Chaweng Beach is one of the most popular on Koh Samui, and this resort provides access to its white sands and crystal clear waters. The 43 rooms at Al's Resort have a style that is both simple and charming and each is equipped with the standard amenities to make guests feel comfortable and right at home. The restaurant affords a beautiful view of the sea, and both local and international cuisine is available. The spa facilities offer Balinese massages, various aromatherapy sessions, and a selection of body scrubs and facial treatments to take guests to the ultimate state of relaxation.

The perfect location if you want to be close to the beach as well as in the heart of Koh Samui!! Breakfast could be better. Staff are helpful. Furniture & basic maintenance could be better - but then the location makes up for that!!
Excellenct Hotel for your holiday”
It is excellent plance! The beach is the most beautiful, you can find on the island. The loation is pretty good, you are right in the middle of everything. The service in the hotel is excellent and special thanks to Pu and Honey (front office manager) as they made our stay memorable.
Good price but old resort”
You pay what you get for is what it is all about. Don't expect much and you'll be glad to have booked this hotel because i don't see it as a resort. It is right at the beach and close to the good stuff in chaweng, had no problem with the noise at night. The rooms are pretty much run down and they try to keep it clean. It was more then enough to celebrate the new year in Samui.
Great Little Place - We Returned and Will Return”
This is our second year in a row at Al's. This year we were in a villa - lovely spacious room with big bathroom and outdoor shower as well. Will definitely book here again - the beach out front here is probably the last of the really nice beach on the northern end of Chaweng, before it turns rocky and a bit dirty. Their restaurant does good food and they do happy hour drinks specials to compete with the other bars around.
Great Location! The perfect beach is just right Infront of the hotel, as well as the happening street. The only thing I would put 3 star is the room which I think it should do a renovation already, it's clean but it's kind of old. If renovation is done then it will be awesome place.
i habe stayed here before and was dissapointed thus time. Breakfast was poor they appear to put out the minimum. Beds in room past replacing completely knackered. Air con worked but stuck on freezing after a request to fix nothing happened. it is cheap but better to stay at Montien or Dara this place seems to be on the way out. beach towrls were old lots of other things but not terrible just lack of care
Location, location, location!”
It's hard to have a better location in Chawang than Als Resort. It's right on the beach, the pool was beautiful and the room was decent. Right across the street is Central Festival, a mall filled with shops and restaurants. The coffee from Black Canyon was great. And there was a night market at the mall with lots of great deals. Make sure you try the nearby thai restaurant, Khaw Glong. The green curry and chicken satay was incredible! So many things within walking distance, highly recommend!
Nice resort...totally worth a look!”
Set back about 150 meters, Al's is near the road in the perfect Chaweng neighborhood...lots and lots to do here. On the property, rooms were really nice (small ant problem in a room 1/2 way to the beach), but the wall to wall windows, although nice for light and view, left little privacy. Although small, the infinity pool faced a tremendous view of the ocean. The ocean is a bit rough here, mellower to the North. The restaurant is a bit pricey, as is the whole resort, but it's well worth the money. At $54 it was a steal, but when it went up to $66, it just got a bit too pricey. Still, it's worth the money and the staff tries hard to please. They are kind and gracious. The resort has thought of everything, a shower leaving the beach, foot cleaning stations on the way to the rooms, extra towels, pretty much everything one could want. Nice place!
If not fussy about rooms but value other things”
This hotel is in the centre of the beach, great location opposite central festival shopping centre and main restaurant and night life area. Also great part of the beach to swim, reef creates a lagoon shallow area to the North. Rooms are spacious, clean have all facilities, just a bit basic, slightly dates but great value in this price range. They have 2 pools and a lot of parking that is also unusual for central Chaweng. It is quiet tucked back from the main road. My only complaint was the constant necessity to log back into the wifi every 20 minutes or so and not always a good signal. Unless you are working not really a big issue. I have been visiting and lived in Samui for 30 years so I kind of know most places although it is constantly changing. You can find better rooms at this price but not with the location etc to match. Other alternatives are Chaweng Beach gardens smaller rooms, but also very nice, Montien House the same but facilities are not so good, Casa de Mar 👌
nice hotel at perfect location”
Good hotel and nice people working. Rooms are cleaned very fast after you leave the room. From the hotel you walk directly on the beach. The price for a room maybe is a little bit high, but i prefer to pay a little bit more to have a good and safe hotel. Only little problem were the many mosquitos at the room, that probably come inside at the bathroomwindow that wasn't closed properly. If i go back to samui I will sure think about going back to Al's Resort.
Excellent location very close to all the action on the beach and in town, i wouldn't bother with breakfast if you like western style, the only thing fresh was the eggs and toast. Pool was also good, room looked old but clean enough.
Great beach location”
The location is the biggest plus. It is in the middle of Chaweng beach and is very close to all the shops and busy area of Chaweng. The rooms are a little dated, but our was fine and ok. The bed could have been softer, but overall, I was pleased with the stay and would recommend its location highly.
great beach & location”
it was a great stay as the beach & swimming pool was beautiful/clean. easy access 24 hours, securities very friendly. room was comfortable enough as the bed was spacious enough.cleanliness also assured. air conditioner cold enough. al resort is a resort for every type of traveler (solo, couples & also families). only 3 to 5 minutes walk to shopping, bars & others.
Very Strategic Location”
Stayed at this hotel for two nights with my 2 other friends and we were satisfied with our stay. Hotel is clean, comfortable and up to our expectation. Happy with the location which is close to Central Festival mall, clubs, shops and convenience store. Buffer breakfast was ok and love the pool that overlooks the beach. The wifi in the room is hopeless and as written in the room info flyer that mentioned some rooms will not get good wifi signal. Only use the lobby wifi but sometimes cannot be connected when many people are using it, same goes to the restaurant wifi. Please do something about this. Friendly staff except the concierge lady which wasn't pleasant because I wanted to print my boarding pass but the printer was not printing according to the actual alignment or off tangent and I had to pay for it even though I can't use that boarding pass.
It's located at chaweng beach, and has private beach for guests. We can easy access to central festival, walking street and also beach. For those who prefer night life, you definitely can choose this hotel. Room is good enough, just not so privacy. Hotel just right of the beach, you can enjoy your breakfast just right of the sea.. Overall is good..
3 nights september full moon”
Not flexible with changing full moon party departure time, Staff would not change time nor refund ticket. Took hours to get a van pickup from a pier to get us back to the resort, and we ended up taking taxi due to this failure of Al resort's staff. Other than these issues, the stay was great due to its close location to shopping, dining, nightlife and the beach.
I have stayed here on many prior occasions. I really like the location. The staff was kind enough to switch rooms as the AC was weak in the room we stayed in. I like the Thai/reggae style bar next door.
Good hotel, Very good location, Nice staff cheap.”
The big plus about Al's is it's cheap. But I took the Courtyard Studio room, big mistake there. The rooms are not so nice, I booked two different room there and the A/C was smelly in both rooms. We found a least 3 "Cockroaches", but that wasen't really a problem. We didn't even tell the staff (I know stupid) I sure they would have fixed our problems, the staff was really nice. I really like the location, I think that part of the beach is the best in Chaweng. I've been to, the room are much nicer (a lot more expensive also) but the beach location is not so great (lots of rocks). The breakfast is also very good, a lot of american food, not so much Thai food
Another great place to party”
We have stayed hear more time then I can count, this would be the fourth New Years we have spent hear in a row. Unfortunately this year got rain and the dinner was a bit of a disaster, they should have acted sooner to moving the venue. I love the location of this hotel, this was the first time that we stayed in the garden room, it was ok for the money however it didn't get the pass from my partner. Every other time we stayed we stay in the suits so I guess that is we're we will be again next time.
Lovely hotel and service with a smile ”
The room is cosy and clean and the service staff is very prompt in handling my request and food can be conveniently found. The room is very clean and cosy although there is not much fixtures for a superior room. Best is its on the clean beach.
