"This could be one of the best hostels in thailand! the best in chiang rai for sure! Extremely friendly staff, comfortable bed and blanket (that make me hard to get out of bed 😂). Clean kitchen, clean toilet, and great common room, also not to mention the swimming pool area! so cozy! Location wise, 5-10 minutes walk to bus station 1, night market, night bazaar. This hostel is very quiet at night and has a peaceful surroundings. not for party goers definitely but its heaven for those seeking peace! Sad to leave this hostel early, would recommend this hostel to anyone! MUST TRY! "

"This is my first time at this hotel and it’s the best of the 3 hotels I have stayed in Chiang Rai. The location is very good in the centre of the traditional part of Chiang Rai. There are plenty of Thai and foreign restaurants nearby. The Night Bazaar is only 2 minutes’ walk and these markets are great affordable shopping with cheap eating options. The room was very pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is great with much variety. The staff are friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport is only 100 THB per person. The swimming pool is big and deep however, it is not suitable for non-swimmers and children. Even the shallow end is deeper than a young child. Supervision is essential. The hotel is popular for tour groups which means that the tourism industry sees this as value for money, but also means it can be very busy, especially with booming Chinese tourism. I have nothing to be disappointed about with my stay here."

"Family room suite has spacious space, worth the price. A 7-foot King size bed is perfect for family who has to sleep with kids. No floor stepping which would be dangerous for toddlers. Check in/out service is fast. Breakfast is good for everyone. A lot of selections, changing everyday. Gyms is also good but close at 8 pm is too early for nowadays's trend. Kids' club has a big ball house which is heaven for every kids (Small toddlers to the early adolescent!) It's free, though! This hotel is probably the only hotel in Chiang Rai which has a good kids' club with ball house. Anyway, hotel should provide attending staff, at least to control kids'play which always has various age groups at the same time. Another toys are mostly broken. Should be replaced and get maintenance. Swimming pool is also awesome for kids. A pool bar is also available. (It may be even a lot better if there is a curly water slide.) In-room amenity is well equipped."

"Greatest thing was Suvanna, the manager. She was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. I also really appreciated her English speaking skills. 2nd best was the pool that is long enough for laps. Poolside furniture was not very good. My room was very clean but the cleaner they use is toxic. I only let them clean my room once because the smell lingered for days. Breakfast buffet same everyday, mostly asia. Pancakes, French toast, peanut butter occasionally would have been nice. All in all, little pricey but nice place to stay."

"Wangcome is a pleasant clean hotel right in centre of Chiang Rai, all the facilities which a tourist may require are readily to hand. It's a little dated but clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu could do with a little more imagination, however, there is more than enough choice to see you through to a late lunch "

"This hotel is a great pick in Chiang Rai. The location is very convenient, close to the clock tower, a lot of restaurants and a market. The room was bright (only one small window but good light and all in white) and the bathroom newly renovated. The bed was huge and very comfortable. However, the room was not very spacious but enough for our stay and amount of luggage. We also really enjoyed having a water boiler and coffee/tee, which they refilled daily. We did not have any meals included, so we can't rate the food/dining. The staff speaks english and was very helpful, they helped us out with a map and organised a taxi for us to take us to the bus station. We highly recommend this hotel in Chiang Rai."

"stayed here while just visiting Chiang Rai for a couple days before leaving to Laos. One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in Thailand for one of the cheapest prices I’ve paid. I was able to book a room on the spot despite arriving at 11:30pm after a long day of travelling (and quite desperate for a place to stay) with no problem. Rooms and washrooms are extremely clean and comfortable, the wifi is perfect throughout the entire building, and the owners and staff are some of the nicest people you will meet on your travels."

"Stayed at Pimanninn for first time, and was more than satisfied w/ quality of room, especially for having been booked at such budget price. Location is not the best in Chiang Rai, but one may walk to several areas of interest w/in 20 minutes. Staff is very friendly, although severely lacking in English communication skills. Swimming pool is rather large, and Fitness Center is replete w/ high-qualify fitness equipment. If visiting Chiang Rai in future, will definitely consider booking at Pimanninn again."
