Beautiful natural setting”
Bangkok tree house is an ecofriendly and community-oriented hotel set in the beautiful bang nam phueng area of bangkok. It really does not feel like Bangkok here, more of a friendly village community. It is very wild here, full of life including huge monitor lizards! This is a great place to stay for those seeking a Glamping sort of experience outside the hustle and bustle of BKK.
Spent the night at the Bangkok Tree House for anniversary. Great location amongst Bang Kachao. Had a bit of a wait for our room, but once we went to our room was good. Was very chilled, and not too busy, so were able to relax. The rooms/facilities need to be renovated as visible signs of wear, but apart from that very pretty and green.
Great escape away from the buzy city”
After a short ferry ride we arrived on this peaceful island. And had a great weekend in the nature. The treehouse rooms are clean and a great experience. The staff is friendly and it is a big plus that they rent our bicycles for free.
Great retreat from busy Bangkok”
We really liked this 3 floors accommodation. Very spacious and well designed. Appreciated being so surrounded by green nature. The rooftop gave us the view of the trees and river and it was totally quiet at night. Truly a relaxing place.
Something a bit different”
We wanted to try something a bit different and we definitely found that with this place. It's a nice change from the norm. It's situated way out of the way and it's a bit of an adventure to find it even though it's in the city but it feels miles away. The place has a really laid back relaxed feel to it. The room itself is also an adventure with the strange steep staircase leading to the bedroom. Access to the rooftop is a nice touch and very relaxing place to site especially at night. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Would not recommend it for older people or young children as the bedroom stairs are odd and can be difficult to access. Also the rails around the upper level are at shin height so children would not be safe.
most unique experience”
everything about bangkok tree house is so singular, unique, not found anywhere else. spend a night here, you won't regret it. arrive by taking a boat ride across chao praya river, indulge on 4 colorful different flavor herbal tea as you fill in your registration form, be surprised when you walk into the most awesome hotel room ever, watch your step and don't trip as you climb the puzzly looking stairs, enjoy a warm sun bathe in early morning, take a free bicycle ride in the afternoon, grab a few nibbles from the honesty bar, watch a movie from the computer before you go to sleep. staff are friendly and helpful. and you feel like you're a tad more in touch with the earth here. a perfect stay, looking forward to returning.
Thank you for your stay, we our pleasure to make you happy:) Bkk Tree House Staff
Bangkok away from Bangkok”
We are a family with young child. Staying at Bangkok Tree House is like going to suburb out of Bangkok and enjoy slow life. We travelled by bicycle to explore the area. The hotel is very crowded and noisy on the weekends because the hotel becomes an attraction for everyone visiting the place to drop by. At night the hotel provides a firefly tour by boat which is very nice (when its not too hot). Food is good but quite expensive. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Room is cleverly designed but not suitable for old people to climb up to 2nd and 3rd floor. We are happy staying there even though the room price seems too high for this hotel standard.
An oasis just outside of Bangkok”
We stayed there on the weekend for my birthday. The overall experience was really great and memorable. The hotel is beautiful and fairly well looked after. The bed is really comfy and the room design is amazingly unique. The hotel provides many free services, namely bicycles for your enjoyable rides, in-room wifi as well as computer access and firefly tour in the evening. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are, however, some notes of cautions. It's not officially mentioned on the hotel's website but stairs in the room are not really for older people or anyone with movement problems as they are quite steep. Also, as the hotel positions itself as environment-friendly, please don't be surprised to see some ants in the room. Lastly, for same reason mentioned before, there is no aircon on the first floor (where bathroom and toilet are) and no in-room fridge (there is a commune one, however, for everyone's use).
very friendly staff, quite surrounding”
The hotel is in the island, away from the busy city of Bangkok. To get there you need to travel by car and then ferry which is very convenient and the boat ride is on 10 Mins away from the shore. Once you got there, you are in another city with full of natural and quite place.
Relaxing oasis in the green lung of Bangkok”
We spent two relaxing nights at the Bangkok Tree House enjoying the peacful atmosphere. We work in Bngkok and had never visited the area and it truely is an oasis from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hotel had bikes available on request and we explored the nearby floating market. Don't expect to find a whole lot on offer near to the hotel, the hotel has more of a quiet retreat atmosphere. The breakfast was great. The free firefly tour on the river was a nice way to spend our last evening.
Green hotel and Well designed ”
This is a green hotel. The hotel is situated near Chao Pra Ya river, you can access to the hotel by walk or by a ferry. The hotel is well-designed, designed for all environment. most of food are vegetarian but the taste is very good. It is very good for a person who look for a nice and quite place. The staffs are very friendly.
In Bangkok, but not quite.”
Staying at Bangkok Tree House is truly an experience one can never expect from Bangkok. You will actually forget that you're holidaying in Bangkok. It is so serene and peaceful. Really sexy and romantic. Ideal for couple retreats!
Very nice concept hotel”
The room is very unique and comfortable. This place is very suitable for a couple. The location is very difficult to find, especially if going there by car. It is necessary to check the location before going there. you can see the sky in the night from the rooftop and that is really fantastic.
Green House with Warm and Sincere Service”
I reserved two nights in Bangkok tree house with my boyfriend. This place is more modern than my expectation. The room is well-facilitated, with wifi, PC and air-con. The 2-storey house is absolutely spacious. It's very relaxing to stay at the roof top to enjoy sunset and stars in the evening since the weather becomes cooler. It's a bit scary to use the in-house staircase which is high and narrow! However, the interior deco is stunning that you can feel the nature even you are actually at the city of Bangkok. I would only suggest them to improve is the cleanliness of bedsheet and pillow case where I found some obvious dirt on them. The all-day dinning restaurant is another relaxing place where you can sit, chat and read for 24 hours. Ice-cream and chilled water are provided without charge as a refreshment all the day. The service is exceptional. After our reservation, we received a detailed email telling us the location, transporation and contact method which was very useful. When we arrived the pier, we were impressed that they sent a staff to pick us up and escorted us to the tree house. When we checked out, Joey, who is a nice owner, also sent a staff to assist us to leave and take a taxi. Actually, during the whole stay, the service there is outstanding that cannot be better!
A great experience. ”
Whole experience at hotel was great. Staff is very thoughtful and there are many elements of surprises that awaits (shan't spoil the suprises by revealing them here). Although hotel is located in a less developed part of BKK, there's still plenty to do to fill your day. We cycled the whole afternoon to explore the region. Watched a couple good movies on computer in room. Would have been perfect if we visited during the weekend and caught the floating market. Food at hotel was excellent although the kitchen looked basic. Almost fine-dining style at pretty reasonable rates. Complements the whole hotel experience. Note: The pier that one should head to is not called Bang Na Pier. We managed to get there by telling the taxi driver to turn left and told him we wanted to take boat by the river.
awesome place to go! must visit this unique stay!”
My husband and i are on honeymoon, and were delighted even before we arrived as we were a little lost due to language barrier with the taxi drivers. However, the owner, Joey, came to pick up us personally at the pier on a small speedboat, which really gave us a good start as it was a different experience on the speedboat. Greeted with lovely bamboo fkoats and lots of greenery.. We feel relaxed. The rooms looked very aesthetically modern and Joey has explained to us some of the eco friendly concepts behind certain interior designs and we are pleasantly surprised. We also opt for the 3hr bicycle ride led by Paul, an American who's living there for several yrs, he was passionate about the environment on that'island' and taught us many things as we embark on the ride. Really love a particular dainty looking cafe that he brought us, Homemade Coffee. The shop looks very modern sitting in the midst of many other shops. The dinner and breakfast served at the treehouse are really good. Mainly thai food with a twist.
Don't go there during high seasonal!”
I was there with my family of 4 people. There's no staff to take care of us. The staff just tell me to wait at the lobby. I was waiting at the lobby for almost 30mins before the staff start to notice us again. Then they tell us to wait another 15mins to prepare the rooms & keys. I was checking in after check in time, but the room still wasn't ready. After the staff escort me to the rooms. My brothers' room was good and clean but not mine. My room was musty, me and my mom don't feel comfortable staying in the room. So, we have to spend a lot of time in my brothers' room. (I can't change to room because the room was fully booked.) At dinner time, there's not enough staff to take care of all the guest. Everything has to wait at least 20-30 min. At breakfast, there are dirty plate everywhere, not enough staff to clean things up.
A simple, but elegant room - lovely that it is multi-level flooring. Do not go expecting 5* luxury (don't be shocked if you see some creepy crawlies), but rather a fun experience with nice staff, and great for those (especially for couples I would say) seeking a very green break from Bangkok.
Famous hotel - cute but means LOTS of instagram crowd”
Hotel was very cute; 3 story building with open air shower, a wonderful rooftop patio, and very cute room design. The glass floor in the toilet was a little disconcerting though. The hotel also offers free bike use as well as a quick night tour of fireflies. Little things that do make a difference in enjoying the experience Only downside, the hotel is very famous, which means there are tons of people walking around and stopping near your room for the "Instagram shot". Means trying to get a meal here is difficult, service including checking out can be quite slow. Dinner also is only until 6 p.m. which if you are staying in the hotel can be a bit painful. Luckily there's a restaurant next door. Dont trust the in-room menu that says you can order after 7 p.m. service doesnt exist
Cool place to stay but not sure about the green credentials”
We really enjoyed our stay - they had bicycles available for us and were pretty helpful to us. The rooms were really fun and we enjoyed the roof-top balcony. Although they claim to aim for 'zero-waste' on their website we were given disposable plastic straws during our stay and plastic bottles of water in the fridge. These things are pretty mainstay in Thailand however I would expect this hotel to go to the extra effort to remove the need for unnecessary waste.
