A Solid Choice”

My stay at APA Hotel Namba- Shinsaibashi was positive; after staying at another hotel the previous night where the bed was a bit too stiff for my liking, the soft bed at APA was a welcome discovery. The rest of the room was satisfactory, as well, as long as you're like me and don't mind it not being spacious. Additionally, the location is terrific- being just minutes walking from the main shopping street of Osaka and all the excitement. I will say, I was disappointed by the breakfast buffet. The spread was underwhelming and I wasn't all that impressed by what they offered. As Osaka is renowned for its food, eating elsewhere would be my recommendation.

Amazing Location ”

The staff offered to park my luggage at the hotel before the time to check in at 3pm. So I manage to linger around Namba quite a while. Very near to convenient stores and it is only a distance away from Namba, Dotombori, and Shinsaibashi. Also near to Amerikamura where weekends are a cool street to walk in. The breakfast was nice. I went once, but didn't went again because I had to start my day way early. Breakfast was at 6am. (Yes. I did start my day at 5am for not clashing with the morning peak hours.) The hotel is very near a subway station. But further from JR station. So once you reach airport you can take JR trains to Namba. But the JR station to the subway station is a distance that you can walk underground. Basically, it is very accessible. Good place to go anywhere, regardless Kobe, Kyoto or Nara. Exit Namba Hips and you will need to spot Don Quijote, Penguin(Donpen). It will be located in the alley next to it. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay there. Thank you!!

Close to Namba Shinsaibashi”

Close to Namba Shinsaibashi, location is a short walk from Namba station. Room is clean, quite small (10sqm) but with smart design. Excellent reception service, vending machines for drinks, close to convinience store/mart. Stayed for 3 nights with special 3N price. The only down side is a lot of love hotels around, if you don't mind about this (we don't), this hotel ticked all the boxes.

Location, Location, Location!!”

Checked in in 60 seconds flat. Rooms small as per reviews but clean and comfortable bed. Wifi in room very good for iphone browsing and no need to log in each time unlike other hotels. Staff not extremely skilled in English but more than enough for basics needs and very polite. There is a convenience store at 50mt from hotel. Restaurants everywhere and 10 mins walk from Namba station (subway + Nankai Line train direct to Kansai Airport). Overall a very pleasant stay in the heart of Nabma-Shinsaibashi. Highly recommended considering the price/value.

First off, I appreciated booking through Agoda.com. They provided great customer service and pricing. My room was as small as a postage stamp for a hotel in Osaka. But really I had no issue with it, as I’m a solo traveler. The Wi-Fi in the room was perfect and super-fast. The room was minimally decorated, clean and in good repair. I was left a bottle of water everyday by the cleaning staff. It was a nice option to have in my purse when I was running out the door. There was a kettle and a small fridge in the room. It was also nice to have if you didn’t want to run out and get a breakfast in the a.m.’s. The Bathroom was always well stocked. The location of the hotel is very convenient to Osaka-Namba station. There were some cheap and cheerful places close to the hotel to grab food. The street the hotel was on was pretty quiet and I never experienced any issues when I left early in the a.m. and came home in the early evening.

No complaint room size normal Japen standard ”

Exceed my expectation and very good location. Confortable bed and clean room. The size of the room just same as many Japan Hotel standard. Everything I need just around the corner, I really enjoy my stay to walk in Namba and Shinsaibashi area. For first timer in Osaka, wise choice and middle of everything.

Sufficient”

Our stay at the APA Hotel Namba-Shinsaibashi was good. The rooms are ridiculously small, but that was expected. The staff was helpful and the location is great.

Too comfortable for a backpacker 😃 ”

Location is near the exit of Namba station. Just look for Exit 25, as stated from the website.once you exit, you should make a U turn. Go straight. You should see a Yoshinoya. Cross over to where it is. Go straight still. Make a left on the next intersection . Walk a few more and the hotel should be near. You should see the hotel sign. As a solo, backpacker,this was not on my list but I booked kinda late and the price is good enough for me. The staff were very accommodating. The place is modern enough as they are using key cards already. You cannot use the elevator without tapping the card. The room is quite small if you will bring a big or many luggages. But as I was carrying only 2 carry-on-sized baggages, they were ok. The too smelled nice. There was in-room AC control. Lights control was nice, you can control the lights for the room, the table with mirror, lights under the bed (for looking for items that might have fallen) and specially the lamp shade. Switches were lit up as well for easy navigation at night. The bed was comfy enough but there was 1 night I felt a was bitten by bed bugs but that was only a short time. There was a refrigerator small enough for storing drinks and probably a meal's worth of food, if you need to. There was a TV set, not sure if you can change the audio to English though. I didn't bother as I was mostly in the too for resting.There is VOD and you can buy tickets just outside the room. I got enough hangers and places to hand belts etc. The toilet seems really nice with all supplies you will need. Water temperature can also be controlled. There was a means to wash your butt after doing a bowel. You can leave your luggage at the front desk. You can checkout as well by just using a machine! I really loved my stay though I will still look for probably a backpacker accommodation since I will most likely go solo. But for couples, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Excellent location”

We were very pleased with the APA for our 3 night stay in Namba. We just needed a base from which to explore Osaka and the APA was very good. We would stay here again. The location is the best thing, we stayed on the top floor so found it quiet and meant undisturbed nights.

Great value and Location!”

I only stayed 2 night but it was a great experience. The rooms were clean and actually quite spacious for Japan! The staff were so helpful helping me check in. It was close to Namba Station and very close to the famous Dotonburi. Overall very impressed and I was made to feel very welcome from start to finish at the APA hotel.

Clean and convenient”

Being that this hotel is right by Dotonbori, I did not end up spending a lot of time actually in the hotel. There is just way too much to see and do around the area. And a quick subway ride will get you to Umeda where you can shop to your heart's content. But when I did return to the hotel to rest up, everything was as expected. The APA chain appears to be popular among business travelers, and it is pretty obvious why. The location in Namba in particular is one of the newer ones and benefits from all the modern amenities expected from a hotel. Overall, the APA is a great comfortable choice. But if you only need a place to sleep and shower, you can probably opt for a cheaper hotel nearby and you'll be giving up things that are usually taken for granted, such as in-room bathroom, clothing presses, and wifi.

One of the best hotel in Namba Area”

One of the very best location in Namba area within walking distance to Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, Namba Walk, OCAT Terminal and Nankai Namba Station with a very good price. Cleanliness and facilities are great, Breakfast is also great. Heartily recommended !!!

A Gem”

APA Hotel Shinsaibashi is a GEM for me because it is near convenience stores like the Family Mart. The Hotel is across the famous Dotonburi Area which is the shopping and food haven for tourists staying in this area. We came around Feb of this year where the temp is 0 deg Celsius. The room is small but has the amenities for a businessman.

Comfy place to stay near Namba (Glico area)”

Comfy place to stay very near Namba (Glico area) ... turn left around 2 minute to Glico for food and shopping ... turn right for 2 minute for JR Namba line and subway... very good location for traveller... Room a bit too small for me but it comes with reasonable price ... overall is great for single tourist ... i would love to come back again if i visit Osaka in near future

Great location”

Hotel is a stones throw away from Namba Station, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi Shopping Street. So if you want to save time in taking the train, this place is worth the price. The staff were extremely accommodating and courteous.

Like all APA hotels, the staff were courteous, the hotel was well appointed, and it was right in the heart of the night-life district of Osaka. 10/10 -- would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Osaka!

Great Location”

Great location as it is very near to Namba/Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi. 10 min walk to subway station/JR station. Room is small but it has everything u need... anyway u will just a room to sleep as u will spend most of ur time traveling around the city...
