Within the city proper Geelong does not boast an awful lot of attactions but what there are can be found within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The biggest, really pleasant surprise was the national wool museum. When I first saw the name of the museum I thought it sounds like one of those places you take school kids for an educational day out. While there is a kids...

Came here as a stopover from the Great Ocean Road for a graduation trip with my parents. The owner was awesome in his welcome greeting, very helpful. The room interior may look dated but it is adequate to sleep in for the stopover night. Other than that, it is a short drive to the Geelong Waterfront where you can catch the breeze there. I will come back here soon if I ...

The motel was very convenient for us as travellers,There is a servo right out the front (convenience store) Wonderful eating venue (the Gateway Hotel) just down the road, and in our case driving a Classic vehicle the Vintage Markets, a little further down the road. (Excellent) We were aware the Motel was/is in management transition, however the acting Manager did her d...

The rooms were very clean and the rates were value for money. The host was also very friendly and introduced us several tourist spots around the area. designated parking slots are also conveniently located in front of our room. Takes only a 10 minute drive to Geelong Town.

Room was extremely clean, the room itself was spacious and welcoming, and the bed was very comfortable. The Staff were friendly and helpful. On top of this Motel being situated so closely to the Geelong CBD makes this Motel one my partner and I will definitely be coming back to. Highly recommended!

We had a one night stay at the Nireeda and it provided everything we needed. The hotel was easy to access, and great location to central Geelong. Within walking distance we could access restaurants, cafes, nightlife and the beach... The room itself was nice and clean, and provided everything we needed for a one night stay. i choose family cabin when i stay, the room is clean, and have enough for us to hang up the clothes. enough dining area for my family to make dinner and enjoy it. air condition make room warmer. in my parents' mind, this is the best choice during my trip in australia, and i will suggest it to my friend if they travel to geelong

We initially booked as a couple, then needed an extra bed. The owner Paul was more than obliging and updated our room to accommodate the extra person. The house was so beautiful. We felt so comfortable and at home and the breakfast was leisurely. We will definitely stay there if we return to Geelong.

I quite enjoyed my stay at the Parkside Motel in Belmont, Geelong. The room we stayed in was well equipped with all the necessities required. The location was a mjor plus, being just across the road from Kmart and coles. I would stay here again and recommend to friends.

bit of a hike from the station (South Geelong), but a peaceful friendly place with 2 pubs nearby, an excellent fish and chip shop, a 7/11 and various eateries. facilities include a microwave, a toaster plates, cutlery and a separate toilet from bathroom. Staff called us cabs and held our bags in storage. Very pleasant stay. Park opposite near stadium with trees and bir...

We have dropped by this motel on the second day before heading to ocean road. We only stayed one night. It was good but the kettle required to change because a lot of stain. Don’t dare to use it for boiling water. Other than this everything was great...

With only one night in Geelong The Belmercer was excellent , the room was extremely comfortable , clean and spacious , being on a rather main street it was very easy to travel into the Geelong Centre , Beach area and well catered foreshore area with plenty of restaurants for meals.

Checked into the GCC because of the no drinking policy. Was a bit fess appointed when the suit across was having a huge party with at lease 50 people in the suite. Very loud with drunk running outside the hallway after midnight. Didn't stop until 3am. Then start again the next night. Very disappointing. I hope GCC do something about guest like these. Call me to discuss...

I enjoyed my stay there a group of my friends stayed as well as we were attending a wedding in Geelong and I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Friendly proprietors lovely, inviting pool and clean as a whistle. That is all you ask for when you stay in Hotels

Very generous size, shower head was also a detachable hose which I love, all the things you need to cook food and the dishwasher was fabulous, Foxtel and air conditioning included, no bond to pay for the lodge and definite value for money, you wouldn't get a hotel room this cheap or with a fridge as big as Barwon had to offer. The pool and spa is huge and it is such a ...

Was very quiet hotel. In middle of nowhere I felt the price was a bit high compared to others similar price but more around the others shops etc.this hotel is good if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night. Quite a distance from city but is ok if you just using as a place to sleep Quiet location as its located on a local road used by locals inky. Not a built up...

We spent Mother's Day on a mini get away and the accommodation suited us so perfect. The kids (1 & 2) really enjoyed themselves on the big trampoline (as did their dad) and the cabin was roomy and clean. Staff were lovely and inviting. Definitely look forward to booking with you guys again soon.

Traveler impressions of Geelong
there are not many restaurant and shops. it is a small town between The Great Ocean Road and Melbourne, we chose it as a lay-over.
love the go ahead mayor and his hotel geelong is a very clean the taxi drivers know their city and are very honest you can spend breakfast to dinner at the waterfront as it caters for all and lots of things to keep the family busy
It was a fantastic experience for us travelling to Geelong. The entire city was well planned and structured.
Geelong is a small city which has a complete infrastructure. It has all the shops available in major cities and some elegant older buildings.
Its a small town, but the people is friendly. We just stay there for 3 days only, so we have no chance to explore much about the place, will visit there again if there any chance.
Esplanade is a good place to visit, but please make sure you bought the food before 5pm, or else you got nothing to eat
