Best hotels & accommodations in Great Barrier Reef

One of the best holidays we have ever had. Very relaxing. You quickly feel like you are totally removed from the world and on Hamilton Island time. No cars helps. The aprtments have spectacular views and the pools are close and sparkling clean. Everything you need is there. And really there are few places on the island better to eat a meal than on the deck of the apart...

In my opinion it was a bit overpriced hotel room - although both room and bathroom were big and spacious. Comfy and large bed with wooden furniture. Very nice terrace (which, if open you need to keep an eye on it all the time if you don't want any bird to get inside lol). Friendly staff, they also provided a large list of activities and restaurants to try during our...

I missed the warm and natural colors of the old decor. I know the island was hit badly by a cyclone, but the loss of color in the rooms reminded me and my husband of the bleaching of the reef around Lizard. Everything is just white! Bring back some color and warmth to the dwellings. The food was good and the staff was sweet. I had an amazing visit 10 years later!

Everything about our trip to Orpheus Island was a dream. The food was delicious, the facilities were gorgeous, staff was lovely, and management was attentive to our every wish and need. No picture or review could ever do this place justice. Make sure to snorkel the reefs, visit the clam gardens, watch the Milky Way, feed Tom the grouper, and charter a boat Hinchinbrook...

Nice place that is expensive and time consuming to get to. Once you're there, it is really a nice property. We took the helicopter there and the boat back. The additional cost for the helicopter may be worth it if the water is rough, which it wasn't for us. Peaceful ambiance. Good bar area, sports activities, and few guests (while we were there). Food was good, but not...

From check in to check out everything was perfect. The place looks amazing and all staff were friendly, helpful and happy. It really felt like we were in paradise. The tours were fantastic and I strongly suggest booking a snorkeling tour to the Great Barrier Reef. Its fantastic. We stayed in Villa 8 and it was perfect! the villa was in very good condition, very n...

More about Great Barrier Reef
Three of the most popular Whitsunday Islands are Hayman Island, Hamilton Island and Daydream Island. Hayman Island is reserved exclusively for Hayman Island Resort, a luxury establishment that offers a full range of modern accommodation, from standard sea-view rooms to themed penthouses with butler service. This private island has everything onsite – several restaurants, a spa, water sports, wedding facilities, even private homes for those seeking a sea change.
Hamilton Island is the second-largest of the Whitsundays and offers pure white sands and the idyllic turquoise waters of the Coral Sea. The island has several resorts, shops and some private residences plus an airstrip large enough to accommodation commercial airlines. Diving, swimming, jet-skiing, golf and whale watching are all popular pursuits on Hamilton.
Only one kilometer long, Daydream Island is one of the smallest tourist destinations in the Whitsundays. Part of the Molle archipelago, Daydream's main resort offers sailing, diving and various other watersports, plus conference facilities and a full-service spa. Visitors to Daydream will find themselves surrounded by a wide array of native Australian flora and fauna – reef tours explore the waters every day, crocodile tours skim over Australian wetlands and wallabies can be spotted daily as they comb the island for food.
