Best hotels & accommodations in Bendigo

We stayed 3 nights over the weekend of 21-24 July, and we found the room very clean, spacious, and warm (had some time to balance out the heating of the room). If you like quiet, ask for a room without a connecting door. We were able to walk to the Cathedral (which we had a view of from the room) and visit it around and inside - it is a must-see. Cafes on nearby View ...

The Brougham Arms is within easy walking distance of Bendigo Train station and the CBD. It provides quiet and comfortable accomodation with a recommended restaurant attached. If you are looking for a 3 1/2 star motel close to facilities and very close to transport (especially if you are training from Melbourne) then it is definitely worth considering.

Very friendly and attentive service. Phil went out of his way to either say g'day or help us with any request we had. He even found a great extra parking space for my Harley. Anyone looking for a no hassle extremely people friendly Motel to stay whilst in Bendigo, then the Bendigo Golden Square Motor Inn is a must have acquisition. See you next time guys...

I stayed here as i was back in Bendigo for a few days to catch up with family and old school friends. The reason I chose here was because I started my cooking apprenticeship here when it reopened in 1981 and had never stayed here before. Great service and staff - decent basic continental breakfast - thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Its pleasant and a clean hotel. Hotel is in quite area. Very modern rooms with white walls, fresh carpet and tiles and comfortable beds. Feels very bright. Toilet and shower are tidy and clean too. They maintain the place very well. Will certainly stay here again and highly recommended. A big thanks for the receptionist for arranging and providing the late check out re...

When I was booking I put in the wrong date. Cancelled immediately and rebooked. But still charged A smoke alarm woke me and everyone near midnight but no fire or smoke Early morning argument in neighboring room in the early morning Must have Tissue paper walls Great location Nice clean rooms

We had an overnight stay in Kangaroo Flat a suburb of Bendigo and the Motel was convenient to our destination. We were pleased with the manager allowing us to access our room in the morning to off load our belongings. The room was larger than an average motel room and had all the equipment needed to be comfortable. The room was very clean and had a good size modern...

We loved the fact we could leave the car at home and walk to everything , the reception staff at The Wine Bank are very welcoming and full of helpful hints on places to go ... rooms were very well maintenance and beautiful furnishings, nice modern bathroom

We booked the hotel for a night to stay in town for a snooker tournament, and I have to admit although it was a tad pricey, we were very satisfied. Location-wise, it's a 5minutes drive to the city center, the room was spacious and clean, each room had it's own car spot right in front of the room. We didn't get a chance to use the indoor pool, but it looks like a nice ...

The room was on the more expensive side given we went during Groove the Moo weekend in Bendigo. Great location and the view from the room showed a nice sunrise. Was unable to check in early but the staff were kind enough to give us our keys first and also bring our bags to our room while we were gone. Can’t praise the girls at reception enough, they were very helpful....

I had a rushed interstate trip for a cousin's funeral in Bendigo and found The Happy Wanderer accomodation online. The price was much cheaper than comparable accomodation which initially made me apprehensive that it might be less than adequate, but I was pleasantly surprised by my cheap stay. The only gripe I'd have was that the online system would not accept my gmail ...

The bed was super comfortable- the addition of an electric blanket this time of the year was a Godsend for someone that lives in the Philippines and works in the Top End. Addition of a small couch and table and chairs made it very comfortable for just kicking back in the room. Easy walking distance from plenty of coffee and eating options. Being from Bendigo originally...

The City Centre motel in bendigo was the centre of town. After a great day of shopping, we only, we did not have to get a taxi as the motel was close. The evening meal was only 50 meters to the main street again and many restraunts, from Mcdonalds to high end eateries were all open. This Motel is in an ideal posiion whether you have family or a day out shopping. Clean,...

Fantastic location so close to hospital, very clean room and comfortable bed. Facility let down by 1. No individual temperature control in room, hence one had to open windows to cool room overnight and was then 2. Exposed to mosquitoes and constant traffic noise, even through the night, as facility is on main truck route through Bendigo. With double glazing and split...

Stayed here for one night with my family and couldn't fault the place. You are greeted with lovely friendly staff who make you feel welcome straight away and help you with any enquires including recommending good places to eat and calling and booking a table for you. The rooms are neat and tidy, the bed and pillows comfy, unlike other hotels where you wake with a sore...

Good accommodation and great location for me, quick trip from Brisbane to Melbourne, drive to Bendigo for an overnighter. Clean shower/basin/toilet. Bed was comfortable for me, electric blanket worked well Will definitely stay again and recommend to all.

If you are after 5* with chandeliers & gold plate around the mirrors, this is not the place for you. It is comfy, well-appointed and efficient and has all the basic mod-cons. The staff are very well-attendant to your needs (a nice little service was the buckets with squeegees to remove the frost from your windscreen on July mornings). The room was set-up to allow me ...

Studio apartment at the Quest was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Great value for money and staff were very friendly and efficient service at check-in. Would highly recommend for anyone staying at Bendigo. Only complaint was the amount of parking available for guests which isn't sufficient. We had a motor bike and had to park on side walk infront of reception ...

Arrived early and as room was ready we were given the key and allowed to put our things in the room as we were going to visit family friends about 110kms away and would not be back until late that evening. Not sure on the exact location were relatives lived and went to reception to ask if a map was available. Management gave us a loan of their own detailed map book. ...

The A Line Holiday Village was a fantastic venue. It is situated just outside Kangaroo Flat and the city of Bendigo. The grounds in the Park are beautifully kept and the cabins are large, well equipped and private. The Park is set amongst trees and on a service road off the highway. The stay was a pleasant surprise. Our room was an average size but clean and we'll cared for,was only a step or 2 from the shared bathroom. Once out of the room the shared kitchen, dining and entertainment areas provided opportunity to meet and relate to other guests. The location walking distance to bendigo cbd, shopping and tourism. No meals were available but kitchen ...

Grandparent of 2 little ones and had to find accommodation at last minute. I miss booked online and Greg went out of his way to help me, which was great for a very stressed out Granny! The cabin we stayed was great for us and also the playroom and park was perfect for the kids. I will stay there again for a break for sure. Highly recommended

We were very grateful with the service from staff member Sandra who went out of her way to make our stay very comfortable. We were assigned an apartment upstairs but the spiral stairs to our first assigned room was very steep and narrow. We had a disability person in our group so we were accommodated in a downstairs apartment (No 6)which was very spacious and clean. Go...

Traveler impressions of Bendigo
Bendigo has certainly come a lone way in the past few years It is one of the most foodie and wine areas , with some amazing restaurants , cafes and wine bars The Arts and Theatre Building of Ullumburra (The Old Goal) is one of the best i have seen , I think people visiting Bendigo these days will be very amazed on what this town has to offer and would highly recommend and day, weekend or up to a weeks visit to take it in and fully appreciate what they now have
Bendigo is a very lovely city, with a fair bit of history. It is not too far from the city so it is quite nice.

More about Bendigo
Exploring the city’s history and taking in the architecture are the highlights of a stay in Bendigo. The work of architect William Charles Vahland can be seen throughout the city. He is credited for setting the most popular residential design of the period and transforming the Town Hall into a grand building. The Alexandra Fountain, the Capital Theater, and the Law Courts are but a few of the more than 80 buildings designed by Vahland. Catch glimpses of his work as you head to such hotspots as Chancery Lane or Rosalind Park. For a peek into the past, take a tour at the Central Deborah Gold Mine or ride the historic Bendigo Tramway. The Golden Dragon Museum is a unique and interesting museum for this area, and a favorite destination among visitors. A number of wineries add to the flavor of the area and are well worth a visit.
