Bendigo has certainly come a lone way in the past few years It is one of the most foodie and wine areas , with some amazing restaurants , cafes and wine bars The Arts and Theatre Building of Ullumburra (The Old Goal) is one of the best i have seen , I think people visiting Bendigo these days will be very amazed on what this town has to offer and would highly recommend and day, weekend or up to a weeks visit to take it in and fully appreciate what they now have
Bendigo is a very lovely city, with a fair bit of history. It is not too far from the city so it is quite nice.
Bendigo is a large rural city with 150+ years of gold mining History. there is a large historical significance which is evident in the buildings and architecture.
a large chinese museum and picturesque gardens are well worth the visit. and must take the tram and visit Deborah Gold Mine the city is easy to navigate and a trip to the tourist centre is recommended. plenty of places to eat at very reasonable prices. many hotels and resorts to stay and found locals friendly and informative.
Gardens lovely. Tram wonderful. Chinese museum great. Good shops. Lovely old buildings. Wonderful Catholic Cathedral.
