Simple and nice accommodation right in the beach ”
I've stayed at the Ailay resort for 4 nights and had a great time. The location is convenient, in the end of long beach. (I would recommend renting a motorbike anyway so you can easily get to any place you need). My bungalow was simple, but clean and cosy. The weather was unexpectedly cold the first two nights of my stay, so I had to ask for a blanket, but normally it is not nessesary. 24 hours light is a big plus, but I would recommend to install at least one plug in the bungalow to be able to charge the phone (you can only do it at the reception at the moment). And maybe at least one piece of soap in the bathroom. The rest was perfect. Lia.

Great spot, great hosts! ”
We had a wonderful time at Ailay. We booked the comfort bungalow directly on the beach and really loved it. There’s nothing like seeing the ocean from your bed and falling asleep hearing the sound of the waves. :) The owners are supernice, very helpful and the best cooks we found on the island! Try the fish in Choo Chee curry - it’a amazing. Everything they offer feels authentic and special and nothing like the tourist ripoff you may find somewhere else. We definitely recommend going there!

We stayed for 8 nights and rest enjoyed it. The bungalows are very simple but what you pay for is the amazing beach right in front of you. One thing to notice : there's the rasta baby bar 20 meter down the beach. They play music fairly moderately during the week but we also witnessed 2 days in a row of extremely loud music. That means your bed sheets vibrating until 4am with reggae music. I don't know how regular these parties are but if you're sensitive to loud music you should be aware of it. Other than that I highly recommend ailay and their friendly staff.

Too expensive but nice staff”
The huts are very simple and directly at the beach of this beautiful island. But the price is absolutely too high for this kind of accommodation. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant that belongs to Ailay Resort offers vegan food as well. That was a plus for me. The huts were clean and the moskito net in a good condition. I was wondering that there wasn't a door to the bathroom.

the lication is great. just infront if the sea. The rom itself is very basic and lovely.s its only problem is the most uncomfortable matress that we have rver slept in with metal springs poking out and whats not. the place has one of the best restaurants (and most expensive) on the island. try the prawns and deep fried fish. We requested to move to another room because of the mattress and we had to pay for it in full. the place in general feels very money driven. It also felt against their will to give us the free coffee we were promised (was included with room price) WIFI is horrible.. in 3 days not one page loaded. all in all its beautiful, unique in its own way, and uncomfortable. you gotta make your choices.

We just spent 5 great days at this really nice place. The bungalows are simple but very clean with comfortable bed and a beautiful ocean view. Room cleaning every day with fresh towels, water and bathroom supply. It‘s located at the end of the beach and therefore nice & quite. The food is simply amazing! fresh & super tasty, absolutely recommended! Above all the staff is warm & welcoming, always smiling, helping and doing their best. Thanks a lot to the whole team - we had a really great time! if you‘re looking for luxury and VIP tourists this is not the right place for you! but if you‘re open to find joy in the simple lifestyle with all basics you need, you will be rewarded with the sound of nature and ocean, stunning sunsets, butterflys flying around, great food & good vibes :) Anja & Thoralf PS: we absolutely don‘t share the negativity of some people‘s rewiews here!

Sweet little bungalow ”
Located on the beach close to some nice restaurants, little motorbike ride to get to some shops, the beach wasn't too crowded, wifi and power to charge electronical devices from 8am-10pm, very friendly and helpful staff

BEWARE!!!”
The reason we choose that resort it s because we were thinking that spending 4200Bhat a DAY!! Not even including breakfast would bring us something a little bit upscale. How WRONG we were!! It s a typical thai small resort made of simple bungallows.The outdoor entertainment is none existant. The kitchen is basic offering nothing exciting( they don t even propose a cocktail.) The access is also really difficult as there is no proper road .You have to drive thru soft sand wich is very awkward especially on two wheels. The entrance is dirty and messy. On our first day their was almost no water as they don t have a tank to store water. On a top of that the owner is horrible she never smile and come with those strange rules where you can t have a non resident entering your room(1000b fine ) or using her sun bed(basic wooden bed with no mat on it)...etc. This place is a complete RIP OFF in ten years of living in Thailand i ve never seen this. You re WARNED.

Great location right on the beach”
Great location right at the end of the beach. Huts are right on the beach but are very basic. Food in the restaurant was fantastic. The service is pretty slow, but if you're happy to wait around and enjoy a drink or two before eating, then it's not really a problem. One thing to mention is that there's a bar a couple of doors down that plays loud music until the early hours each night. We were okay with it, as they were mainly playing good reggae music, but I could see how it might annoy some people if they are totally unaware of it beforehand.

Dissapointing”
When booking through Agoda there were two rooms available, one second row and one ocean view. Even though we booked the latest one, we got a bungalow second row, which was a bit tricky since they make you think you will get the nice view. But it was ok, we would have taken it if it wasn’t that the bungalow was very poorly built, with no plugs at all, no space for luggage and for some reason, no door in the toilet. The first day we decided to move to a much nicer place just walking distance from there. I recommend booking only one night and see if you like it, we didn’t. Theres plenty of other places there that are not available for online booking.

Do not book here it is such a waste of money for what they're trying to sell. For less money on the island you can have a far better experience. We booked 4 nights there. Pulled up, we're greeted by a barking dog, no staff in sight, the place looked closed and the beach and property were in poor condition. We walked away and found somewhere better. Agoda should not have this place listed!!!

+ Personnel très gentil et accueillant. Très bonne literie. - Les cabanes en planches disjointes et toit de tôle sont sommaires et laides. Toilettes ouvertes sur la chambre.! Chasse d'eau qui fonctionne 1fois/2. Rien pour accrocher ou suspendre... 2 chaises plastiques. Pas de prise électrique Le prix demandé est trop élevé. On peut trouver mieux à moins cher.

Super Lage direkt am Traumstrand in einem ruhigen Bereich. Durch die Glastüren blickt man direkt aufs Meer. Einfach eingerichtet mit allen was man braucht, aber kein Luxus. Kleine Anlage. Gute Klimaanlage. Sehr sauber. Super Roomservice, jeden Tag wird der komplette Bungalow gereinigt und es gibt neue Strand- und Handtücher.

Toll zum relaxen”
Bungalows direkt am "pudrigen" Strand. Alles sauber, toll eingerichtet. In 15 Gehminuten am Strand ist man im Ort. Ist an einem etwas ruhigen Strandabschnitt. Liegen vorhanden und ausreichend Schattenplätze ebenfalls. Sehr nettes Personal und Inhaber.
