If you have extra time, worth making the trip to between Seville and Grenada, we're super happy we stopped by on the way.
Cordoba is interesting to visit for the folloowing reasons: 1) many unique architectural buildings, 2) the mixing of African culture with Spain for historical sites, and 3) Food is good.
Cordoba is a lovely city to walk around and features a very extensive collection of incredible monuments.
We spent only 1 night there and it was a shame because we spent 2 in Granada which is instead seriously overrated. The mosque/cathedral is possibly one of the nicest churches in the world and I would recommend anyone to visit it
Cordoba is a very medieval city and it is really worthwhile to visit. During tourist season it is packed with people.
In low season a lot of restaurants and places are closed.
Cordoba is just really simple. Getting does not require planning. A bike would do. Since it is a rather small city, the exploration pretty much stays within the heritage walls.
People are usually minding their own business and are friendly.
Sad thing when a mosque being converted to church, in the modern world of moderation, it is good to be neutral by giving it a status of a museum.
You can stay at the modern part of the Cordoba and have a walk in the historic part. The food i the tourist areas can be very expensive.
However, if you just walk for a few minutes, the food can be much more cheaper.
