The location is great, right off the beach, in the forest full of monkeys, lizards, frogs, etc. There's a nice restaurant with tasty and affordable food and various hammocks and seats to chill in the shadow. The beach isn't particularly interesting but is good for swimming at high tide. Other than that, there's not much to do there but that's kinda a purpose of coming to Koh Pu in the first place, right? The staff were great, very kind, could arrange everything from custom meals for a baby to transfers, ferries, etc. On the downside - the room is very basic, dark, it's hard to survive inside during the day as there's only a small fan (at night it's fine). Wifi only works at the restaurant and nearby so most cottages are out of reach and there's only one unused socket in the room. It was an issue for us coming with a small baby that needs to sleep during the day in moderate temperatures but I can imagine other travellers will have a great time at Bonhomie.
Bonhomie Beach is a super relaxed place directly on the beautiful beach. The owner and his wife and staff are exceptionally friendly and really helpful with everything you need. The homemade food is delicious, we stayed for three nights and had dinner and also lunch there everyday. The bungalows are very clean and equipped with everything you need. Highly recommended. Hope to come back there soon.
We needed a minute to adjust to the island vibe. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel. The cabins are rustic and could use some work, but nothing beats the location and the friendliness of the manager Surin and his wife. At low tide the beach is a bit rocky, but you can still get in the water. At high tide it’s perfect, nice beach and shallow water. The food at the restaurant is very tasty and affordable. We definitely recommend Bonhomie!
Whilst I didn’t recommend this place others will love it. It’s got the basic feel Asia had in the 1990s. A shack with a bathroom floor that’s smooth rocks cemented together. I had to stick a coin in the fan switch to get it going. Quaint. The top of the bin needed a clean. But a lovely unspoilt location with a lot of similar places, each with their own bars fanning down the beach. All those I spoke to were my age (60) and they totally adored it. It’s probably just not for me anymore.

Wish we had longer here, the island is so natural, bonhomie is in great spot run by great people service was excellent bungalows were all stone and wood and comfortably finished, was the softest mattress I came across In Thailand, beachfront location has lots of friendly dogs and monkeys, food was delicious fresh seafood all very reasonably priced, a great place to relax, the right amount of tourists in that all the facilities are available but not the crowds, will be back again
