Good value for money”
For the price I am paying, i find the room incredibly value for money. It is within a short-and-comfortable proximity to the train station that will take you anywhere. Its proximity to the forbidden city palance and tiananmen square is a big plus.
service good,value for money, ”
clean comfortable reasonable price-value for money near to dongzhimen bus & MRT station -only 15-20 minute walks the staff very helpfull, they help us to book /find a good taxi driver for us to go to the airport
Good location for food but NOT A FOUR STAR HOTEL!”
This is not a four star hotel...definitely just a three star. However it was a great location for food and beer. The whole street becomes alive at night with a plethora of restaurants serving great cheap food and beer in a festive atmosphere with outside seating. The only slight hassle is that most of the menus are not in English and only some have pictures. However the restaurant right outside the hotel in the left did have a menu with English and pictures and served great food and very cheap beer.
Nice hotel amazing location”
This hotel is solid without being fancy. We had a spacious room, everything was fine, free water, beautiful building and amidst restaurant of the hutong it is on. We found great places to eat, friendly people and it is close to Dongzhimen station from where it is easy to get to several skiing spots around beijing.
convenient, reasonably priced, good”
I stayed here for about 300 Yuan per night, and I was quite happy with it for that price. Convenient to the underground, near to a few attractions (between Ghost St and Lama Temple), and on a hutong with lots of restaurants and the kinds of street life that visitors will want to see. Not luxury, but not bad. I would stay again if I also wanted a budget hotel of a decent standard.
good location small room”
the hotel is pretty good in terms of the service. the staff is really friendly. the room is quite small and old. but if you just need a convenient place to stay at for a short period of time. it is a good choice.
Good location in "hutong"”
the hotel staff is friendly and the room size are quite big. nearby the hotel in the "hutong" there are many eateries and the food are good and cheap. there are also some provision stores . it is also within walking distance of about 5 to 10 mins to the nearby train station. it is also very near to "kui jie" where there are lots of restaurants that serve many variety of food.
Great location and strong Chinese style”
This is a good hotel with Chinese style. It is located in a good place where you can find many good restaurants nearby. Importantly, it is built in a Beijing Hutong where you can feel strong Beijing culture. I really likeit.
Clean rooms, but lousy internet connectivity”
While the room was satisfactory, there was a major issue with internet connectivity. The hotel brochures mention broadband internet, but in reality the wifi was so slow that it was unusable, and the advertised business centre was closed down (with the sign still up). I ended up checking out of this hotel due to this issue.
Inexpensive hotel exceeded expectations”
was on a 3 days stopover with my 5 yr old son left big luggage on airport so the 10 min walk from the airport line end station (subway station) to the hotel was a breeze liked the area the hotel is located (hutong) easy check-in room was spacious and clean gym room had some useful, modern equipment and was definitely a plus overall great value for money, as it was one of the cheapest options to stay
budget friendly typical hotel”
hotel price was budget friendly. the bed was comfortable to sleep on. bathroom has hot water. room was clean but with noticeable dirt on the carpet and walls. the location of the hotel was not ideal as taxis often do not know the place or do not prefer to go to that area and it was not near any mrt.
Great location but small standard rooms”
it's a traditional "si he yuan" looking building. travelers inn is a quiet and nice place to stay in a noisy city like beijing. it's located in the "hutong", so a bit difficult for taxi drivers to find, but convenient to walk out to get a taxi or take the subway. we like the chinese style breakfast, especially the soy bean milk and pickles, and enjoyed walking in the yard then sitting in the chairs taking in the sunshine. a young guard always smiled and said hello, and you'd always see a little black or white cat sitting or walking in the courtyard. the staff are nice and always ready for help. it's a cozy home for couples traveling in beijing.
Traditional looks with moderation room”
cleanness room with big space. the amenity and lightening is enough. cable internet in room but lack of wi-fi in room. i cannot use my net pad in room. Around hotel is a lot of sabu sabu restaurants. just take 5 mins. walk to the famous palace. For traveler take airport express train need 10 mins walk without clumsy luggage. there are no elevator from underground upward the street. it is most inconvenience for traveler using subway. Overall, it is good for people would like to stay in peaceful area.
Fantastic hotel in one of Bejing's best hutongs”
the staff was fantastic and helpful. the location of this hotel is great. it is one block off of ghost street, and the hutong it is located in is full of great restaurants. for being in the middle of the city, the hotel was very quiet and inexpensive. we loved being able to relax in the courtyard after a day of sightseeing.
spacious room with good basic facilities & service”
Surprisingly it's a good and well equiped hotel except the location is not so favourable as it is right in the middle of a very crowded housing area of Hutong, and the surrounding is quite dirty and unhygienic, with rubbish, kitchen waste & building materials laying along side the narrow road.As a whole we like the comfort of the hotel, its breakfast and easy accessibility to the subways. For your information,1 couple left early to Shanghai and so 1 room was cancelled, returned & unoccupied. Please refund me the charge of 1 room for 1 night ie.17.Oct.2010 as soon as possible. Please check with the hotel. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated. TQ
Very nice hotel hiding deep in HUTONG”
The hotel is a gem in the deep of the small street known as HuTong in Chinese. Our taxi took a great efforts to arrive the hotel with very careful driving in such a narrow street. But the hotel also benefit by its location which offer it very quiet environment. The staff is very helpful during our stay. It also provide a beautiful hall and place for spa. The room is not spacious but very clean. The whole building is designed by Liang Sicheng, a famous Chinese architect.
It is a solid hotel for the upper class room. Amazing location in a vibrant Hutong, beautiful building. I'd stay again.
a pleasant stay”
my stay in Traveler inn was quite pleasant as i was travelling alone. Although the place is frequent by foreigner, the receptionist doesn't know how to converse in English which is a let down but still can get the message over by using google translate :). Also note that there is only Wifi in the lobby but if you are at the right side on the 2nd floor you might still get a faint signal of it.
Good value, no heating though”
Walls need some paint, floors need new carpets! Slow and unstable internet/lan, no wifi (I brought my own wifi router, worked great, lol). Central heating cannot be adjusted. Burned electrical sockets. Temp varied between 14-17 celcius. Bring thick clothing! No safe in deluxe rooms don't know about other room types.
small but complete room in hutong area”
I have stayed at this hotel several times and find it very comfortable. The rooms are small but well organized. It is several story with a Chinese feel to it. Located within a Hutong, you get a real feel of local Beijing Style. Lots of restaurants located nearby. There are also lots of cats, sort of big furry cats who survive well in the hard winter.
