normal hotel has low quality service”
it was okay but not fancy at all. room was clean but very old. bed was small but its comfortable for sleep. shower tap was not good quality and it looks broken. staff cant speak english well. i had quite difficulty to communicate with even though it was very simple and normal conversation about booking. Hotel wifi was disconnected many times. So I had to reconnect more than 10 times in an hour. I have stayed in 4 nights and i asked tax service for airport but a staff answered there was no taxi service. I heard it was very old hotel running many years and a really big hotel. I couldn't believe myself there was no taxi service. a staff told me that I need to go out find myself to get a taxi and I had hard time outside. I finally got a tax but my taxi driver couldnt speak English so I went back to my Hotel parking lots and a staff called a receptionist. I just wanted her tell my driver I wanted to go to an airport and let my driver know which terminal I am going. I explained in English and the receptionist answered yes and hung up. my driver didnt get any informaion, so I had to make another call. The receptionist said that I can come back to Robby and wait for another taxi. Howcome? She already said there was no taxi service and I wasted time more than 30 mins and I was quite in a hurry for my flight. I already had an taxi driver, then why I had to go back and waste more time. luckily, I got chinese traslation message of airport from my chinese friend and I could go to an airport. the staff was helpless and just wasted my time. It was horrible experience of hotel service.
1 bus-stop away to Tiantan. no internet wifi in the room, only available in the main hall.
Hotel is a bit old, but room is quite comfortable”
Hotel is a bit old, but room is quite comfortable.Nice Chinese Restaurant, Staff attitude is good and easy to get taxi, near to forbidden city. Massage Parlour within walking distance.
Good Location , manager good mood”
The room was very comfortable.”
It was generally great, having nice stuff and the room was very comfortable to stay. Yet, there were only internet cables in the room and no Wifi which was an issue as I had to go downstairs to connect to the internet.
Hotel needs refurbishing”
We decded to change the room due to the fact that the floor carpet was shabby and looked dirty. Other surfaces are worn out as well, especially in the bathroom. The personnel is ok., normal chinese level. We had difficulties to get a taxi in the morning on the way to the airport. It took 20 minutes and it is irritating.
Overall relaxing. ”
Enjojed our stay however breakfast should have been included as stated with Pagoda prior to booking.
Goodddddddddddddddddddddd Dddddddddddddddddddddddddd Dddddddddddddddddddddddd
Nice hotel, but terrible staff”
The hotel is located close to many attractions, e.g., Temple of Heaven, Tianenmen square, Forbidden city. Not a bad hotel, but terrible, very inefficient staff. The staff at the reception are not nice; the standart answer to all questions is "NO". The staff at the restaurants and bar do not know how to deal with the credit card payment; they cannot even charge your payment on your room. Avoid this hotel.
Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable bed”
After staying here, I needed to make sure that what I paid for FOUR nights wasn't actually the nightly rate - it was such a good deal. The room was incredibly comfortable, the bed was immaculate. I wouldn't pay full freight to stay here, but if you can get a deal to stay here for cheaper, it's totally worth it! Very close to Hongqiao Pearl Market, Temple of Heaven, and Tiantandongmen Subway station. Cons include no free internet, bizarre lighting in the rooms, and a less-than-ideal shower.
Hotel on average”
i stayed there for 3 nights. i arrived very late at around 2 am that night due to a flight delay. the reception staff didn't have my agoda voucher but checked me in first and told me that she will check with agoda the next day morning and she did properly as promised. hotel room is ok. average for that amount of money i paid in beijing. there are several hotel restaurants downstairs. i only tried one; it's expensive but the taste is not that good. i wouldn't say that the hotel location is convenient as it takes me at least 10 minutes to walk to the subway and it's impossible to find a taxi yourself!!! overall it's an average hotel.
lousy service and bad room”
hotel service bad, toilet room cannot open/close, very bad. Will never stay again, I stayed and paid for 4 adult, only provided 3 bed.. this is bad..
Good hotel, good location”
Walking distance to small shop where I bought food to make a nice breakfast in my room ( 75 RMB to eat at the hotel). Walking distance to the huge Hongqiao Pearl Market. Nice and quiet room with easy and free internet-access, through the TV or unplug the net-cable and plug it into your own computer. Took some time to stand in line to check out, but once it was my turn it was fast. All in all, the hotel was certainly worth the money.
Location is good.”
Excellent accomodation, very well managed hotel. Breakfast buffet below standard and cost too expensive for the quality.I would suggest you reaching the standard as of that I experience in January 2010 at the Novotel, they have excellent catering. They also have at least one English person at reception at all times for advice on local site seeing, tour bookings and general advice.
It is a really nice hotel with all the facilities needed in your room. The location is near Tiantan garden and there are many bus stops within walking distance for those that want to travel around.
Goodvalue for the money”
We stayed for 8 nights. The first night we spent in a windowless room, no other space was available. The next room was ok. but a bit tight but clean. Hotel room sevice operated promptly and noise level was low (5th floor). Buffet breakfast is good. In our case it did not include to the hotel price. To get a taxi will sometimes last too long and you have to spare time for checkout and for the airport trip, but that is normal in Beijing. Overall, for the low pice that we paid this is a decent hotel.
hotel in good position for buses and taxies reach ”
over all hotel was good rooms were clean staff were helpfull the restrant had good food chinease or buffet it was near all the sightseeing you could walk to the temple of heven in 10 min buses run from out side hotel to silk market forbidden city tiananmen square the staff told us what bus to get we went on a trip from the hotel to the great wall as it is a good 2 hour drive it was good value as you got a luch in the price and a english speaking guide
hotel tian tan”
Nice hotel, big lobby , friendly staff with overall no communications barriers. Clean room ,free internet , comfortable . Easy access to nearby ammenities , and nearby to railway stations. Traffic not that sound good in overall towns area . Walking distance to nearby foods centre and can enjoyed local home food.
Lost in Translation”
I must say that one of our biggest problems was communication. Those who said that they could speak English, did not understand it as well as expected and therefore, gave us poor directions when asking about popular tourist attractions. In addition, the restaurant service was so poor. I asked for waffles and eggs for breakfast, they came out with just eggs(after at least a 20 minute wait). When I asked about the waffles, the waitress went back and brought me tiny pancakes ! I then asked for the hostess. She spoke English fairly well but when she little into the matter, she told me they do not have waffles. I therefore, only had scrambled eggs for breakfast(which was way over priced).
