Jungle living! ”
Wow just wow! We had the moon house for one night and it was by far the best resort that we ever stayed in this lifetime! They served us welcome drinks and towels when we arrived. Our friendly butler Sumadi guided us through. We passed by their own plantation near the reception. Sumadi said that their in house menu changes every day depends what’s available in their organic garden. We then took a lift made of Bamboo down to level 1. Walked thru a bamboo bridge by the river and finally reached the moon house. The greenery view is beautiful overlook the Ayung river and Riverbend house. The private pool looks a lot bigger than in pictures! The resort provides bugs/mozzies repellent, organic shampoo and shower gel. We were worried about mozzies at first but believe it or not, we did not get a single bite! We fall asleep and woke up to the river sound without the provided earplugs. We also have a door front access to the riverside pools. Brekkie was served in the room and I personally love the scrambled tofu which tasted like scrambled eggs. We also had lunch at their woodfire restaurant which was delicious as well, definitely a must try. The resort provides daily activities which guests could sign up for such as yoga, Buffalo washing, cooking classes etc. Oh don’t forget the River Pod, which you could just laze in there for hours! All in all, it was truly a great Bambu Indah experience which we will never forget. Can’t wait to go back there again!

Unforgettable stay at an amazing an innovative resort on the most beautiful land. Worth. It. ”
We loved every minute of our stay at Bambu Indah. The staff was incredibly thoughtful, kind, and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh, largely grown on the property. The aesthetic of the entire resort deserves more than the throwaway phrase of “eco-chic,” it’s a feat of human innovation intertwined with nature. There was some construction on the property as they’re building new houses and making some repairs, but it was hardly the kind of disturbance you’d usually expect. Even the temporary barriers erected in front of new construction were naturally crafted from palm leaves. The riverside pools are so lovely, and we were lucky enough to experience staying in one of the houses as well as one of the tents. If you’re expecting excessive “traditional” luxury you won’t find it here - this resort focuses on natural beauty and sustainability - you need to love the natural world to love Bambu Indah. I can’t say enough good things about this place - many thanks to the Bambu Indah staff!!!

Amazing”
This review is for the MOON HOUSE. We only got into the moonhouse for one night but it might have been one of the best places to stay ever. the moonhouse is heavenly for anyone seeking peace in nature with the most amazing eco design you can ask for. As a designer i loved every aspect of this house. The shape of the building, the beautiful bed, the open air bathtub, the toilet under the sky, the natural private pool. EVERYTHING in and around this house is special. I could stay in there forever.

Tent 2 does not have air conditioning”
Gorgeous place. Stayed at the Biru room one night and planned to stay in the Tent 2 overlooking the jungle and river with spectacular views. But it was super humid and hot that day so when examining the room it had a swamp cooler but no a/c. Thankfully the Padi house was available so we opted to stay there. Great location. Wonderful Staff...especially DAISI!

Relaxing getaway”
We stayed in African House, very comfortable large beds. With AC and fans. No mosquitos at night. Good and delicious breakfast, but the coffee options is limited (only 1 glass of black coffee include in breakfast). Unique experience in pools beside the river.

Tara for Toronto, Canada”
Bambu Indah is an inspiring Eco conscious, luxury experience. We were blown away at the concept to fruition commitment in living in a responsible, sustainable way. The dwellings, grounds and overall vibes will never be forgotten - our only regret is that we only had one night to enjoy this magical environment, next time we will plan to stay at least 3 nights to enjoy the natural setting and as many bespoke experiences as they have to offer!

Highlight of our trip!!!”
Phenomenal location in a jungle full of surprises from bamboo huts to natural spring water pool to swim in to elevator made of bamboo taking guests down to the river and sights of most gorgeous huts on the hill overlooking the river. Complimentary foot massage and incredible breakfast with variety of fruits grown on the premises. Staff was super helpful for everything!

Unique locale to explore and chill in”
Beautiful place of relaxation and unique homes for rooms. Ours was an old Java bridal house; others were pagoda houses, bamboo creations and treetop tents. Our dinner and breakfast were delicious and our waitresses were so helpful and sweet. We explored all the grounds, the natural pools, and the riverside restaurant. The sound cave tour and elevator back up through a vertical rock shaft were experiences to be remembered! Wish we had scheduled more nights here

Heaven down a well!”
Bamboo Indah resort is everything that you would wish for in a "big house" designed for family and friends that was the private accommodation of John Hardy, the Bali based, jewelry and household goods designer and manufacturer. He bought with his wife, ten or eleven Javanese bridal rooms overlooking the Java rice fields with facilities and created a Tolkien like environment for his guests. For us the centrepiece is the well based lift down to the riverside grill and river where you can while away, all day if you wish with the swallows and bats and play the bamboo poles that are cleverly designed to play notes. Awesome!

A experience you must have”
If you are open minded and love nature then this place is amazing, if you complain about being isolated and bugs and this and that then don't go. They have these natural pools wich we really enjoyed, food was very good, very organic... There is this special elevator wich goes down through a 20m hole in the ground, not for everyone but still cool. We stayed only one night in the Moon House which i think is the most unique, few mosquitoes here and there but was ok, gets noisy at night as you can hear the river near by so bring some earplugs ( they do provide but is not really effective) Overall a great experience but i have to say is a little overpriced... 500$ a night isn't for everyone.

Fantastic stay”
I loved everything about it: organic food, waterfall, relaxation and private. Best sleep I've had in ages. I wish they had good food options that didn't have garlic.

Close to heaven hotel”
I stayed one night at Moon House which is located near the river and public spring pools of the hotel. This room has its own spring pool as well. If you wish to stay closer to the nature, I would highly recommend this hotel. You would hear the river sound all night and for me it is very nice (although I thought it was raining sound). My bulter is very helpful. I would definitely go back again to stay in another type of rooms. Of course, it would be a copper house with a panoramic view of the hotel, river and forest.

Beautiful but pricey”
Amazing rustic, natural setting made to feel luxurious. Limited menu at restaurant and no other food options nearby so could get boring if staying longer than a few days. Cappuccino not included at breakfast and was additional $7.60 AUD. No coffee/tea making facilities in rooms or available.

Relaxing Getaway ”
A great place to destress and commune with nature. The river sound is so relaxing. Bigger grounds to explore and just laze around. I’ll be back with my loved ones.
