A perfect small hotel with separate bungalows right on the best beach in Koh Lanta. The beach is filled with various restaurants and bars, all walking distance from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay and very relaxing location. The staff was very kind and helpful always. It’s definitely a recommendation when staying in Koh Lanta. There’s no pool but it’s right at a very nice beach, so we didn’t miss anything there. Food in the restaurant is also recommendable, very delicious and great value for money too

We cannot believe the price we paid for this room. We usually stay in the cheapest or one of the cheapest places in a city, Klong Dao was one of those in Koh Lanta and what luxury it was! It is literally right on the beach, the room was very spacious and the bed/sheets were very comfrotable. There is a tv and fridge in the room and the bathroom is lovely. The owner was so incredibly nice, our favourite so far in 12 months of travelling SEA. One of us was sick with a fever and he could not have been more helpful. Recommend x 100

We would stay at this hotel again if coming to koh Lanta. It was a great price. Good ac and a fan too:) it was nice renting a scooter directly from our hotel and the owners are very nice and very trustworthy.

Everything about Keerelay was perfect, not far from the beach but far away enough to avoid the crowds and busy roads. They provide modern spacious villas with a lovely mountain view, moreover rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and water/coffee always provided. All amenities are good; breakfast and wi-fi are great, free bikes are provided, cheap laundry is offered, they even put live English Premier League games on for me to watch! Price wise this is easily the best value stay we've had in the whole of Thailand, you pay a budget hotel price but get a luxury villa without breaking the bank - which many beachfront villas do! In order to properly see Koh Lanta you'll need a scooter which are widely advertised throughout the island for 300-500 baht per day, Keerelay offer you one of theirs for just 200 baht (also saving you putting down a large deposit elsewhere). Best off all the owners were the most welcoming we've seen, they'll go out of their way to help you and ensure you have a great stay! They will happily book you tours or onward travel and even phone around to make sure you get the cheapest rate. Overall we had a fantastic stay and I would recommend them to anyone whether you're solo, a group of friends, a couple or even a family, Keerelay will be sure to provide you with a memorable stay!

We made the mistake of booking based on value. However I think Koh Lanta in general has few options so I’m not disappointed with this property. They do oversell themselves with the sea view. It’s basically a view through 300 feet of trees and a small herd of cows. The area itself is a bit sparse in regards to activity but quiet, safe and relatively clean. Ask for the upgraded rooms. AC in the rooms is a bit weak so you’ll need the in room fan as well.

The owner will remember your name when arrive, it's AC room even though my order was a fan room. Room is new, nice bath, the AC is very powerful, enjoy it at Koh Lanta. About 2 km to the local market before dark time, cheap food and cheap seafood.

The room was super clean. The couple that run this resort are very kind. Both of them are always ready to lend a hand or to answer any questions you may have. Although their English isnt the best they always worked out what was being said.

We stayed here for 3 nights after taking in a week of quiet jungle time. It's so close to Klong Khong Beach you can smell the ocean in the air. This beach is more of the party zone rather than fancy villas/resorts like other beaches, so keep that in mind if you're looking for a specific good time. We stayed in an air con bungalow, was not the Ritz but did it's job well for us. Right next to the bungalow was a communal kitchen for 24 hour use to guests, with markets and stores within walking distance to buy your own food for cooking. They offered scooter rentals, we had major problems with that. The company they rented through gave us a scooter with a bad wheel (the wheel had a spoke that kept puncturing the o-ring, hence flat tire two times in a row.) We wound up leaving the scooter parked on the side of the road and walked back to the property and handed in the keys the same day we rented the scooter. They were kind enough to take care of everything, despite the contract we signed saying that we were responsible for anything with the scooter. They refunded us the $250 baht we payed to rent it, plus what we payed ourselves to get the tire fixed the first time it happened (150 baht) They didn't have to do that, but they did and that was very kind of them during extreme circumstances. It seemed like everyone else riding scooters there were not having issues, so I think we were just having unfortunate luck. For the price (so much cheaper than far far worse options out there) is worth the stay. If you stay away from restaurants on the beach, you can find cheaper better ones just down the road from this property of the main drag. Great location if this is the area of videos you're looking for. (FlinStoned Bar is a 5 minute walk away down the beach, didn't go for the cocktails on the menu ;) Also, this property offers all sorts of tours and good prices, taxi service, destination out of Koh Lanta... Might be worth going through them and save yourself a few doll

The bed was incredibly comfy, the bathroom really good and all the facilities we wanted were there: air con, kettle, tea and coffee and a fridge. Also, the room was cleaned every day and we also got two bottles of fresh water every day. Very nice. Mr Pong is super nice and helped us find transport to our next destination. The location is a bit secluded, which we liked. We definitely recomment renting a scooter on your days on Koh Lanta and explore the island. You could even rent them at Baan Khao Mai Kaew Lanta Village.

Horizon was great would highly recommend. Fun,Great food (try the tuna salad),family friendly,super chilled out. Staff where brilliant... very relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed playing volleyball/football on the beach with tourists, also the occasional game of jenga ☺ Night time BBQ was fantastic. Great value for money if you travelling & on a tight budget. Also having hammocks everywhere makes it very hard to leave.

We enjoyed our stay at Lanta Bee Garden Bungalows very much. The rooms were spotless and kept that way during our stay. The staff was very accommodating when we requested a ground floor room due to a foot injury. If there were any questions, they were always pleasant and went out of their way to assist. We found the restaurant to be convenient and a lovely setting for sitting and watching the water. We would have liked a kettle in the room, however, as one other reviewer mentioned, that would take away from their restaurant business. There are tours available to book through the hotel. We rented a car and drove around which was a convenient and fun way to see the island. There is a 7-11 across the street and a few other places within walking distance.

nothing fancy, has about 10 small, clean, no-frills bamboo huts (adorable!) with access to shared bathrooms/showers, and a handful of full sized villa suites with A/C and private bathrooms. the property is located right on the beach (!!!) at the south end of all the bars in Klong Khong, so its quiet, private, and very convenient for a night out on the beach.. Also only about a 5 min walk to town and 7-11. The staff/family here was wonderful. Very nice, welcoming and helpful. Also spoke very good english and all smiles! Their food was delicious, they arranged the best priced motorbike I could find, and even had a detailed bike map of the island available which was quite helpful. I dont normally write reviews, but felt A&J deserve to get one here. Really made my stay in Koh Lanta special and one to remember. I would love to come back and stay with them again.

Thai Smile Bungalows is an absolutely lovely place. The bungalows are beautifully designed and decorated with careful attention to detail. It is evident that the owners (a British man and his Thai wife who is a chef) put a lot of love into their bungalows wanting to make everything comfortable and serene for their guests. The bed is super comfortable, the hot shower is great, and I can't believe how clean they made the room each day, seriously. We were lucky to have the jungle room with two balconies, which was nice as the terrace in the back has more privacy (but still very nice to sit out front too). However if you stay here, it is probably best to rent a motorbike to explore other beaches which you can easily do right from the guesthouse since the beach that it is near is quite rocky - but renting a motorbike is part of the fun of Koh Lanta anyway. Dave picked us up from our other hotel in Koh Lanta and was always down for a chat. It is clear that making their guests happy is a top priority and I have no doubt they will continue to do well with their bungalows! Great to have some genuine hospitality that seems hard to come by these days. Thank you for a beautiful stay!

A clean bungalow in a good location, renting a scooter is a must in Koh Lanta and this hotel is right on the Main Street. German Bakery across the street is a good spot.

Very well located along Long Beach, the bungalow is only 30 meters away from the seaside. The bungalow is nice, quite spacious. You have hot shower, own fridge and your fan. The top is the little terrasse with a table and bench (and also an hammoc) where you can chill in the evening. The only drawback is that there is no wifi in the room. There is wifi at the restaurant but you feel a bit obliged to order something even if you live next door. Service could be improved with a smile and more attention to the current customers. Cannot say anything about the price, it is really interesting for the location (450 bhat for fan, 500 bhat for aircon). We read a lot of review stating that there are a lot of insects in the room. We had some ants but it is quite normal in tropical area like here. We have extended our stay with 5 days after looking for others rooms around. Good value for money.

Cheaper than hostels and much nicer! Private room and private bathroom. Very clean, free water everyday. Very cute dogs. Book this!!!!

We had a great time at Angel Lanta! We originally intended to only stay for 1 night but ended up extending for 3 nights! Your personal bungalow comes attached with a hammock and 2 bamboo chairs right outside to just chill and relax. The ensuite "outdoor" toilet was interesting - fret not, you have a roof over your head and the 360 wooden "walls" around it is perfectly safe! There was the occasional fly and beetle that would crawl through, but hey... that's what living among the trees gets you! The bed was comfortable and it comes attached with the mosquito net so you will be 99% protected from flies, coupled with the A/C on; you'll be a-okay! Suntanon was superbly helpful and she basically runs the travel desk where you can book all your dive/snorkel/boat trips along with renting a scooter and getting ferry tickets! We had such a great time at Angel Lanta! :)

myself and my older daughter had a wonderful stay there in the huts. Etta was a lovely hostess and always was ready to help and feed us-especially breakfast. we booked a bOAT trip with her to the emerald cave. it was amazing and has a beautiful little secret-i wont ruin it for you. we had a wonderful week in koh lanta. its an amazing little island and although i wanted to stay at the beach the woods was a gorgeous alternative. thank you to Etta our sweet hostess

Well, there are some parties on few days - but in whole area you live safe and silent with ear plugs ;) The money you safe in hello me me you can invest in a lot of other things like tours or massages. Room gets cleaned as often you ask for. Water is only "cold" but who needs warm water here? It's damn hot! :) Best: water pressure is very high. So nice under the shower! Worst: no sink. But you will be able to manage your morning wash. As others mentioned: the mattress is very stony. But this did not held us from sleeping :) Best for this budget!

This place was really fun and we really enjoyed our bungalow! When we booked our bungalow the pictures showed a bed on agoda but the actual room we booked had a mat on the floor. However, the staff let us upgrade to the better for more money. Unfortunate we had to pay more but was worth the extra. Be careful when you are booking that you’re actually getting what’s in the picture. Overall a very good experience :)

We loved our little bamboo bungalow and the owner is a great man. We had a couple of issues with water not working at certain times of day but he would get these sorted quite quickly. We kept our mosquito net over the bed at all times and just had a couple of cockroaches in the bathroom give us a fright. One thing I would say is that we could have done with having the bathroom bin emptied at some point we were there 4 nights and it seemed to attract a lot of flies and mozzies. The motorbike was an absolute dream the roads around Koh Lanta are decent and traffic light so it really allows to get out and see the island. All in all highly recommend this to anyone looking for good value for money and a base to explore the island from.

I would recommend this hostel for a stay on koh lanta. It wasn't anything fancy but it was clean, functional and the staff were very nice. The receptionist was really good about giving me a refund after I had to cut my trip short.

Owner is very friendly and classic thai smile. Room was amazing I did pay a discount low season rate so was very pleased with what I got. Huge open room that opens to a big balcony with cute table for having coffee or a smoke looking out to the garden. Room inside has a open floor plan with lovely high vaulted ceilings which makes it feel very big Inside. Big comfy King size bed nice blankets plenty of outlets. Bathroom was recently redone with new sink, mirror, toilet with auto closing lid, new hot shower with nice big shower head.

I stayed for 10 days in a fan bungalow - a very big comfortable place. The girl in the office (whose name I didn't catch) was so nice, friendly and helpful. If i am ever back on koh lanta, and i hope i am, i will definitely stay here. A little gem of a place!

What a find - having read the previous reviews we were hoping for something special but we were absolutely blown away by this location! The view when the tide is high is out of this world! We were especially lucky as we arrived on the first day of the Lanta Lanta festival and had an absolutely fabulous time here. We were so glad we stayed in the Old Town - even without the festival there was plenty to do and loads of great restaurants (some of the best food we had in Thailand). The room was spacious and extremely clean, the owners were very helpful and friendly - thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we hope to return!

A twenty or so bungalows, situated in a quiet garden, with a lot of space between them. Some have airco, some a fan. Some are old-fashion thai-style (on poles, wood and bamboo), most are modern, concrete. Ours (old fashion style) had the basic things we expect in a bungalow, except a fridge. Closet water pipe leaks a little, toilet door swings open all the time, we repair it. Two minutes walking along a path between trees leads to a fine beach, with three other small resorts with restaurant and bar, and Samita Travel Agency with a good humoured and alert lady. That small distance makes Sun Moon a relatively quiet place, where in the night we enjoyed the concert of the frogs. We kept our food well locked, because first day there were some monkeys quite eager to share our fruit. Sometimes a monitor lizard crossed our way to the beach, and we saw some pond herons tread on the water leaves. There were the usual minahs, doves and coucals. That beach is one of the last beaches in the south. Our taxidriver asked 800 Bht to bring us, but after some dealing was content with 500 Bht, and it took half an hour. The owner (Tum) and his wife do their best to maintain everything, but it was clear they lacked some capable staff. There is wifi at the entrance at the street, and there are also a restaurant and a bar (with pool billiard). The young bartenders seemed to love loud music (pop, reggae), but were quite willing to turn the level down when asked. Rental of motobikes is offered by the travel agency, and by the shop/restaurant at the opposite of the street. Another restaurant and one other shop are at walking distance. Elephant trekking round the corner, and the National Park with its beautiful trail and beaches is on two minutes motobike distance. I noticed some nasty remarks on internet about the owner and his temper. I can only add that to us Tum appeared as maybe a little bit stressed, but very friendly, courtious and helpful, as well as his wife.

The cheapest we found in Koh Lanta south beaches, such as Kantiang and Bamboo. The nature is awesome, the bungalows are 300m from the beach, and they're pretty comfortable if you're ok with living simply. Only cold shower as most Thai hotels, and the toilet in the fan room is dirty with something that cannot be washed. The staff were cool but very insistent in us to buy them trips at higher prices than in the town. After some talk we could get normal prices. Would not recommend for a family, but it's a nice place for a couple to relax a few days
