Just as in other large cities in Germany, Frankfurt was completely destroyed by the allied forces' bombing during the WWII.
There is nothing much in the city. as it is mainly for business. however you can travel out of the city for some sight seeing
Been to this city for couples of times on business trip and leisure as well. Good for shopping but nothing much on Sightseeing, don't mind to come back again and again.
Been to this city many times, good for shopping and dining, but the peoples here are not friendly and sometimes I do feel communication breakdown as not every local can speak English.
Many cool skyscrapers and the lovely walking area with very unique and nice trees along the Main river.
The Frankfurt exhibition center is a very important place for business activities in Europe. It is very clean and tidy, but you need to know the city very well to find good food.
The hotel is just opposite of metro and bus station. It is very easy to get to major tourist's attractions.
This was my first visit to Frankfurt. It was much too short, but I got a little taste. I stayed at the airport and it wasn't too difficult to get into the city.
First of all is Frankfurt voted under the 3 greenest towns in Europe and the greenest in Germany. Its not only the town with the most business and nearly 600 different banks and financal center.
In Frankfurt itself within walking distance , you can go to the river and museums, Romerberg..etc Outside from Frankfurt, can join one day tour or take a train to nearby sightseeing like black forest, cologne.
it is good for stay in this area as it is near central train station. Not much interesting place nearby.
Frankfurt am main is the largest business city of Germany. You can have a day tour and see many things of the city.
if you like shopping and party i would recommend frankfurt Main. people there love to party and their beers.
I saw many begging people in the Frankfurt Am Main. Even in the platform of the train to the airport, there were a few homeless people and some of them asked me to spare one Euro for them.
very beautiful city and would love to have more time to visit museums, for sure will be back whenever we have time for holiday LOVE FRANKFURT am Main
Frankfurt am Main is the biggest city in Germany and all the activities and people from any country stay in there, so many culture and the of food in that area

Germans are the friendliest people you can find! Friendly and helpful! And its safe for solo travelers!
Good place for short stay. Shops restaurants and transport all high standard. Good starting point for day trips on the river and to other cities nearby.
The city itself was very beautiful. It was pity that we stayed only 1 night to catch the plane. If I knew before, I would have stayed another day to look around the city.
Busy places but yet nice place for business stayed as there are an easy access to other location. Shopping, calture/historical area and near to airport
The city is a combinations of old and new. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Not all speak English. The river walk is wonderful place to excercise, ride a bike, or enjoy the scenery.
there is this great asian restaurant nearby the main train station open by a malaysian. the owner's name is kim.
Frankfurt am Main is a very pleasant city. It is beautifully located on the River Main and is also close to the Rhine Valley, which has some great vineyards.
The main train station is very filthy but the food malls are in good quality and good service. Many landmarks and church are still undergo renovation.
Frankfurt is a boring city, but there are still beautiful places for sightseeing: Roman district, Museum street and high street for shopping.
Frequent train / subways schedules to cities. The police are always on the look-out and enforcing the safety environment.
Always stay at city center due to easy access to many interseting point of view, business area, messe, oldcity romer, zeil, main river, sachsenhausen pedestrian area, hauptbahnhopf and airport.
Very continence to move around to any part of Germany. Very clear sign and helpful desk. Plenty of food around the station.
Frankfurt is really a nice place to go for anybody who wants to see a glimpse of Germany in such a short time.
