While Chiang Mai is a famous tourist destination in Thailand, this boutique resort aims to get guests a bit closer to nature. Belle Villa Resort Chiang Mai is a mountain resort whose location is just a short drive from the city. This gives guests a feeling of total isolation which leads to a more relaxing stay. For those who enjoy a more active vacation, there are facilities on the premises for jogging, tennis, and elephant riding. Free shuttles go to the city each day if you are looking to do some shopping or exploring. Dining options include the Maew Ra Rueng restaurant which serves European dishes, authentic Thai food, and original northern cuisine while the Terrace serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner close to the pool area. When you're ready to book a room at Belle Villa Resort Chiang Mai, please enter your travel dates into the secure online booking form and click.

Unfortunately we made the mistake of trusting the pictures online of the "resort". Perhaps in some former time it was well managed and looked after, but those days seem long gone. The location in the hills was nice and green and peaceful. The grounds were well kept and were beautiful. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and from the outside it looked nice. That is where the positives end. Of the two pools shown on the website, one was permanently out of use. The other was filthy, then closed for cleaning for the remaining two days of our stay. The breakfast included was below the standard at similar priced Thai hotels. In our apartment, there was a sofa that was very old and dirty, several of the lights did not work, the internet did not work and their were infestations of ants. The bottles of drinking water provided tasted something like blue-vein cheese. Disappointingly, there was so much potential but because of mismanagement we would not return or recommend the villa to anyone.
Beautiful place near farmland and nice environment”
One of the best resort I stayed in chiang mai, though I haven't been to many expensive one, this place is low cost with promotional price. Whe roaming around, it feels like I am in europe, yet the food is local and fairly priced, nice swimming pool but lots of ants enjoying the pool as well. Staff is very friendly and accomodating, changed our room to easy access due to older people. room is big and adjoining, good water heater, air con works well, enjoyed the balcony at night in the cool winter wind, walked among the farmland of vegetable and banana, great restaurant just outside of the resort (walk 10 mins from hotel room), beautiful river stream... good place for a nice relaxing stay.
Peaceful in getaway location”
We had stayed in a special deluxe type for 3 nights hope to get full rest for a long holiday. Noted from previous review about remote location up on the mountain we drove 50min from CNX downtown. But the bed was awfully hard just like you sleep on the floor. We tried to have a sightseeing around Mae Rim and get there as late as possible coz no activities at the resort. Fitness was left uncared. Swimming pool was ice cold and water seem dirty. They have arranged a little flower garden for photo. Only massage and spa was OK with reasonable price. It should have been a perfect getaway if the bed was comfy so everyone would have a real rest.
Absolutely Fantastic ”
Best hotel we stayed in during our trip, even better then the so called 5 star hotel in Phuket, amazing location, friendliest and most helpful staff, would recommend 10/10 to anyone going to chaing mai
Comfort in beautiful mountain setting”
Perfect for people looking for a remote mountain location. This is not 5 stars but excellent value for money. Rooms are large and comfortable, facilities quite nice (large pool, tennis court, nice spa, huge garden...). Service is attentive and friendly. Just make sure you have your own transport as this is in a very beautiful mountain spot, but isolated and 40mn drive from Chiang Mai.
Enjoyed our family stay very much. Swimming pools were used a lot. Facility is nicer than advertise.”
Staff was very helpful and accommodating . The breakfast, that comes with the purchase of the rooms, was one of the best in this area of Resorts. Other restaurants close by. Beautiful tropical mountain setting. Recommend for any families enjoyment. We really enjoyed what this facility offered and the friendly helpful staff.
Great place to do nothing”
Not a lot to do without travelling a bit but you won't get a cheaper hotel with this sort of facilities. Rooms big and clean, nice food and pools are exceptional (a bit cold though). Surrounding area is beautiful but you will need transport.
Very relaxing place”
Staying almost every year at Belle Villa during Christmas Season. In a splendid mountain valley, 30km out of Chiang Mai, with a large garden and nice facilities (tennis, pool, spa). Not much to do but extremely relaxing, excellent local food, attentive service from the staff.
I feel very impressed stay at this hotel. Food is quite nice, delicious and very nice break fast. My son very happy when he saw the elephant during our breakfast. We have a chance to feed the elephant together. Very nice garden and all staff are helpful.I'm really recommend.
paradise but remote from chiang mai”
Stay here if you have young kids and not interested in visiting Chiang Mai in the evening. The place is so remote taxi drivers cant find and it takes an age to get home.Cost of food and drink is just what you would expect from a resort way out in the sticks but you cant fault the quality or the friendly staff who work there. You will pay for all extras such as Airport pick up tennis sauna etc.
Elephants for Breakfast”
This is a nice hotel in a peaceful rural area. It is nice to hear the birds as you wake up and see the elephants playing tricks for you at breakfast. I would stay here again. Be aware it is 25 kms from Chiang mai so you won't use it to go to town regularly
Great location for visiting elephants nearby and quiet. Hotel is looking tired and needs renovation, have been visiting here for about 8 years and nothing has changed. Breakfast buffet is disappointing, food sometimes cold & no variation.
Patara Elephant Farm is close by, and that is it. If you do not have transportation, you will get cabin fever feeling after a while. Great place to unwind for just a few days, the pool is outstanding!
ANTS EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STAFF NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!! nuff said'
Forget about a swimming pool”
Swimming pool was so dirty i would not get in , the food was so overpriced it was behond a joke , breakfast is good if its free with room , the rooms were clean but too many down points to recommend
Good view good room and comfortable good breakfast
Pros. Amazing view from the balcony Building surrounded by nature Friendly staff and clean room Cons. Far from city 500+baht by taxi pricey menu in restaurant Would come back again
First two nights stayed in unit away from main building. Room was small, no desk or chair, not clean and had tons of ants. Rest of stay in room adjoining main building. Nice room, comfortable. Dining facilities, inside and outside, too many flies and ants. Food just okay. Property in nice location outside Chiang Mai.
We enjoyed our time at Belle Villa. The rooms were large enough, the house we rented had a nice big living room where our group could gather, and the pools were beautiful. The staff were friendly and served a wonderful breakfast every morning. There are various other restaurants within easy walking distance for other meals. There is also a place within walking distance where you can feed and ride elephants. Our only disappointment was the mold in the one bedroom. It was growing on the walls and I think it was in the air con as well. We were glad we only had to sleep in there 2 nights!
