Best hotels & accommodations in Coromandel

We had a very pleasant one night stay on our Coromandel peninsula tour. Our room was well appointed, although a hair dryer would have been useful, and comfortable. We were given good advice at Reception regarding things to do and places to eat. The centre of Coromandel town is just a couple of minutes away on foot.

Communal cooking & shared facilities meant we talked with our neighbours a lot. This made for a pleasant stay & sharing of information. This is a good central place for looking around Coromandel. We got a free feed of freshly caught snapper from our neighbours!

Very relaxing location with large well-appointed and private units overlooking the harbour. High level of cleanliness and plenty of space inside. Great to sit outside with a drink and enjoy the sunset, then drift inside. TV, Wi-Fi fine and plenty of cooking equipment if you want to go that way. Weather permitting, take in the bush walk to the township and don't forget ...

I booked the double room for 1 night. My only regret was that I didn't stay longer. The Lodge is in a quiet location and the grounds are well kept. It was rainy and cold during my time there, but it seemed like the many outdoor spaces would make it a great place to stay and relax during the spring/summer. My room was well decorated, very comfortable, and very clean. Th...

We had a lovely time here. There is a range of accommodation available from tent sites to motel units. We had the little motel cabin right by the beach. It was self contained and just right for two people. It's small but has everything and is very comfortable. The view out from the dining table is just lovely and we enjoyed this both nights we stayed (and turned t...

My husband and I recently stayed at Driving Creek Villas for the last 2 nights of a 2 week holiday in the North Island. The owner David was away so we were welcomed by his friend and neighbour Pete who was friendly and helpful. We stayed in Tokatea Villa which sits beautifully in the landscape. From the carpark right next to the entrance to the walled (tree fern trunks...

As a solo visitor I was overwhelmed with the space. The accommodation would be ideal for a family. Reception was smooth and friendly, and the room service breakfast was excellent. I would definitely book into the Coromandel Court Motel again if I was to visit the area.
