They have a cultural presentation at night for guests. Snorkelling at a nearby island is also offered which is great and the guide is free. Great beach! Great villa with pool. Perfect for those who want seclusion.
Amazing experience due to the beautiful staff that work at Badian Island Wellness Resort”
From the beginning the staff arranged to collect us from the Airport which was very helpful. Once we arrived we were greeted by Raymond who welcomed us with a Flower Lei amd welcome drink. We arrived a lot earlier than the check in time but as the room was ready we were able to check in. The room was stunning with fresh flowers everywhere and gorgeous view of the ocean. We booked our Whale Shark watching and Kawasan falls tour with the hotel and although a little expensive, we were well looked after by our tour guide Jubie who was very friendly and made sure we had a great day. We had a full body massage at the resort which was amazing with stunning views. Pool was great. Restaurant food was very nice, although a little pricey as you would expect. The grounds are well looked after by the staff who were all so friendly to us. We highly recommend staying here. Very special mention to Jubie who made our trip one that we will never forget. Also to all of the staff who looked after us.
We stayed here for three nights. From the pier you are transferred by speed boat to the island which only takes about 5 minutes and welcomed onto the island by singing staff and given a flower garland around the neck which was a nice touch. The rooms are large with air-conditioning. The rooms themselves are a little dated but still comfortable enough but not mosquito proof. Luckily I had taken my own mosi net which proved itself as no net was provided. The resort is totally beautiful with a gorgeous beach and pool where we spent most of our time as there is waiter service to you from the bar nearby and great WiFi, probably the best WiFi in the Philippines. The restaurant provided excellent meals although they are pricey. Breakfast was included and excellent. Highly recommend the golden pancakes served with butter and maple syrup. The staff are really sweet and will bend over backwards to ensure you have a stress free stay. Overall I would highly recommend staying here.
No management present”
It was a huge establishment but only two rooms were occupied. Maybe off season? The German owner was not there and the manager was out of town and not even checking the email on my request. Problem was when I first entered the room, staff explained me about the room and the safe box is under maintenance. So I should be careful. Why not change with others? All are under maintenance. Really? How can all be not not working? Then she advise me to keep all my valuable belongings at all time. Wallet for 5people, phones, expensive gadgets... really? Also there was no hot shower and the shower room was openly exposed to outside. I was walking back, I could see a clear silhouette from far distance even when my daughter turned off the light near the shower. Right at the back of the room was easily accessible to watch if you were a sick pervert. Even after changed to room cold water line somehow broke suddenly. Even when I requested foe the room change the day before, it took 4hrs 3phone calls.
Jusr an Island Resort”
It is pricey for 1Family room with 5occupants for 2nights accomodation. The amenities s not that impressive. Not to mention the Easter dinner Buffet for $35.35 per pax. I can pay lesser in Manila at 5* hotel a lot cheaper with International standard food. The alacart menu is so expensive and yet not impressive taste. The room airconditioning needs to be back up by 3 electric fans. The shower doesn’t impress me to be glass transparent and can be seen outside by garden. I salute all the employee who are hard working, happy people and very friendly.
Good Experiences But need facilities upgrading ”
I think this place can be paradise if updating & upgrading the facilitates is on its way, little things that don't cost much it can make things work.....starting with no wifi (only at the reception area) and no TVs in the rooms; toilet is far away from the bar you need a journey to make it up the hill (Golf cart can solve this issue;; no gym in wellness resort!!! water activities limited priced very high, spa/massage is expensive; nice to have cheaper cocktails during the happy hours however it is made from very cheap local Rum only!! staff are great and food is very well nicely cooked and presented. Entertainment finishes so early; children facilities are very limited as well.
Not really a 5 star resort”
I originally wrote a longer detailed review but agoda limits how many characters you can put so it’ll be a little less expressive. Overall we regret booking here and will be avoiding this place in the future. PROS - staff is EXTREMELY sweet and they have cute dinner shows CONS - at night the rooms become a bug haven. you will be greeted with 100+ bugs and spiders crawling on your walls and ceiling. we couldn’t sleep through the night at all because we kept waking up with different bugs crawling all over us. it was the most uncomfortable hotel experience ever. we booked here because we wanted something luxurious after roughing it the last few weeks in the philippines we left feeling the complete opposite of relaxed and were so happy to leave. we camped in Siquijor and Siargao and never had this problem with all the bugs. it was so dusty and had so many thick spider webs. it just felt like they were never cleaned and upkept to avoid the bug situation. bummer.
There were a few aspects I did not really understand beforehand. The place is very isolated, and not a place for singles. There is no gym. The beach is not really nice for swimming. The breakfast is excellent, the dinner/lunch meny should be improved. Often the food was served luke warm
The staff is amazing and they really make an effort to make you feel at home! ”
They really make you feel so special with all the flowers they put in your bed , to the bath, to giving necklaces etc.... Even when we left they gave each of us personalised necklaces with a heart warming note :)
The perfect getaway”
This resort was my choice when I was attempting to do soul searching. I could not have picked a better place! It really had an amazing look and experience. The pool, restaurant and amenities were clean and it was everything you would have hoped for. The food at the restaurant is a little pricey but rest assured the quality and portions are good. There is no internet in the room which I didn't mind so much since I wanted to disconnect. But if you need access, they only have it at the restaurants or hotel reception lobby. Overall, an amazing place to unwind and regain energy.
A little piece of paradise ”
Initially booked for three nights through the Agoda app, got there and within a few hours decided we would stay longer. From being met at the dock by Fabi with beautiful laithes we were made to feel like the most important people in the world. The facilities are breathtaking and the we cannot praise the staff highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and with the benefit of the Welllness centre attached you have to go for the four handed massage. Special mention has to go to One if the bartenders, Aga, who serves up the best Galing Galing cocktails in happy hour (watch out though.. they have a kick!). Cannot give enough stars for our stay, we were really sad to leave. The food is lovely, good choice of breakfast and evening meals, even the entertainment, although a little cheesy at times the effort and energy the young adults from the island put into their dancing and the fire dancing is something to witness. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about going who wants to just rest and have some downtime or to use as a base as you do The Whale shark diving, snorkeling at Coral Island or visiting the falls or local towns. Shout out to Darrell, the friendly security too! Always smiling!
Exceptional property, with wonderful amenities!”
Peaceful property, very secluded, a true vacation from the vacation, although the western feel $$$ to most if not all the amenities puts your pocket book at a disadvantage, be mindful, the true costs of living on an island . No wifi in our rooms at the time .
Great place to relax”
If you are looking to do nothing but relax this place has everything you need great views stunning ocean and marine life free snorkeling and some other tours. The pool area is great ,the staff will go out of their way to accommodate you bring you everything you need .The restaurant serves fresh healthy food,if you are looking for pizza don't book here.If you just need light snacks the beach bar also has a menu. The potions were very generous and the food tasted great. Overall we had a calm relaxing time the air is far better than anywhere in Cebu,it is however a bit far being a 3 hour car ride, however the resort can organize airport transfer and pick up which was very comfortable.
THE BEST MOST RELAXING TRIP EVER”
We had a three night stay in the island and it was all worth it. We arrived late but they waited for us for the private boat transfer. At the time there were only 3 groups of guests. They set up dinner by the beach side. And we had a show. Sax and blues. Island dancers and fire breathers. And welcome drink is great. They have cold towels to meet you. The room is big. We had the junior deluxe. King size bed, big cozy seating area, fridge, balcony with a sala set and a hammock with a partisl view of the sea. The bath was big. Separate urinal for him. Bath tub by the balcony was already prepsred with flowers. Breakfast is served ala cart but was bountiful. It was served jn a restaurant with a panoramic view. Beautiful. Birds will greet you. Bar and restaurant are reasonably priced. Food is exquisite. They grow their greens in thtir own gardens. It feels like you have your own private island. They had so many freebies like a boat tour for yhe coral farm, all non motor sport equipments. They even have tbeir tree planting ceremoby for the honey mooners. I had my massage in a villa overlooking the sea and mountains across. They have yoga sessions in the morning. The night before we left their staff gad a private show for us to bid us farewell and gave ys shell necklaces. I was very moved. This place is unforgettable. It costs the same as the 5 star resorts in mactan but it is 10x much better. I was in the another resort a month ago. Also jn thrir suite. But this place is quiet. Relaxing. You see the stars at night. Sunset is breathtaking. We will be coming back. Most definitely.
Despite being forewarned about how expensive it was, the meal portions were large and therefore easily shared. Diving is expensive but snorkeling is free and you dont have to go far to observe soft coral. The free ride to the coral wall was priceless as the private beach is quiet, managed by the very able Rudy and best of all, has hardly any pesky souvenir vendors.
Lovely overpriced hotel with great service”
The bungalow was very tastefull designed, but would need attention in details like stuck shower head, slow working sink of lavabo, rusty ceiling lamps in bathroom and rusty airond body fitted on ceiling. Very nice daily flower decoration of room and bathroom, frequent change of towels, extra towels at pool and snorcheling area and huge very well mainained beautiful garden. Own plantage of bio-vegetables and excellent cooking. Poor quality of fruits for breakfast. Extraordinary nice care of owner and well trained workers.
A place where you feel good, part of a big family.”
I hereby would like to comment to some previous comments given by others: Some people complain about the pricy food. Please note I have never eaten so well, every single day. This restaurant is equal or more to European standards!! The daily 6 course dinner is an enjoyment at itself. So, the price might be high for the Philippines, but well worth!!! Some people complain about the poor airco in the suites and villas. Please note these buildings are built as per native traditions, which means not entirely sealed of. The airco gives a cool breeze throughout the room, which is definitely sufficient, also for sleeping. Some people complain about the distance between airport and resort. It is indeed more than 2 hours driving. But just consider it as sightseeing, as part of your vacation. What is wrong in exploring the native life in the Philippines? Just relax, sit back and watch. Or take a nap. My enormous respect definitely goes to the owners of this resort, who pay a lot of attention and give a lot of care to the local island community, by giving job opportunities, health care, utility provisions, etc..... RESPECT!!
Wonderful Resort ”
The best island resort I have been in Philippines. The drive was pretty far drive from cebu city. A very nice private island resort. Great food and superior service. Large and spacious rooms. Enjoyed all activities, especially snorkeling. Great staff and customer service. Definately worth coming back, but will have to enjoy I consider enough time to accommodate the three hour travel time
Great location, nice beach”
you know it's going to be fun when they greet you with real flower leis! the place was nice and clean. food was excellent, though expensive. don't order a pina colada at the bar--they put lime juice in it! internet works great there!
Lovely hotel and service with a great smile”
the place was quaint and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. any time we needed a service, they didn't hesitate to help out. the food was quite nice as well. the only downside is that this is quite far from the airport (3 hours), though once there, spending 3-4 days away from everything was splendid. the place could have had a fitness room.
