Best hotels & accommodations in Great Ocean Road - Port Campbell

This much anticipated trip to see the Great Ocean road was planned few months in advance and I had booked this property based on its location and rating. When I arrived around 6pm++ which was already dark due to the shorter day time (winter season), I found out that my top was taken by someone else. Luckily they quickly found me another room for my cranky children to ...

The villa is well located near to the town and major attractions along The Great Ocean Road. Both exterior and interior of the villa are well designed and crafted, in addition, it is well equipped with a laundry and kitchen area. However, one negative point is, there's only one toilet, hence, big families may face an issue. Nevertheless, it's one of the better choice, ...

Port Campbell is a beautiful coastal town along the Great Ocean Road. It fully warrants being explored and enjoyed and stayed in overnight. What better place to unzip your suitcase and take a break than this wonderful inn. The hostess was wonderful, taking the time to recommend sights and eateries from the viewpoint and appreciation of a local. The accommodation itself...

Everything was AWESOME! Had a night at Port Campbell before U-turning back to Melbourne. The host was so nice to prepare the room in advance for us prior to our late check-in as we were caught in a rainy weather along the Great Ocean Road. The host was so nice to explain the neighboring places/restaurant to us and we are lucky enough to get to the mini mart before it c...

My husband and I did the great ocean road in two days, and stayed here in port Campbell overnight. We arrived early evening after a LONG day in the car and it was exactly what we needed. The staff were incredible - very welcoming, knowledgeable and thought of everything (down to having the fireplace lit for us on arrival which was divine). Very private and super simple...

Located on the great ocean road not far from the sights (12 apostles, London Bridge, The Arch). Some restaurants nearby. Staying in Port Campbell was a wise choice as it's the largest town on that part of the Great Ocean Road. Good value, 2 bed rooms although we only used 1 of them. Reasonably clean in a quiet area of town. Had electric blankets and good functional h...

The cottage is very close to the Great Ocean Road, less than 5 minutes drive to Port Campbell town and 10 min to the 12 apostles. Fantastic location. The view from the cottage is lovely as it is on high ground and overlooking pastures with dairy cows grazing. The cottage itself is very clean with fully equipped kitchen (except no dishwasher) and every room has some fo...

I travelled with my sister and parents on this trip along the Great Ocean Road. The split level apartment was the PERFECT setup. Basically two separate living areas connected by a set of stairs. This allowed my sister and I our own space (including separate upstairs toilet and shower, kitchenette, lounge and balcony), but also close enough to the parents downstairs ...

Wonderful place for a family getaway! Quiet, homely, scenic and natural. We cooked, played family games walked around in the neighbourhood places and watched stars in the clear sky.. unique and memorable stay. Welcoming host and made us feel comfortable and cozy. Thank you.

Seems the owner designed the place for him/her to live there as everything were nicely planned/decorated. The place was very clean and the location is excellent too! Jayde was very helpful to us and followed up on the very minor issue we raised about the wifi. She gave us some local tips too! We are definitely staying here again the next time we are in Port Campbell!

we arrived late afternoon after a long drive from melbourne and a flight from darwin prior. the two bedroom wooden cabin overlooking native grasses and a fresh water lake were lovely to enjoy in the morning and afternoon. with lots of birdlife and to our surprise a fox. we received free milk, morning paper delivered to our door and wireless. the cabin we were given was...

We had a studio style cottage for the 2 of us which was spacious enough for our overnight stay and had a bed, couch, kitchenette, large bathroom and table with chairs. The main part of town is only about 1 kilometre away so fine to walk during the daytime but perhaps a little dangerous at night as there are no street lights & the road is windy. All in all we would st...

Traveler impressions of Great Ocean Road - Port Campbell
Its a great base to venture out to the Great Ocean Road attractions but food wise and shopping, the place is best avoided.
There are lots to do on this scenic route. Do stay a couple of days if you want to see it all. Get yourself a cup of coffee and sit by the cliff to marvel at the vast ocean.
It is so great for my parents and me. We enjoy a great view there and if you are willing to spend more time in Lorne and Campbell,I am sure what impresses you most is different lovely animals and landscape you will experience.
Port Campbell is perfectly located for exploring the 12 Apostles and Great Ocean Road. Stay a few nights and give yourself time to really explore the area rather than race from one famous view to the next.
One night stop is more than enough for Port Campbell, not much to do except the beach to relax after a day in the car.
The great ocean road on its own offers a great views of the ocean. That however isn't all, there are many nooks and corners of the this National Park that one should consider exploring.
You have the choice to stay at port cambell or appolo bay. But i prefer port cambell as it is peacefull
Drive and manouver well through the GOR as the road is windy to make sure your passengers don't puke.
Unique Coast Line. It is a must to visit Port Campbell National Park - Gibson Steps, 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge etc and Bays of Islands Coastal Park.
Nice small town. Great base for exploring the great ocean road. Close to 12 apostles and other sites.
The Great Ocean Rd is a fantastic drive. You can do it in a day but best to take two or three days so you can check out the numerous towns on the great ocean and sightseeing activities.
It was amazing and impressice trip. Self driving tour will be most recommended as you can stop at any look out point as you wish.

We book a room with either double or queen bed. The queen bed provided would be been sufficiently comfortable 3 with our 5 year old. The form desk officer offered to give us a pull out bed after seeing my 5 year old Son. He was so thoughtful and we took up his kind offer. Nice, clean and within 5-10 minutes from the town centre. Rey comfortable bed, with good heatin...
