Best Stay on the Perhentians! ”
My wife and I recently visited the Perhentians staying on both the big island, and small island. We stayed in a air conditioned room, and upon our arrival were thoroughly impressed with both the friendliness, and professionalism of the staff from checking in, to checking out. Bayu Lodge is right on the beach with a fantastic view. We went and stayed one night after Bayu dive on the other island at other accommodation but quickly realized the lodging didn’t meet the standards of Bayu Dive Lodge so we quickly returned to finish the remainder of our stay there. Bayu’sdive shop had very affordable diving. From experience of diving all around the world I was very impressed with the dive instructors Adam, and Owen were they are among the most experienced, and professional I have dived with. They gave an in depth dive briefing to make sure everyone was on the same page, and took us to excellent dive locations. Will definitely stay at bayu dive again!

Exceptional”
Absolutely loved staying here. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots of options and very tasty. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Beach here is calm and quiet. There is a pipe, but that is not so bad. There’s a lot of places to eat. Plus you can walk to the other side of the island in around 30 mins. Or you can take a taxi boat. Easy. Very relaxing, would stay again!

Everything was perfect. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Room is clean, quiet place with a terrasse... Next to the beach... Everything is perfect. The only negative thing is maybe the food. Too expensive. There are a lot of restaurants just few meters aways offering the same food for half the price. Maybe it's better for him if they decrease the price and they will have more people and more money. It's just an advice to improve their business.

Fantastic location at Fauna Bay. Lovely little wooden chalets with terrace and bathroom on lower level. Would suggest their garden cottage with air conditioning unit as does get rather hot inside. Set in beautiful gardens next to beach. Just to let people know that they ask for a RM 100 deposit on air conditioning remote control which we got back on last day. Not a lot of choice for breakfast but OK. Would definitely return to Bayu dive Lodge. Prices a little higher than the other cafe's around for food. Great staff and always happy to help with advice on local areas, diving and snorkelling etc.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Bayu; the staff were extremely kind, the communication prior to our arrival was fantastic, the dive packages and instructor (Adam) were awesome and daily cleans were offered! Would recommend to all and will stay again if we have the opportunity.

Nice view. The room is really comfortable . Has a balcony for you to have drinks . Really good place to stay . Highly recommended. Greeted us with complimentary juice ..friendly staff. Only the food was pricey compared to the Long Beach. Overall a good stay

Very recommended. The owner and staff are very nice, friendly and funny. I accidentally booked on the wrong date, but the owner let me stay anyway and don’t make a fuss about it at all. She’s been very understanding, and I hope your business going strong each day. Bless your heart❤️

Loved my stay. Lovely/helpful staff. Excellent location. Good value. I had one of the cheaper rooms i.e. no AC but fans which was very nice—felt much like a cottage/cabin. Convenient to all activities: beach, hiking, boat transfers etc. Nice breakfast included though the lunch and dinner menu were limited and expensive. As a vegetarian, few options, though not a worry other nearby places. Do be sure to bring cash. You will not have to worry about shopping. There are NO options. How great not to be overwhelmed by junkie trinkets and t-shirts, but then no fresh fruits and veg. either and no ATMS. Snorkeling was superb. We were taken to 4 locations and saw all kinds of things from turtles to amazing corals and delightful, colorful fish. Totally enjoyed my stay.

Great location, lovely staff”
All as advertised on the website. Room is comfortable, everything works. Staff are lovely and helpful and you can't beat the location. The Arwana Beach it's on is, for me, the best beach on the island - quiet, plenty of small scale restaurants, frequented by local holidaymakers. Other beaches seem much more commercial and artificial. Plenty of diving, snorkelling and trekking options on your doorstep as well. If I ever go back to the Perhentians I'll definitely stay at Bayu again!

Great time”
After MCO happy to get out for a mid-week. Teluk Dalam beach is quiet, but has everything. The beach is kid friendly, has plenty of restaurants and has mostly low key families. Enough opportunities to go to other beaches, but happy to come back to the rest. The staff at Bayu Dive Lodge was helpful, very courteous and professional. I had a great long talk with the manager. Cabins are value for money with basic, clean and right at the beach.

Staff is really nice and the room perfectly clean. The hotel include a dive center with really good price and very professional dive instructor. The hotel is located on a quite and relaxing beach. Totally worth it

Wonderful stay and great diving with Alu Alu divers”
We stayed at the lodge for 4 nights, and even though we arrived before check-in time our cabin was ready for us. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Most of the evenings there was bbq at the restaurant with fresh catch. Breakfast has limited option and is ok. Remember you're on a remote island. If you want/expect an extensive continental breakfast buffet, you might want to consider booking at a resort. I made 3 dives with the inhouse dive company. It was great diving with Wen (sorry for misspelling your name). Very professional and he took the time to answer any questions I had prior to booking and before the dives. Once you get back at the lodge after the dive you can get tea or coffee, and a towel. A nice touch. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Perhentian islands very much.

Perfect for divers. Staff was nice and helpful. It was a beautiful place! They had some issues with power and aircon when I stayed there but they were fixing it and it meant you were outside even more! :)

We took the cheapest room and stayed 5 nights. It was clean, well located and with an amazing staff. They 7 or 8 to work there and all of them are very very friendly. It was a pleasure to stay there :) I truly recommend this place for your vacations. Except the lodge, the beach was also nice with everything needed and cheap restaurants.

A hidden gem - quiet resort, clean room, good food and excellent service”
We stayed here for 4D3Ns during the fasting month and it was exactly what we needed to unwind. We booked the Standard Chalet which did not have a balcony but we were on the beach the most of the time. The Room was VERY clean, and snug with a double bed taking up 70% of the room, but they provided drawers. This served us well as we used one of the drawer to store our snacks and our bag was put to the side. They also provided hooks for clothes, but to me, the hooks were not enough as we had 4x change of clothes! Plus I had 2 bikinis too. Advise to Bayu Management: Pls put in more clothes hooks in the room. I was initially worried that there would not be food available for breakfast and lunch as it was the fasting month, but Bayu was amazing as they opened their kitchen for their guests even though their staff were fasting! Excellent service from the staff - attentive, kind and calm. Food was delicious too although a bit on the high side. This place is really value for money AND time!
