It is a lovely town that promotes art and sport event, it is walkable with beautiful pedway. Micro park is at every corner of the city makes it a wonderful place for people to connect to each other.
We suggest to provide more information on how to go to places like elk island or Devonian botany park, as we have been asking around and nobody seems to have clue on it.

The mall has an indoor theme park as well as an artificial beach. Edmonton is also known as a hockey city. The city's NHL franchise, the Edmonton Oilers are a good team to watch. University of Alberta is a nice, beautiful campus. River valley and the historic Legislature building are just steps away from the University.
The University of Alberta, Whyte Avenue, and downtown are located in the centre of Edmonton. These are probably the most well-known places in Edmonton.

Edmonton is a very boring city. Feels very vacant. Nothing but highways and mechanic shops it seems.
One good shopping center. Lots of driving and being stuck in slow traffic on massive streets. Bad weather. Cities like this with no spirit or sense of community or identity at all are kind of an embarrassment to Canada. They are expanding on the LRT train system. Wow. What under-achievers we Canadians are. Being in this city is actually depressing if you've ever lived in a more lively place.
Edmonton is the capital city of the province of Alberta, but it is not the largest one in the province.
Nevertheless, it does offer all the shopping amenities that many major Canadian cities would offer. We come to Edmonton often because this is the closest city from our rural town 3 hours away and we need to do things that can only be done in a city.
