Wiang Inn Hotel combines a peaceful setting with quiet comfort while being close to the action of Chiang Rai. The hotel is located on a quiet side road at the city center and is a few minute's walk from the popular night market. Rooms are decorated in contemporary Thai style and are well equipped with modern facilities like satellite TVs. The in-house restaurant serves both Thai and international cuisine while the bar is a great place to catch up with friends. Guests can relax by the pool and enjoy a traditional Thai massage. If you’re looking for a special and unique experience, look no further than Wiang Inn Hotel.

Good Location, Breakfast and Reasonable Price”
The hotel and facilities are old but the room was not bad but a big room. Everything worked as well. The breakfast was tasty and variety food. It was a very location, convenience transportation, can walk 5-6 mns to Bus Terminal 1 (Old), night market, souvenirs & massage shops and restaurants.
this not my 1st time stay same as be4 ”
Hotel past its prime”
The lobby was refurbished to make the impression that it was newer than its true age. There was a mosquito problem there, sitters beware! The hallway on the upper floors were dark and so was our room. Inside our room were tiny insects running around, too. The hotel restaurant has a 17% tax and service charge on their food and beverage, my dinner was average at best. The staff spoke a low level of English and some were more helpful than others. I would pass on this hotel as I'm sure there are better options in town.
Third stay here. This is my prime stay hotel when in Chiangrai. Location is great and all essentials can be walked to (Massage, Motorcycle rentals, Laundry shops and most importantly the night bazaar). Most temples are also within walking distance to get you going. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is a good buffet spread. It is quiet, the bed was comfy and the air conditioning was quiet. Checking the bed,air con, fridge and the state of the bathroom should be on everyone's checklist anyway. The only issue we had was the internet. This is very hit and miss but if you need to use the WIFI do it at the breakfast area or the lobby. The signal is strong there and we had no problem. From the room well it was like I said reasonable or non existent. Apart from that highly recommeneded
Nothing, counter staff not experience and one fat girl not friendly
Good staff respectfull nice Breakfast near the center
Easily the best hotel I have stayed in Thailand. Staff are fantastic. Food, Room & ensure great. ”
Everything great. Except no safe in room. But may be available in a more expensive room.
Same as before ”
Seem to 5 star hotels but cheaper live in down town of Chiang Rai easy to go anywhere. Will come bac”
Will comeback to stay there again .I lost many please to visit have to stay at lease one week so you look all around Chaing Rai .May be go to golden delta just take a boat over border to Loa Meanma can stay there too.
Good sleep and convenient location”
Traditional Thai hotel, although it is a bit old but still well maintained. Nice and adequate buffet breakfast. I have good sleep for one night here in between staying in hostels. Very near to Chiang Rai old bus terminal 1.
Location is definitely an advantage”
The hotel is close to night market, bus station, rent-a-car shops and it is easy to go to sightseeing spots. The hotel itself is a little bit old but it is clean and tidy and the price is competitive.
very good city centre hotel”
nice staff, spacious room and comfortable bed, quiet surroundings, good breakfast, we tried the hotel lunch buffet for 200 bahts. per person and the food were delicious with a lot of choices, super value, we took the hotel shuttle to the airport for 200 bahts for two persons, overall we're enjoyed our trip in Wiang Inn Hotel, we plan to come back soon.
Pleasantly surprised ”
Always a difficult thing to pick a hotel from what other people say or from looking at the area in Google. But I can safely say the Wiang Hotel is a very nice place to stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The lobby bar had someone playing the piano while we had as drink at the end of the day. We had breakfast included and it was good. All the usual items and made to order eggs, but you might have to ask because the cook isn't always there waiting. Good location easy walk to the night market. I recommend eating dinner in the market for a better Thai food experience. Why come all the way to Thailand for Italian or western food right?
Go there, you'll like it ...”
It's the 2nd time we've (5 of us) stayed at the Wiang Inn/Chiang Rai (the 1st time was with my son, his wife and their 4 children). Ideally located (3 minutes walk from the night market (but nonetheless a quiet place), surrounded by restaurants (Thai and international), bars, massage shops, etc. Spacious and well equipped rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Go there, you won't be disappointed ... enjoy your stay.
Great hotel, ruined by the nightmare car park attendant”
This hotel is excellent, good value, nice location, excellent rooms and friendly staff (except one). The breakfast was good and there was a nice big LCD tv in the room. The main let down of this hotel is the aggressive car park attendant. When we arrived on the Saturday he was shouting at another guest because they had not parked their car in the exact spot he had told them to. On the Sunday we left there were about 4 cars parked and when I drove our car out of the car park the attendant came over shouting and screaming that we were not following the one way system which was not very well marked. When I go on holiday I can do without being screamed at by hotel staff and for this reason unless the hotel management can assure me this car park attendant has undergone some sort of customer training or been replaced I will not stay there again. Neither would I recommend it to my friends.
The location is excellent. The staff were nice but took a little bit of harassing to get rid tv sorted but finally were helpful and fixed the issue. There is a pool which is totally univiting and surrounded by concrete, this needs a total re-landscape to make it inviting. Breakfast was good. Great location is the key.
staff friendly, breakfast was good sharp tiles on bottom of pool my friend and his son both cut bottom of their feet, rooms clean, would recommend purchasing bottled beverages in bar as mixed drinks seemed alcohol ‘shorted’ nice location...
Staff friendly, Breakfast meal had nice variety and was good ... tiles on bottom of the pool had sharp edges my friend and his son both got cuts on their feet ... ordered several 5 margaritas in bar area one after another my friend and i thought they shorted the alcohol in them would recommend ordering bottle beverages rather than mixed drinks. Bar had entertainment using grand piano and music was enjoyable.
An excellent hotel with wonderful staff”
I was staying here for one night while making my way to Bangkok. I had arrived by bus from Chiang Mai and the hotel was about 5 mins walk from the bus station. It was at Songkran time and there was nothing open around the hotel, no restaurants or coffee shops. I ate at the hotel and the prices were excellent. The check in staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff likewise. The room was comfortable and very clean. I had a great nights sleep as the place was quiet. Check out was easy and the 100 baht fee to take me to the airport was an excellent price.
Great location. Swimingpool needs some improvement. Breakfast with many choices but mainly asian style.
