Comfortable, new modern room in the middle of Shinjuku”
This hotel and the room are really new and modern! Very comfortable stay for 3 nights. Room is on the small side, but quite typical of hotels in Tokyo. The location is alright, very near many eateries and malls and it is safe to walk at night even though it is located in Kabukicho. The only thing is that it is not a short walk to the station. Staff and service are good, fast and efficient.
Good but basic”
Most hotels in the area are on the expensive side. You can pay and extra $40 a night and get room service and a gym but if you want a basic room in a good location this is a good pick. They have no room service or gym.
Great hotel in the right location! ”
Well located to everything including several local metro / subway stations. Clean and bright room. Nice bathroom. Also we’ll located to the Golden Gai for anyone fancying a tipple or two before bed! Would highly recommend!
Strategic location, short distance from JR station and few subway line stations. Convenient to access everywhere. Hotel is located at night club street so very happening at night. Room sound proud need to improve, other than that worth for staying.
Nice location but res light district at night”
I loved the location to good early am coffee and for being jet lagged lots to walk around and see. Perfect shopping too. But I saw trash in the hall and near elevator that should have been noticed. The staff super nice and held our luggage for a week even though we come back to their sister property that we mistakenly booked thinking it was the same location. How nice!
Very good location with above average room size”
The location is very good. Around 12mins walk from main Shinjuku Station, and practically walking distance to everywhere like the popular park for Hanami (Shinjuku Gyoen), party place Golden Gai, Isetan depachiku, Ichiran ramen, Bic Camera, Don Quixote, and many others. Theres a convenient store at the ground level of the hotel building. Room size is above average of Japanese hotels. Staff are very fluent in English, cheerful and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again when coming to Tokyo.
Reliable, clean, spacious, good value for the price, great location”
Our second time staying here. We even checked in at a different hotel and switched mid-way through our trip. This hotel is the most spacious/good value hotel when compared to any other hotel in the shinjuku area.
As in many Tokyo Hotels, the rooms are quite small here. But they do a great job in keeping it functional. Staff is efficient in cleaning and replacing bathroom supplies. Loved location, close to Shinjuku restaurants , bars and shops. Overall, a great choice if you want to stay in Shinjuku.
First Time In Citadines”
My husband and myself travel to Tokyo every year. This time we decided to bring the kids again. We decided to stay here than Sunroute Plaza bec we had to get 2 rooms. My kids are 13 and 10. It's convenient to have Lawson right at the ground level. i love that we get our rooms serviced everyday. The cleaners are lovely. Breakfast is nothing fancy but good enough to keep us full the whole day. After walking about 20k a day, it was good to go back to the hotel and lie down. It's great how clean it is, as long as you dont look at the carpet because they look a bit worn out. You need to take 2 lift to get to our room level. We were lucky to get the last room at the end of the hall so it was more spacious.
Just a short walk from Shinjuku train station with many restaurants and shopping areas near by. There is also a Lawsons downstairs and the Robot Restaurant is just 5 mins walk away. Rooms were clean, new and of reasonable size. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Nice for overnight stay.”
Stayed here for one night only as leaving the next day. Room was clean except for one spot of sticky carpet. Could do with updating decor. Not the usual Citadines standard. Didn’t like the location as was in the heat of pubs and bars and would be more suitable for people wanting to club as all bars and nightclubs are here. Close to Robot Show. Was ok for overnight but not ideal for more than that.
Nice Location At A Higher Cost”
Hotel in Tokyo tend to be small with limited space for walking around. This room is no different. The only good thing is that it is within walking distance from the main Shinjuku street where all the shopping & entertainment could be found. We can even walk to Shinjuku Gyeon Garden to see the cherry blossom. The price is high but for the convenient as transport in Tokyo can be very expensive.
Good location. Shinjuku is very lively. Lots of shops, restaurants open till late. Love the night lights. A convenience store just opposite. It’s walking distance to Shinjuku JR station and a few other local train lines as well. The hotel staff are friendly. We were able to leave our bags days prior to our stay there which was very helpful. The room was clean and had a nice view on high floor (thank you). The pillow and bed is comfortable, although would be better if the bed was not against the wall. Just a gap between might prevent one from hitting the wall at night. We could also hear the neighbouring room doors close, people talking and baggage movement sometimes. But all in all. Good stay and will stay again. Thank you.
Nice hotel in Shinjuku”
The internet is fast. Hotel room is very spacious in comparison to other hotels at this price range in the area. It is not too far away from Shinjuku station but you got to walk around 2 - 3 blocks which is not really a problem if you don't carry too much luggage. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast buffet is OK. Location wise for staying in Shinjuku is very good.
Great location and clean tidy room”
Backs onto the Golden Gai area of small bars, close walk to Shinjuku stations, small clean room but typical size for Tokyo, surprisingly spacious bathroom with separate shower / small bathtub arrangement. Would recommend staying here again.
Great location for foodies!”
If you like convenience during your travel, this hotel is about a 10 min walk to Shinjuku JR Station. This makes travelling around Tokyo very easy on the feet. The Kabukicho area may be known to be the red light area but in terms of safety (it is Japan!), you have nothing to worry about at all!
Glad to have stayed there”
close to good restaurants and the station. Hawkers and nightlife great if that's what you're into. Near everything. Clean and four star hotel treatment and amenities. Excellent bed and room and very clean, nice bathroom.
Very good hotel”
Very good hotel well positioned in Shinjuku. Everything is ok. However this is the red light/bar area of shinjuku, may not be appropriate for children beware of this though. Everything else is fine, a convenient store at ground floor, countless restaurants.
Good Tokyo Hotel”
Second time staying here, and I still find the hotel to be good value for Money, by Tokyo standards. The room isn't huge, but is large enough to include a sofa and desk (which is a rarity for this price-point in central Tokyo). Bathroom is also generous. Location is ideal for the Golden Gai, Skinjuku Central, Entertainment and local restaurants.
location is good and the room is nice”
i will surely comeback and stay here since many 24 hrs restaurants and minimarket around the hotel and the room is nice as well
