"Whilst planning a road trip earlier this year I researched the accommodation around the Fish River Canyon and found this spot. Its the only one on the opposite side of the canyon, a bit of a drive, and i you ignore the thought of the last 19 kms of " path" , called a road then u have arrived in possibly one of the most awesome spots on the planet. Friendly staff, although a few things seem to slip their duties, like collecting glasses, plates and used ashtrays from the outside area, next to pool overlooking the canyon. Efficiency is the name of the game, they can only accommodate around 40 guests and there is an adequate staff compliment. Dinner was not great by a long shot , bland, almost mundane. I do understand the supply problem of fresh produce etc to such a remote location, but the breakfast was outstanding. The chef should become a touch more creative with the supplies he has. The room was perfect, amazing big shower and even an outdoor one, with a view of the canyon. Great water saving initiative too with the bucket they ask one to fill. Would return ? yip in a heartbeat."
