are very spacious and has a balcony. Very worth the price.
Hotel is old, 20 years. It has potential, needs major renovation. You need to have car to be able to go here. Its very peaceful and very quite. If you are solo travel, its kinda spooky if your alone in the hotel. Very affordable compared to other hotels.
Staff are friendly. Location is good, when you have your own car :) Whole hotel is good and elegant, but some of the appliances inside the room is not functioning well. (light, bath tub, hot and cold shower)
worth the stay”
the receptionist is very helpful, the place was old but spacious and its worth the price...
Not Ideal to check in Late and if Solo Traveler”
Location is too far from the Rotonda. It is not advisable to check in late like around 8pm onward most specially around 12 midnight to 4am. Entrance until the hotel itself is too dark, very limited street lights. After i roamed around the city area in tagaytay, I tooked a Tricycle (because i booked the hotel 6pm that day and checked in around 3am already) because there is no Bus already. From Starbucks near Estancia i paid Php 400 for the trike until the Hotel itself. There is a part inside the location which is dead end and no lights. (Luckily my phone has a flashlight). Then the Exterior and and some Interior looks like haunted. The rooms are old but still okay to have a sleepover. The Cable is not working (as per the front desk agent, it is because there is a problem from the cable provider). The pool is okay. The breakfast is Good. But the price is not worth it for the room. It feels like i another company in the room. And i am just alone but they gave me 2 single beds.
Value for money”
The place is quite old, but still has potential. It just have to be renovated. But overall we stayed comfortably, it has swimming pool and also they serve breakfast. You can even ask them to reheat your food. I will recoomend this place for its value for money
property is old. poorly maintained. cluster where our room was located feels like an abandoned building. stained linens and greyish towels. bathroom sucks. its just totally not worthy. so disappointed.
Value for money”
3rd time to stay in Sunrise Hotel. The rooms are big as well as the living room, great for family or group accommodation. The hotel restaurant was once closed at night during one of our visits, our only option was to drive out to get some food and it could be a hassle if you don't have a car. The location could also be a lil bit tricky as its inside a residential village. The pool is small but clean. 4/5 for me.
Holy Week @ Sunrise Holiday Mansion”
Our second time & facilities are still the same. We always choose the executive suite but their sofa now needs replacement asap. We requested for housekeeping to collect our trash the following day but nothing happened until we checked out the day after.
the hotel is beautiful despite being old and a lacking on maintenance like new paint. the staff made our stay comfortable. i would have given a higher rating if the elevator was working. we were given a room at the 5th floor and we needede to climb up and down the stairs because they have no elevator.
so-so (room: 302-b)”
pros: value for money spacious quiet place for relaxation cons: very far from the city/attraction difficult transportation for commuters have to walk for like 800m (hotel entrance is inside the subdivision) breakfast same menu everyday (cornbeef or luncheon meat) no slipper (bring your own - 50/pair) no kitchenette (as per picture there is) no wifi inside the room a bit creepy (sometimes the door open on it's own) NO BIDET! (you have tabo tabo the water) no free bottled water no table inside our room (as per picture there will be provided) hotel is old, needs renovation.. lol we stayed for two nights
Value for money”
Pros: Large rooms. With balcony. Might be a bad thing for some but I think the location is okay especially for people who don't like loud city noises like us. Staff are friendly and courteous. No bidet. Only two choices for breakfast (luncheon meat and corned beef that day).
Good bed and linens but the hotel looks really old. But the room was BIG and it has its own veranda. TV was not flat screen and remote control wasn't working well. The room has mini ref. Not bad for a 1 night stay in Tagaytay.. though you need to have your own car when you stay here as it is quite far from Tagaytay city center.
Front desk staff needs training on hospitality”
The hotel was hard to find at night since it's inside a subdivision. The place is not wel-lit. We had a hard time looking for a place to eat when we arrived there at 9pm. The front desk staff when we checked-in and out (woman with eyeglasses) seemed like she didn't like her job. We were asking her for directions and she answered in a very rude manner. She was frowning the whole time, making us feel as if we were bothering her. Good thing midnight staff was accommodating, she answered our queries and even printed a map for us.
